  1. In case anyone was wondering about the splashdown: rattlesnakes are adept at swimming and will take to water readily in order to pursue food, mates and refuge, and to escape harassment (taken from a rattlesnake FAQ) So apparently, someone was harassing Diamondback, or it's just pursuing a mate... -James Dillaman
  2. So I downloaded the files: RAW_1_Woodies.mp4.gz, etc. And Safari says "Decompression failed" beneath the files, and I can't decompress them with stuffit expander, either. Can you help me? EDIT: never mind, you have to change the name and remove .gz after downloading, then it works fine! -James Dillaman
  3. Would love to see the coaster expeditions on ipod, too! I'd buy the complete set, even though I already have 8 of the DVD's -James Dillaman
  4. Your pictures of fantazy land look about the same as the last thread posted here. Were any of the rides open and did you have the courage to go on them? -James Dillaman
  5. When was the last time a Hurricane hit Utah? Seriously, that's like saying you live in Wildfire, Antartica.
  6. ^That wasn't what I was implying at all. I just was going to say you've got some pretty good footage. Have you ever done any park-specific videos? -James Dillaman
  7. Invertigo or whatever it's called now (the old Face/Off) always has a SLOW line, so I'd hit that before the crowd gets in the action zone too badly. Firehawk also is a capacity nightmare sometimes. I actually wouldn't be too worried about Diamondback's line as long as they have all the trains running. Also, if you're interested in all the credits, you might actually want to hit up the kiddy coasters early in the day, as they can get very crowded on a weekend afternoon. -James Dillaman
  8. ^Am I tripping or is that the same video....? -James Dillaman
  9. there's a webcam? -James "supports ginzo's viewpoint" Dillaman
  10. ^ After the wind storm we had last year, I'd be surprised if another coaster is built through the trees like Beast is. Too much of a liability and too expensive to repair from trees falling. Beast has to remain closed after strong winds until maintenance walks the track.
  11. isn't there a youtube thread, or am I tripping? Both is also an option...
  12. ^ Yeah, I wish they would get a great wooden coaster. An Intamin Pre-fab, GG, or GCI would be awesome....
  13. Hope you got that stomach bug I sent you for your birthday, Chuck! Julia says hi from Boston, and I'm still waiting for you to come to Cincinnati, how about some Diamondback, Chuck? You'll feel much better after a B&M Hyper. Take 2 large drops with airtime and call me in the morning.... -James
  14. ^ Did you look at the picture? If there are 3 trains, the line will move fast, less than that, get used to waiting. It all depends on the operation.
  15. posted from above link... smart trains always wear a condom when they enter an unfamiliar track...
  16. I will have to look for you. Looking at a rental car at the moment even though it is only 3 hours away, my car needs work and the ride over would suck. Plus I am trying to score a 2008 Malibu for a rental. Alright, 26 freaking degrees on Saturday! I was going to say, it'll be easy because I'll have my TPR shirt on....but I will be wearing more than a tshirt, hahaha. Umm... OH! I'll be wearing my epic Penguins of Madagascar blue and gold hat haha. You don't have the awesome TPR hoodie, yet? Aren't they on sale? You should jump on that. I love mine!
  17. Not as hot as the front of your mom! j/k. Nice to see the train on the track. I wouldn't be surprised if they start testing by the start of next month. -James Dillaman
  18. ^^ If I were you, I'd keep my mouth shut. They were nice enough to let you have another job, and admitting to alleged safety violations is bad for your employer. These things should remain internal. Just some advice as I see you're pretty young, still. You should be aware of privacy rules which I'm sure you signed off on when you were hired... -James Dillaman
  19. Well Dixieland can have some "racist" tones to it, besides that they might just be searching for a rebranding to move in a new direction. -James Dillaman
  20. So the auction winners will get first rides.... AFTER the passholder preview night? Am I correct? -James Dillaman
  21. It's a prototype Stand Down coaster. I'd explain how it works, but then you'd have to kill me. -Namallid Semaj
  22. Now if we merge this with the spanking thread.... -James Dillaman
