I was at Knott's about 2 years ago (I think it was Solace weekend) and about to get on Ghostrider. The ride op was doing his spiel, and he sounded really quiet and shy. Like you could barely hear him, then he started YELLING practically right in the rider's faces. His spiel went something like this: "Welcome to Ghostrider. Please remain seated at all times and keep hands and arms inside the train...FEEL THE HEAT!!!!!!!!!! GHOSTRIDER!!!!!!!!!!!!"

I don't know if this counts, but "Voyage to the Center of the Earth" at Water World Colorado has to be my favorite.

Car 4 is NOT the smoothest. In fact, it is the most painful. It is the catch car, so it's extra painful during the catch and release on the second lift. is a video I made of me getting my ass kicked by the ride.

DUUUUDE!!!! I am so sad for you about Boomerang being closed. Car 4 is the best/worst ever. I agree with you completely that Flying Coaster is an insanely worthless POS. But, I will however have to disagree about Mind Eraser. I think that just about ties with Flying Coaster in the pain department.

I just moved to the Denver area. All my friends are lagging on buying APs. I will gladly meet up with somebody at Elitch's.

Definitely the funniest noise (or things said, in this case) I've heard was while we were waiting in front of KBF early in the morning on Silver Bullet's opening day and everytime the train would cycle, we would hear the reporters that were riding say "Now we're going into the cobra roll!". We were quoting that all day, and of course said it when we finally got on the ride.
