Dominator track at KD
DRACHEN_FIRE_FAN-BOY replied to Clint Novak's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
it was a mix of dark blue/ dark green and grey to make the color it is, but they said it was dark blue..... but anyways... why have they not started site prep!? that's just downright dumb! -

eh.... those colors are...... okay I suppose..... I think I would have gone with the same blue for the supports, and the main color for the trains (those two swoosh things on the sides of the cars, would be the grey and dark purple). The seats the standard grey. the harness' dark purple. The track should be grey as well eh, not my problem, although IM still pissed at Kings Dominion for saying the original color scheme for Shockwave was gonna come back last year.... and IT DIDN'T! Im sorry but bright purple, electric green and bright orange just don't make that coaster look good.... -
NO! disaster transport sucks balls! Partially enclosed is fine, but not fully enclosed! I wonder where the tunnel is gonna be.... I like that its going to be dual loading ^_^ if X2 is going to be crimson that's fine, but if it's gonna be bright red, that's gonna be slightly annoying, not as bad as the pink and yellow (thank god) I've been on X a lot, and I thought that it was pretty smooth.... especially the front row. if they are moving X the where Psyclone was, that would be pretty amusing...

hehe, ya no more parking lot coasters! BAN PARKING LOT COASTERS! As for the cost of this "renovation" for X: I don't think it that far fetched for 10 million for new trains. Think about it, Arrow/ S&S has only made 2 of these 4-D coasters, so that technology is still pretty advanced. Like it was previously stated I think most of that money is going towards the new trains. Becasuse honestly, you don't see Multi-Dimensional coasters popping up left and right... if the trains were readily available, it probably wouldn't cost as much as it does. .....Or, someone wants a big Christmas bonus.....

yeah, Im trying to be positive about the "X2!"... ..... but C'MON! the few thing I hope they do change: 1) that color scheme has got to go, Im sorry but the pink and yellow.... is for lack of cognitive words to express it awkward, and ugly 2) the rough-ness of that last raven turn (aka the wtf where am I and how did I get here turn) I hope they don't change the color scheme of the trains though... becasue those strips with that weird color-ness on the fins, is freakin' awesome I do have some questions though.... like, will it have the same number of cars per train (unlike Eejanaika). And (not trying to repeat what Elissa said, but) WHY!? Why are they making a big deal out of new trains, and adding all this lighting, and tunnels and crap that really isn't needed? (well the new trains are... but you get the idea) *laughs* how long do you think the tunnels and crap will last? I just hope SFMM doesn't make X completely suck-tastick. becasue hearing the screams of disappointed roller coaster enthusiasts is not a good scream to hear.... EDIT!: the new color scheme is just like Eejanaika!? WHHHHHHYYY!?!?!? why can't it be something better, and not so freakin' brightly colored, maybe a dark red, dark blue in the rails, and maybe a rusty color for the supports... make it look like it's gonna fall or something (INDUCE FEAR FOR THE FIRST-TIMERS!)

Im just glad they are FINALLY getting a B&M coaster... I just wish they would also put in a massive B&M Hyper coaster T_T oh well, I guess that could wait a little longer..... Im just thanking God that they finally have a B&M... ....also they need some damn padding in seats of the Italian Job coaster..... hopefully we'll see some real construction before the winter, I might go up next friday and look around outside the gates....... and Dominator needs a better color scheme -

Maybe you're just thinking like someone who thinks they know what they're talking about, but in fact are just blowing smoke out their a$$. Leave the building of roller coasters to the professionals. They know what they're doing. thanks for being a jerk: I never claimed to know anything, it was just my opinion. and yes, it might be wrong, but I have a right to say what I think, and I don't need you to say that Im blowing smoke out of my butt, because Im not. I didn't say that I "know" they can do this or that. I was wondering why they couldn't. so, thanks for being a jerk Carnage -

that's why they need to do more now, before winter hits them -

Busch Gardens and King's Dominion open in March. Then they start opening daily around late May/ June. So, they could open it in April, rather than May. They'd just have to do a little more per day, or work more days per week and more days per month. All Im just saying it's a bit silly that things don't open earlier in the year. I just don't see why they don't do more construction faster, test it earlier, and open it earlier than May. Maybe Im just thinking logically... -

it would be pretty cool to see the blueprints hopefully I can go in May >_< -
hey Robb! Big Bad Wolf makes my top 30! XLR-8 at AstroWorld in in my 30 as well Ninja is a lil rough, and Iron Dragon sucks in comparison to Big Bad Wolf. it's a slow, mundane, sub-par, suspended coaster. Bat looks cool, and they should have done more to save it. I really wish it was still around, it looks like fun. But there always has to be a flop in design, before they get it right. but oh well, nothing we can really do about it now.

I know that sometimes things get adjusted about the ride during the project. I wouldn't think that they would claim to have a 85 degree drop, and then not do it. This is B&M we are talking about here. If they were to adjust the ride, Im sure they would post it, or something. Kinda like when Intamin had to take out the one element on Maverick... -

very true, it's still operating like a Paramount Park >_< but I would think that they would want to get on construction before Winter.... but then again, construction crews haven't been logical lately -
