  1. Wow! SF is really hitting the wild mouse-style coasters hard. Just about EVERYONE will be let down by all three of these coasters. All of the GP simpletons will definitely wait in line for an indoor coaster called THE DARK NIHGT because it sounds scary. As soon as they figure out that its a wild mouse everyone will be PISSED! Is this one in particular replacing Skull Mountain or the Chiller?
  2. This leaves me to belive that Shapiro needs a bad idea for every good one...
  3. This ride looks ultra-stunning. Hershypark continues to deliver!!!!!!!!!!!
  4. Robb stopped that last thread in its tracks! (That was fast!) For some reason, despite this ride's obvious apeal for origonality and quality, it feels like the park will be lacking something that every other SF park has. On the normal SF Wood/Steel coaster ratio, it's about 7-12 steel coasters for every one woodie. Certanly not the case for St. Louis.
  5. ^ I was at CP for 4 days, but I didn't care to visit the waterpark because its so neglected. It wasn't exactly "water weather" at the time, but a few cool slides could have made all the difference. It turns out the there's a carbon copy of just about everything there at Dorney's Wildwater Kingdom, plus a lot of other kick-ass slides. I had a great time at that waterpark.
  6. ^ I know, right? It totally vanished into thin air. Once I found out it was gone, I was all "Oh my GOD! I loved that ride!". I hope the Top Spin goes in its old location, it has a cool 360 dagree view of Vortex all around it.
  7. ^Oh yeah, I forgot. Well, it will currently be the only SF park with 3 woodies, and I still think that's an achievemnt.
  8. Woah! Awsome coaster! So happy to see more GCIs in the future. They're such great rides, as long as they have MFs. Not loving the name, but since he's dead, we at least don't have to worrry about him being a sellout. I find it strange that this park is getting a third woodie. It's going to be the only SF park in history to have 3, so I guess that's an achievement. Still, it seems that some kind of a steel coaster would have made more sense, but who cares! it just looks great! Screw Boss! I feel like the park should be getting a B&M or Intiman multi-looper or something, but on the other hand, this coaster will bring the park independecne from any other park in the chain--more than Its ever had. Six Flags really deserves credit for being origonal.
  9. Yet I don't read you b*tching about Disney's multiple Space Mountains, Splash Mountains, Big Thunder Mountain Railroads, Star Tours, It's a Small World, Twilight Zone Tower of Terror, Soarin' Over California, Jungle Cruises, Honey I Shrunk the Audience, Buzz Lightyear's Astroblasters, Toy Story Mania!, It's Tough to be a Bug and Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh. Seems like only Six Flags gets the flack for building clones. And a clone is a clone. Don't be trying to push it to say "oh, well, but it's Disney." Take a figgin' chill pill. You have sucessfully posted an angry, thoughtless response Between Disneyland and Disneyworld, Space Mountain, Splash Mountain, Thunder Mountain, Small World, TZToT, Jungle Cruize, and Buzz Lightyear are all different rides, but with the same name. Jungle Cruize, Buzz Lightyear, and Small World are similar to an extent, but the coasters and Tower of Terror are totally different. Disneyland's Space Mountain has brande new track and trains, while Disneyworld's Space Mountain is basically the duel-sidded Matterhorn completely indoors. The Thunder Mountains has similar landscapes, but Disneyworlds is also dueling, and all 3 of their layouts are different. The Splash Mountains aren't even built by the same company, and the TZToT are two different kinds of rides! I haven't been on Toy Story Mania, but for all you know, they could be different as well. HIStA, Soarin', and Star Tours are basically flat rides (simulators), with the same theme. Asking for these rides to be different is asking for something pointless and dumb. Each and every one of these clones are nicely (and in some cases, beautifuly) themed, and most of SFMM's clones are themed dingily and sparingly. You have absolutely no argument.
  10. For thise of you who think Cedar Point is getting Texas Twister, you are sadly mistaken. Everyone at the New Ride For Great America Next Year is posative that Texas Twister will rise at PGA.
  11. Popeye's Bilge Rat Barges! Totally fun an wet! Grizzly River Rampage was pretty good, but Rip Roaring Rapids at PGA always got me soaked!
  12. ^ I would not be suprized. Perfect sized ex-Zonga location + Shapiro's unorigonality + Tony Hawk is a moneywhore + Need a family coaster = Tony hwak's Big Spin @ SFDK. If the location is in the "Sky" section of the park, then at least the area will make sense--since skateboarders are all about getting big air and whatnot.
  13. Clones in general are not a problem, but SF relies on them a little too much. It should be every park's aspiration to build something unique, or at least, a less-common clone.
  14. They lost some capacity on this one. This one only has 6 seats per car, and the new restraints look unnecessarily large. Other than that, this ride looks great! Its a great idea, but capacity seems way low. Dueling halfpipes would be a good idea.
  15. The closest CF to GA is Knott's. CF needs something to compete with SFDK.
  16. I'm not from Tennessee, I just live here. Quite literaly, everyone who lives here misses Opryland. I never got a chance to go; I was in kindergraden when it closed!
  17. ^ I don't mind clones, as long as its good ride. The way I see it, SPREAD THE GOODNESS!!! The only clone I'm not fond of is the SLC. Most, if not all, other ride and coaster clones are good enough to be cloned in the first place. I like Boomerangs(to an extent), and I love Batmans and popular flat rides.
  18. ^ I couldn't belive that Mr. 6 got his own coaster, even if it was only his for 2 years. Shapiro was smart to outlaw him!
  19. Wow. Looks like you had a sub-par time! It seems so strange that they would swich from admission to a ticket system. The park seems to big for that.
  20. SFEG seems to have a very nice customer service set-up. Good for them! Also, why is the ride called Sidewinder if it doesn't even turn? It should be called the "Nonwinder".
  21. Beech Bend: Kentucky Rumbler Kentucky Kingdom: Chang Dollywood: Mystery Mine and Thunderhead are about equal.
  22. Jeez, not enough people are saying Six Flags Magic Mountain"! I need to clone myself.
  23. This whole thing is just wierd. Batman & Robin with the humps is officialy the rarest credit in America. Especially for which ever side operated the least. How many months total did the ride operate with the humps? Like, two?
  24. Things were looking up in 2001. Psycho Mouse had just opened, Stealth and Greased Lighting were still in place. Such a good year. The've been going down hill ever since, with the exception of the addition of the Flyers. I'm totally confident in CF, though.
