^ Have you noticed the HUGE concrete slab in the floor? That is the station. Launching would be impossible on a 4D train. S&S may have stripped it down and made it slightly lighter but it would be such a power drain to launch a 20 tonne train up to the top of that raven turn. An inverted lift might work.. But the footers leading into the station are directly into the path of the middle of it. That isn't what inverted footers look like. The ones around the station might be for stairs... But the supersized footers at the beginning of the lift don't look like Inverted supports really. -
Post some of your other drawings. They really are outstanding. The Lion King was an amazing film and one of the best from my childhood. A ride like this would be fantastic! I just downloaded the sountrack you provided and wow! It works so well. Grr I want this ride to be real now!!! I really hope you get a career stuff in this your fantastic! Why do you support President Bush?
Ed replied to smells_like_team_disney's topic in Random, Random, Random
Nah, I dont think so. I think he is trying to start the thing that James Adams did. Its the spread of democracy(?) to our allies in other countries. Iraq/Afganistan was our allie for years. How many families have had relatives and loved ones killed in Iraq? 1000's have. I'd say that's a major issue. There's also the fact this war has cost hundreds of millions of dollars, of the tax-payers money. You've paid for the bombs that were dropped on Bagdhad which killed hundreds of innocent civilians. George Bush is as bad as any of dictator for forcing democracy on countries. You can't tell an entire nation how they should be run. A push in the right direction is ok but The USA government has over-stepped that line completely. -

To have a fair topic I think the people who dislike him should be able to post. So.. George Bush is currently the worlds biggest threat. He seems to think that just going and invading countries is the answer to all our problems. We had terrorism WAY before 9/11. It's sad to think it took what happened on that day to make people wake up and smell the coffee. The "enemies" of George Bush are anyone who doesn't agree with him basically. Countries like Iraq weren't a huge threat to the Usa. Except for the "weapons of mass destruction" claim.. And we all know what happened there. Basically if he was in power for a good few more years you can bet almost all of the middle-eastern countries would have American Occupancy. There would be some hair-brained scheme to wipe out terrorism. Where as the program started in Afghanistan they STILL haven't caught Osama Bin Laden which I think shows how much good the violence has done. He should've spent more time on improving home security and not spending millions of pounds shipping out soldiers and losing innocent lives. I really will be glad to see the back of George Bush. He is an incomptent ninny who can't string a sentance together to save his life. 9/11 cost enough lives. More innocent people should not have to suffer the same fate when George Bush carpet bombs cities and get's annoyed when people retaliate... You just killed a few thousand civilians with "Shock & Awe" wonder why they're annoyed... I'm not sorry if my views offend anyone really. Seeing the Usa from outside of the enormous patriotism it's clear to me not only is your president a murderer he is also killing the planet. Trying to save your economy by polluting the planet with CO2? Nice. -
Can anyone clear this Thorpe Park Question up?
Ed replied to Damien666's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Slammer was always going be called Slammer. Libra just sounds like a cool concept because the symbol is the scales of justice. Don't trust that website... Having been on the horrible ride (it hurts and i'm actually afraid of falling out of the restraints) I can tell you it isn't outside X:\WTF's entrance for a start.. -
Why not. Haha aww the Chavs will probably have a gang war in Mosside so they can kill themselves too... It's the emo's that don't have the guts to slit their throats that need sorting out! I think that means you have to kill everyone who goes to Rock Kitchen Get yourself in chat girl!

^ Resident Evil? Lou, take a few guns into Manchester and shoot all the zombies. (emo's). I'll be the director and Non-German Tom can star as the helpless security guard who always dies at the beginning of films.

Shamelessly taken from Mark I LOVE this website. I finally managed to complete the Liom King the other day. Beating Scar was hard

Maybe it commited suicide? Must be a hard life being a fish. The whole of SFNO has just got to totally wrecked. It's sad to see a park go to waste but these thigns happen. Rest in piece Fishy. -
The worst part of that picture is the fact Mr Six seems to be enjoying himself...

haha! The lift won't be inverted. Follow the footers at the bottom of the raven turn. They go in a perfect straight line down the lift hill. -
"Dude! Where's my Passport?!" DVD!
Ed replied to robbalvey's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
The style of video is very different from other ones i've seen but I think the Blackpool segment is fantastic. It really gives you a feel of the atmosphere inside the park and the plain wierd rides you can find there. -
A few things about UK theme parks
Ed replied to Fretless's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Wow you know nothing... Chessington are very accomodating to adults. I've never been told we couldn't go on a ride. Except the Funhouse but we did have 50 or so people aged around 15+.. All the B&M rides in the UK have "Wideboy" seats which feature 2 seatbelts. Other rides like Collosus and the rides at BPB do not have them. I think you're being a bit insulting tbo. Not all Americans are fat. The proportion is blown way out by the media. -

^ Any update is welcome whenver it comes. Actually having someone in Japan who can get to these parks to get pictures and updates is awesome! -
I don't dislike the ride because it's a smaller version of the Kingda Ka.. (It isn't btw cause it doesn't have a 270degree spiral) It's the fact Thorpe could've got a much better ride in the space that they have. Something unique and exciting that really would catch my eye.. Instead they go for the easy option and plonk in Stealth. One of the worst Name to Theme connections ever.
-
This ride is wasting valuable space at Thorpe Park. The layout is just simply crap, the name is simply crap and has nothing to do with the Amity Cove theme. Tussauds have managed to pull another Rita... I didn't think it was possible.

INSANE DROP TOWER ACCIDENT VIDEO!
Ed replied to socalMAN123's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
It was at a Japanese fair. The ride had got stuck and and power was still on (I think) when the cherrypickers went up. As they were in the process of going to unlock the restraints the gondola thingy because unstuck and slid down tipping the bucket thing over... Why they weren't wearing safety belts incase they fell was beyond me though. I mean I thought Japan was very safety conscious. -
That's not all she sticks in there..... Lol!!
-
Ouchness. I burnt my tounge on hot chocolate once. Horrible experience. It hurt for a week and it tingled all the time.. Hope it does cause you too much pain.
-
Ok I think this is the right one. The inverter is the only ride in the park btw. The rest is theming. Well theres a stem train.. Candyland.zip
