  1. -The 200 ft coaster is Superman -The water ride is Penguin's Blizzard River But we still havent received the rest of the approved attractions. I'm hoping that GADV's ferris wheel is not leaving that park and coming to SFA as the approved 120 ft ferris wheel. (if its not 120 ft then whoops lol, dont know how tall that thing is) Here's the link, Washingtonpost.com I think a B&M stand-up is perfect for a HUGE announcement the park has yet to announce. It's a good theory, don't get me wrong, but it also doesn't mention Batwing at all. So, you could be right, and this could be the "Fabled Stand-up Coaster of Six Flags America" But, that stand-up could have been changed to a Vekoma "lay-down" coaster. So you could be right, and that article does make a very good argument,(EDIT:) and the seventh attraction could be Batwing
  2. I Would definitely have to agree with you there, I mean honestly Silverwood needs something better than a Deja Vu. And like you said Silverwood would announce it right after they get in the clearing for it. SO with that being said, is there an American park that is good at keeping a secret when it comes to a new attraction? (And thanks for supporting one of my many theories )
  3. Why are you so surprised? They aren't so bad....
  4. But why would they make a coaster for the UK in America, when there in a manufacturing plant in Europe? And which company do you mean, the "x-works.com" thing, isn't that just stock monitoring?
  5. I never thought of it that way. So, that being the case, would there be some type of indicator for it to be classified as floorless?
  6. You beat me to the punch Robb! I think you are right though, it's the only reason I could think there would be an "L" in the label for a floorless coaster.
  7. Found a floorless: http://rcdb.com/ig1549.htm?picture=6 Not quite what I thought......
  8. ^I believe you would be correct. So, by that logic, it shouldn't be a flyer, or Dive Machine, or an Inverted Coaster, or a laying coaster, correct? So then, by this logic we should know that it is either a standing, or sit-down, because wouldn't a floorless have something like a "FC" or maybe even a compound like "FSC"?
  9. Or maybe they are re-furbishing Chang, I mean it *is* in Kentucky Kingdom (Just Kidding) You guys have brought up a valid point about the letters on the labels. DM=Dive Machine. With that being said, does anyone have a picture of the labels of when any stand-up or sit-down coasters where built?
  10. Whispers of a "Divine Ride: The Ride" come to mind here... Adam this is awesome! They could call it "The Rapture!" It would be themed as the destruction of the world. And the ride would simulate all the believers being taken to heaven whole. That would be a great reason that the ride is bright yellow. It is supposed to simulate all the rays of light that emanate from Jesus as he welcomes you at the pearly gates. I vote for this! Besides, it still leads to it being a stand up as everyone will be lifted in a prone "standing" position. Guy "I'm there on opening day." Keep Hhahahaha! That is the only coaster my aunts would ride!
  11. Don't hate, Shockwave is amazing. It's not nearly as rough as Anaconda, and the wooden coasters. OH MAYBE THAT'S IT! THEY ARE REPLACING ANACONDA WITH A B&M!!!! (in the words of GLaDOS) ha-ha fat chance.
  12. I just wish we knew where it was going, at this point I don't care what it is as much as where it's going I know it's been said, but I think it could really only be a flyer, or a type of sit-down at this point, from the pictures we have seen so far. Im not being ungrateful, but it is a shame we don't have more pictures
  13. IMO (as much as I want it to happen) I don't think it's going to go to KD, and I highly doubt that it is going to SFA. As was stated earlier, it probably won't be going to a smaller park, just due to cost, and economy. My bet would probably be somewhere out of the USA. Unless there is a Cedar Fair of Six Flags park that has the code-name; X-WORKS (which I doubt unless someone has a factory stamp that says there is a CF or SF with that name), then it's not going to be in America. I think this mystery track is a floorless coaster, but only time will tell. It *could* be Alton Towners' new attraction, but nobody know for sure. Either way Im sure we are all hoping that we will hear something soon, hope like most B&Ms that it will be smooth, and Im sure no matter where it goes it will be a good ride.
  14. DUDE! Im such a nerd I LOVE Back To The Future! and I've always wanted a DeLorean! (Im so jealous) and need some nerd cookies, like a whole batch. great pictures, and I SO need to go to that shop!
  15. Wow, at least King's Dominion and Busch Gardens Europe keeps rides and coaster open in the rain. I have to say that it was just stupid and irresponsible of the park to do this type of terrible operation.
  16. Yeah it's sad, but then again they should have known to NOT open the park due to the shape of the economy. and it's not like the park was in the best location of South Carolina I wonder where the coasters are gonna go.....
  17. HA! the Grizzly at King's Dominion needs a replacement more than Mean Streak. Grizzly can make any wooden look and feel smooth as glass, oh wait it does, I've ridden Mean Streak like 5 times in a row, and it was fun, didn't hurt one bit. but back on topic here, I know there has to be more people on this site who are gonna work at an amusement park.
  18. no stalling or lagging, the videos are fine, load fine and everything. then again, I don't play it until it fully loads, which the newest video from your Japan trip loaded in under 20 seconds.
  19. wow parks in America NEED these Intamin Mega Lite coasters
  20. yeah, I think you where there when I went opening day this year.....
  21. I never knew that particular Vekoma flat was at BGE..... (wonder where it was in the Italy section.....) I miss the flight commander at KD, it was so much fun, especially when they would just let it keep going for like five minutes. I also love the Drachen Fire picture from Loch Ness Monster, as well as the King Cobra picture! Richard "Ready for ShockWave's newest ride op?" Sikes
  22. Hi! I was wondering if anyone on here is going to be working at a Cedar Fair owned park for the 2009 operating season, (if you know) what ride, or general position? Myself, Im going to be working at King's Dominion for this season, working at Shockwave! W00T for TOGO madness!
  23. I wonder if I was working that day..... did you see a clown in a red ringleader coat, with a mask that was similar to "the Joker"'s? at the Shockwave end of the Grove/ CarnEvil? me at work the 2008 KD HAUNT
  24. Wow, I can't believe it... However, it is a good thing that he did not slip away un-noticed.
  25. this year I actually went on a roller coaster expedition! for 2008 the *new-to -me-parks* are: Busch Gardens Africa, Six Flags Over Georgia, KennyWood, Hershey Park, Dorney Park & Wildwater Kingdom, and Six Flags Great Adventure. *water park; Aquatica (does that count?)* so that's 6 new parks I've been to! re-visits: Cedar Point (which was disappointing b/c everything was closed the whole day:angry: by everything I mean Maverick, Gemini, Blue Streak, Raptor, Wicked Twister. TTD was the only thing that never broke down for any amount of time *shock*) also, Islands of Adventure, Universal Studios, and I go to King's Dominion and Busch Gardens Europe all the time. so that is 11 total parks I've been to this year (if we aren't counting Aquatica) (too bad we aren't counting every park we've ever been to) EDIT: Im going to Knott's and SFMM this weekend!
