  1. Eejanaika is better because it doesn't make my eyes bleed.
  2. Ooooo, i dunno. How about, Ultimate, Gouderix, Roller Coaster (Manhattan Express), El Condor... And would somone like to suggest a 5th?
  3. With so little track, i would have bloody hoped it was finished by now. Dunno about this coaster. The twist and the seating are really interesting and i love the way it goes over the pathways. It's got an unusual height to it. Just sort of meanders over the ground at an odd height. It just seems... a shame that - yet again - it's gimmic and lets just forget about the rest of the design. That's not necisarally making it a bad coaster, it just.. seems... a bit
  4. Chessington is a little bit closer than Thorpe along the motorway. Literally a few miniutes. I'm not sure how far Chessie/Thorpe are by road. About 45mins? I take public transport, which takes about 1:10 to Thorpe, just under an hour for Chessie. Legoland is a little further in the same direction. Then Paultons to the south and the southern seaside credits. Adventure Island can't be that far either. It makes me giggle when people list parks like 3 hours to them. Hehe, Alton's about that far if the traffic's good. Which means Drayton is too.
  5. Cerberus posted a video here and i had to bloody sign up to download it. >:C
  6. Speed was crap. I don't udnerstand, but first ride it was amazing. Second ride it just hurt. third ride and i vowed never again. I know it sounds dumb, but it reminded me a lot like Colossus. It has NO re-ride value and is unecisarally rough. First time i rode it, it was incredable. And then wtf happened. The first drop was AMAZING, the hill was AMAZING... or, would have been, but the restraint killed my sholders. It was like somone kitting you really hard with one of those tri-rular things on your sholder. Then the turn around. Eugh. It seems Eurofighter trains can go up and down fine, but turnign to the side prooves to be impossible. The trains suck. I'm hoping the tri track will make Rage a little more sterdy than Speed and hopefully less rough. It just seems a shame it's lacking the airtime hill, which was Speed's redeeming feature. Mystery Mine looks painful. The drop that turns... Still, Rage is local, i must go whore and then whine about how i hate it.
  7. Dunno, theme as in concept... or theme as in best executed theme? Best concept goes to Dueling Dragons hands down. Best executed theme Nemesis, Black Mamba, and Batman La Fuga. And DD, really. Cept from what i've seen, the actual ride has no real themeing at all.. it's just the queue. Which is cheating. Trains are uuber sexy though. Maybe Montu too.. dunno, it's like... seems similar to DD to me. Themed on the outside and then LEFT because you can't really see much of the rest. I HATE it when you can't get near coasters. I really bloody hate it. (sez me with my Ultimate avatar...)
  8. I love Avalanch at BPB, but it's the only one i've been on so i won't vote. I was shocked when i first rode how much speed it picks up!
  9. Well, since thorpe is one of my locals... Aren't i lucky. I like X:/WTF for all the wrong reasons. It's one of those "it's so terrible it's halarious" rides. I don't remember much of it when it was still using it's 'theme.' The main difference though was you never used to know it was backwards. There where 'elevators' that took groups to the train, and you didn't realise it went backwards until it left the station. The doorways before the station used to close. I think it was last year, but they put like techno music on in the pyramid (the music in the queue was from the matrix, but no one seemed to know where the other bit was nicked from) and had like, lights and things. And it was AWESOME fun. And then they stopped doing it! UGH. It would be so cheap to 're-theme' with some christmas lights and funky music, but no. Thorpe suck.
  10. Females don't continue being any sort of enthusiast past a certain age. In any fandom. It's got nout to do with Coasters and more to do with they just seem grow out of obsessions. Who knows why. With the odd exception. While it's not totally the same, i have a female friend a little younger than me who is scared of riding. And this is how i got her into coasters. She spends more time watching and observing and enjoying all that the park has to offer. She's done Vampire at Chessington, and in March we shall try for Air.
  11. S'all very confusing. Like on the Port Aventura site, aparently there are no vanancies all year in any of the hotels... wtf? That can't be right surely.
  12. Like i said on CF, i don't know WHERE you found this. But i just done a search for a return Eurostar and the cheapest i see is £85... Hm, very odd. I'll have to contact tesco...
  13. Probably a stupid question - was this like a package or did you book it all yourself? Is the bus from le airport free, was it part of your package or... what? I really want to plan myself a trip next year, but i'm so useless with this stuff. I've found out i have enough Tesco vouchers to get the Eurostar for free! But it won't take my all the way to Disney. Part of the Tesco terms and conditions. Blah, anyway, nice tp. Makes me wanna go even more.
  14. It's incredable how friendly some of the companies seem to be. I know people who wrote to Vekoma and got tones of really neat stuff! A friend of mine once decided to phone up a few companies, and Vekoma where the friendliest wanting to tell us everything about Kumali. What sort of things have people actually wrote in order to get such cool stuff?
  15. Hahah, yeah me too. I personally think it's going to be so bad it's incredable. It will really put a lot into perspective too.
  16. Why not? I'm not sure I understand the logic behind your statement. Just because Kingda Ka is taller and faster doesn't mean that it's necessarily better than Stealth. Personally, I quite enjoyed Stealth! It wasn't my favorite rocket by any means, but I actually enjoyed it more than TTD and ranked it as such. I prefered Stealth's straight drop over TTD's twisty drop, and I prefered the more powerful launch on Stealth. While I haven't ridden Kingda Ka yet, I can only imagine that I would most likely also prefer Stealth over Ka, just based on the fact two factors I mentioned above. --Robb Fair enough. I think the twist back down looks really cool personally, but i havn't ridden so i don't know. I know that Stealth's launch is more powerful than TTD's, but i wouldn't have thought it was that noticable to be honest. And isn't Ka's more powerful? So, i dont get your "based on the two factors above" comment., entirely. Still, the majority of people are going to assume the same as i did i would have thought. Certainly those who havn't ridden both. The only guy i know who's ridden both prefers Ka. With such similar coasters, i would have thought size does matters to most.
  17. The coaster i'd most like to ride is Katun... But i have a huge list.
  18. What amuses me is how Stealth came above KK. No one's going to take the 4 out of the top 5 European coasters seriously for good reason. I'm slightly shocked that MF has dropped to 6th this year, but glad. Perhaps out of spite.
  19. I've been on 3 SLC's, all different models ironically. Out of the two i actually remember riding, neither are rough enough to make me complain. Traumatizer, now Infusion, gave me a headache - but i am very suseptable to headaches. I find Kumali wicked smooth. It's gotten faster as well. The first drop is awesome. The layout is boring, i hate the cobra roll and the last helix, but the zero-g is wicked cool too. It's not amazing, but it's ...good. EDIT: I've just noticed that with Ultimate as my avatar, no one is going to take me seriously when i say a coaster isn't rough.
  20. ...Haha, awww. I wonder that else will happen then.
  21. Glases do not fall off when you bend over (ahaha...) thus there is no way they would come off on a coaster. You have to physically take them off. I don't wear glases, but i'd imagine the fear of loosing them is pretty great. I'd probably either get used to contacts especially for park trips (like a good friend of mine does) or get a strap for piece of mind.
  22. I wish Flamingoland all the luck in the world. That park has a lot of potential, but in this transition stage it's just boring there. It's nice to see the place filling up with OMG LOOK A CREDIT! Hahaha. Never went to American Adventure.
  23. I've had a really good year. I owe it all to www.coasterforce.com and it's members again for all the awesome CF-Lives and member meets. I jotted down in my diary every time i went to a park this year because last year i lost count. February: Blackpool Pleasure Beach March: Thorpe Park, Chessington, Chessington, Thorpe Park April: Flamingo Land, Thorpe Park, Chessington May: Thorpe Park, Alton Towers June: Dreamland Margate July: Chessington, Chessington, Oakwood, West Midlands Safari Park, Paultons Park August: Alton towers, Blackpool Pleasure Beach, Southport Pleasureland, Chessington, Alton Towers September: Thorpe Park, Flamingo Land, Lightwater Valley October: Thorpe Park, Chessington, Chessington, Thorpe Park November: Thorpe Park Highlights include, Dropping my digital camera off the PMBO, finding it, getting it back... turning it on... and it working. Getting stuck at Blackpool in Febuary... it was freezing. I think Cerberus posted the video here a while back. Stealth opening day and getting evacuated off Colossuck's lifthill, but being greetd with hot chocolate and Stealth exit passes when we got down made up for Colossucks' sucking. Getting my video camera! Woo! Finally able to make videos! Going to Oakwood for the first time, hating Speed. The Ultimate and the 6 bruises received. <3 Getting stuck at one of the DLP hotels on the way back from Mauritus, not being able to go into the park and the day after was GhosterForce at Thorpe Park - the trip i'd waited all year for! ARHG! Finally arrived at London heathrow at 8am.... by 10am we drove past Thorpe (but my mums A$$HOLE boyfriend wouldn't take a detour to drop me off). By 1pm i'd been home and got back to Thorpe. Phew. And here's a picture of Cerberus falling off Velocity to round it all up.
  24. My comp keeps giving me the blue screen of death, then it's okay. Whoo, i should really sort it out.
  25. It was math. I HATED math. ...shortly followed by Geography, but that was down to my teacher who said nothing but 'sheeple' (translation : shoosh pelase).
