Anyone is allowed an opinion. Don't be a knob. -
Air doesn't spend too much time on it's back... It's the only really forceful bit that the whole train experiences and flipping onto your back is quite a thrill I think! Plus you can't see where you're going and it's cool! A few people I know from school went yesterday and they spotted Tom cause we were i nthe same school for a few years.

Flamingo Land Discussion Thread
Ed replied to ParkTrips's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Woo. Free ERT on Kumali this saturday. And I even got a £5 discount on getting in. (Thanks Flamingoland!) This ride looks really cool, and i've been ordered to quote "as smooth as a baby's bottom" on video When it's all completed the ride should be ace! Just a shame the weather has been appauling in the UK since... October? I erally wish it would warm up! 10 degrees in April is a joke. -
Photo TR: Julie rides Goliath (SFoG)
Ed replied to USRoadTripper's topic in Photo Trip Report Archive
It's good to see Wonder Woman wasn't sporting a Camel Toe. I really like Goliath's station! It looks really modern and open. -
The Black Hole won't be going anywhere. It needs some very costly repairs to bring it up to new Health & Safety regulations in the Uk. Alton + Tussauds decided it was not worth it.

Attempting to read some Japanese sites I came across this: http://blogs.yahoo.co.jp/come_back_steel_dragon I'm not sure who is speaking in which line but someone phoned up Nagashima Spa Land to ask about the ride. And the park where it talks about August makes me think that they might be trying to get the ride re-opened. It would explain the talk about the "National Traffic Ministry", who presumably are the people who will decide. There's also something about the approval of the country. Now I doubt there will be a vote in all of Japan as to whether the ride opens, but it's probably saying it needs the approval from someone. It's very wierd. It all comes down to the "National Traffic Ministry" (Got to be a bad translation that). After going through a few more thing it appears that "someone" wants something added to the wheels as a safeguard to future derailments.. Then again it's all messy these translations. On a strange little forum there appears to be talk of a petition going around Japanese Coaster Enthusiasts to re-open Steel Dragon 2000 after this 2 1/2 year inactivity. A really do hope this ride opens again. It looks so much fun, and is probably quite nerve racking after being pulled up the chain lifts for so long! (On a side note, on this Japanese forum they were talking about Six Flags Magic Mountain and Tatsu... )

Funniest rider noises?...
Ed replied to Movieguy's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Watching the tv shows where people are like... "ohhhh yehh! feel the g's". That makes me chuckle because they sound quite.. Well sad. I was going up Spinball Whizzers lifthill once, and for some reason (it shouldn't happen) the car started spinning before we got to the top, and the this person behind me said "I just poked myself in the eye" Very loudly. Not so much a scream but it had me laughing until I got off the ride. -
I hope the thing gets torn down. It's so unbelievably crap!

La station is emerging. Quite close to the ground before the lift aswell! It also appears that the Full-Full element has been completed. http://www.fujikyu.co.jp/fuji-q/information/whatsnew_index.html -

No Limits 2
Ed replied to Dailey Enterprizes's topic in Roller Coaster Games, Models, and Other Randomness
Elementary and Auto-Heartline are for people too afraid of criticism. No limits should be about your work, not a program that does it for you. I do hope that whenever "No Limits 2" or future installments come out they do bring out more coaster types. But they should continue to improve, for example adding magnetic brakes to rides. -
Best Arrow Suspended Coaster
Ed replied to HCOSurfer90's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I miss the old Vampire trains. They worked so well with the theme. Stupid Vekoma seats... You have to keep your shoes on now incase you smack into a tree half-way round, (they do get very close) -
http://www.ridetrade.com/r_products_towers.htm I'm pretty sure about this.
-
There won't be a ride on the side of the tower. What I meant was that the spike at the top of the tower will have that combination of rides on it. A 500ft drop off the side would claim the record for tallest drop ride in the world. And they aren't marketing that. You can see the spike here:
-
I reckon this will be at the top of the tower: The seesaw ride will probably an an X-scream model. (Who makes them?)
