  1. ^ Which in my opinion needs all of it to be moved where the "new" parts of Water Works was built (behind Rebel Yell). I'd love to see Lake Charles come back.
  2. I LOVE seeing old pictures of King's Dominion, hopefully the vice-president will keep her word and start bringing back the old charm the park used to have.... (including "The Time Shaft") thanks for the pictures!
  3. nice! glad to hear they fixed the allignment problem.
  4. In all honesty all they need to do is re-theme Avalanche to something like; "Lava Gulch" or something.... because snow usually isn't around when there is lava erupting out of an active volcano..... I always thought they should have move Ricochet to the Congo, and re-themed it, and put BLSC beside Rebel Yell/Hurler..... but that's just me. All I want to see put back in BLSC is the lights, they looked so awesome at night, but then again so does any coaster with lights at night. The splash still kinda works, the helicopter has only worked maybe five times out of the 35 times I went last season. And last, they really reeeeeeeeeally need to add padding around the butt area, becasue that last drop then the supposed "air-time" bump really hurts if your not practically standing.
  5. That is a pretty nice site. On the 21st I go in for processing to be a "ride host" (aka Ride Op) for Shockwave, get my uniform, and such. When I am there, Im going to try and get some pictures of the new flat ride, and of anything that might have new paint (please let Rebel Yell have the old Red, White, and Blue)
  6. Done, Im done with this freakin' thread, good bye, tell me when you figure it out
  7. What I meant is; the labels are not to trick, but to leave this coaster a secret by not labeling a park we know on the labels of the track that was pictured. So yes, we know it is a coaster, but it is to leave the "where" out of the picture until a proper media release has been issued. Im just saying that there is no "proper label" in the sense of no park or park operations company that we are aware of is labeled. So I think that maybe a park operations company and B&M wanted to keep this somewhat of a secret. No trick, just labeled to stay a secret, and keep us distracted until a proper announcement has been made. Is that better?
  8. ^ If this is your point then you're just stating the obvious. Or am I too missing something? Dave Tell that to the person who is trying to argue with me
  9. You still don't quite get my point.
  10. I never said trick, B&M is probably just tired of us going to the factory and finding out things before the press release.
  11. Im not saying that it isn't going somewhere or that it is fake, what I am saying is that the track is made, it's going somewhere, clearly the labels don't give us enough information, which is what B&M wants.
  12. no no no no The pillars not the frame-work supports, like at the turn around after the second drop of Phantom
  13. ^defiantly agreed. Spine and saddle allignment is kinda important, we don't' want people to start going on about that stupid stupid stupid Final Destination 3 movie *grumbles about how stupid that movie was... wasting my money* But anyways, yeah Im hoping this little problem can quickly be resolved, Phantom is great, and it would be a shame to see it not open with the park. I am glad to see the work that has been done, and it appears to be following essentially the same run. Though I'd have to say Im surprised they didn't take the old arrow supports out, and put in new Morgan supports..... But Im not the decision maker in that park.
  14. ^Yeah, but you have to realize, we all are hoping for it to go to our home park...... or Carrowins (In the words of GLaDOS; that was a joke, haha, FAT CHANCE) Oh we are such miserable fan-boys & girls. I think that this is nothing more than a speculation topic now. I mean honestly, why would B&M make a bunch `o track without any type of "real" label? I think this was something made by B&M to make us quit breathing down their necks about everything they make, because now they realize us Surfs now understand what mobile cars are and how to use them, along with picture takers (oh noes, how dare we use cameras) That's what I think it is, just something B&M made to distract us with pretty track, because we all have ADD, "..... OOOOOOH look something SHINY!!!!"
  15. ^ What air-time on Griz? There is only one spot that isn't painful (excluding the station) and that's where the air-time is supposed to be (before the tunnel). The front is "ok" not as painful, but still. And like I said RY isn't that bad now that most (probably now all) of the Lake Charles side has been re-tracked.
  16. Depends greatly on which side or RY that you ride....for me the left side,or "lake charles side" as I've dubbed it was HORRID in 08 with major jackhammering on the drops just before the turnaround.Perhaps springloaded upstops would solve that problem? not just on RY but on all of the park's woodies with the exception of ghoster coaster. What's with the lack of love for the Grizz? Sure the ride kinda beats you up but in a good way when compared to Hurler & I happen to love the pacing of the ride with the brief breaks in the action & last but not least you just can't beat that headchopper tunnel coming off of the bunnyhill following the drop off of that first slow curve....no matter how many times I ride it I always find myself ducking through that section of the course. A guy could get castrated, that's how bad Griz is. Hurler, the turns are really the only bad part, the airtime is still safe, unlike RY. And the Lake Charles side has had some re-tracking done, so, it's not that bad (they started re-tracking I believe in the summer). And according to my area manager, all the re-tracking for that side is supposed to be done before the park re-opens for the 09 season. And the other side is being re-tracked right now during the off months. So, Im hoping my manager was right..... but yeah, at least RY is getting *some* TLC. IMO Hurler just needs the turns to be worked on, and Griz needs some track-work done.
  17. It's not that bad, if you ride it in the morning, or after it rains, it's still a good ride. I agree neither Grizzly or Hurler has aged well, but they aren't going to get rid of either of them.
  18. Yeah, but it that picture it looks like more than just "standard" maintenance. And tell that to parks that own an Arrow Coaster....
  19. That's sad if trains from a coaster that has only been open since 04 already needed re-hab....
  20. yeah you might be right, but that would be really early for rehab on "Scream!"....
  21. Yeah the park opens late, but training for me starts the 14th of March! Which is kinda messed-up, but at least I'll be getting paid. A lot of schools on the west side of Richmond have Spring Break in March.
  22. So, I know that there has been some weather that isn't so great for track work, but, I was wondering if anyone has taken pictures of the re-tracking?
  23. So, I *THINK* I may have seen a picture of the trains' rehab..... http://www.premier-rides.com/parts_service/rehab.htm just a thought, but it could be the trains...... (don't know why Premier Rides would be preforming the rehab....)
