Haha don't let the pics fool you, they're right on the edge of the massive suburban shopping hell of the eastside aka Mentor. I drive by that Marathon all the time on the way to work at Great Lakes mall. Cleveland is crazy, you go from complete ghetto, to suburbs and places like kirtland, to redneck country, to amish country, all in like a 30 mile radius. anyway, I thought that was cool that I saw Kirtland on here. I live near there and go to lakeland haha

Top Thrill Dragster
Nick-Mac replied to Twister II's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I don't see how anyone can find Dragster's launch "tame", the ride is an all out adrenaline rush that pushes current ride technology to the limit. As for being nervous to ride, no. I was excited because this was most insane ride I had ever seen, I just remember being really pumped up and going crazy when it was over, even if it was short, I didn't and still don't care. -
Vekoma have designed a new launched coaster
Nick-Mac replied to martinb's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
^^^^ Maybe I'm wrong, but that dosen't look very themed to me. RnRC is comlpetely enclosed with several theming elements throughout the ride. Unless Im wrong , is there some sort of elaborate enclosed station? other than that, the ride looks very "un-themed" -
Vekoma have designed a new launched coaster
Nick-Mac replied to martinb's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Looks like RnRC with more inversions and without the goofy guitar building. Who cares if RnRC is smooth, take away the theming (building, on-board music, preshow, etc) and the ride is mediocre. I don't see any park ordering a launch coaster from Vekoma (unless it's Disney, but they would they theme it beyond comprehension) -
I've stayed at all the CP resorts and the Lighthouse Point cottages were by far the best. Although Breakers is more convienently located and much cheaper, the cottages have the lake view decks, seperate rooms, grill, etc. Sandcastle was nice, but it is a very long walk to the nearest park entrance. I stayed at the Holidome as well, and is probably the best off-point stay, considering price and things to do there.

Same thing happened to me, I cleaned mine with a tutorial i found, just google "ps2 repair" or "ps2 disc read error". You have to take it apart somewhat It does void the warranty if you do it though

Rocket Coasters
Nick-Mac replied to verticalzero's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I remember someone having a drawing of a rocket on the current dragster site when the ride was still speculation. The tophat veered the left onto MF island and had a coaster layout with a bunch of hills and stuff. I think CP was going for pure height and speed, it would have cost a crazy amount of $$$ to extend it like that, they would have had to make it a smaller tophat. So any rockets with extended layouts won't be that tall or fast (i mean strata-coaster/100+MPH) If that did happen, a major investment it would have to be since it was like 20-25 mil for just the basic launch, tophat, and brakes. I know Kingda ka was 25 mil., that was with just one extra hill, -
Hahaa, dead hippie.. Kent State is the college im going to in the fall How exactly is Cleveland a dump? Just because people who move to the area are not used to the weather and it's a shock to them. Yes, the weather is not very pleasant in the winter, but that dosen't qualify the area as a dump. As far as the people, I don't know quite what you mean by that, except for all the senior citizen geezers that make my job at office max unenjoyable sometimes, don't get me started (sir, where are your typewriters?) The people in new mexico aren't rude or anything, just very different than what im used to. But I would'nt judge them as a whole. I actually know a person who lived in Oregon most of his life and if I had to judge everyone by him, then I would say I hate the people of Oregon. The point is, why so much hate for C-Town

Cleveland traffic can be pretty bad, but probably not comparable to LA or anything. When we drove through the Gary, IN and Chicago area, it was crazy, that was the worst i've seen, we were stuck for a long time with people just merging. The only thing about New Mexico, traffic gets bad when they is any kind of rain, snow, ice, anything. It's ridiculous the way people drive when there is a half an inch of snow or if there is any rain on the roads. I've never seen anything like it before. I know Albuquerque traffic is a very big problem, not sure why.

The Official "Animal Crossing: Wild World" Thread!

as far as Geauga Lake, anytime is pretty much good, it's walk-on city. The waterpark, wildwater kingdom is on the old wild life/sea world/south side across the lake and did get very busy on hot days last year. The waterpark didnt open until late june last year, so i would guess any week day thats not in the 90's.. it all depends. That's even if you care about tne waterpark, which is very nice and brand new (only blizzard beach ranks higher IMO, but i havent been to too many waterparks). We always went early at 11 when we went because it deserted until at least noon, so we could play bball at the coral cove area, hit the lazy river, marathon the slides. anyway, the park has alot to do if you've never been there and is improving greatly each year since six flags left. The park also has cheap admission (25 bucks) and season passes can be used at CP too if you pay like $50 extra. a combo pass is def worth it. hope that helps

Favorite ride queue lines
Nick-Mac replied to tsmcdon's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
At Cedar Point, MF's queue is boring but gets 10 times better when they get the djs goin, Same for Raptor and Magnum. Dragster's queue just sucks, the wooden fence is just retarded, and the little "fact" signs should be destroyed immediately. Dueling Dragons is nice but it just too much work to go through, it's like going hiking, But I don't mind. I would like to see it all filled  Best Queue: Any at WDW or USF - Soarin at Epcot is very niice Worst Queue: Dragster at Cp and Thunderhawk at Geauga Lake due to the giant bees -
Has a waterslide ever scared you?
Nick-Mac replied to Mind Eraser's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
wow, now i really want to go on the looping waterslide. I saw a picture of it in a book a awhile ago. I love being truly afraid. It's hard for that to happen to me now. The first year Millennium Force opened, i was actually scared, but i was like 12, and that was the greatest single ride ever. I'll admit, When I was standing at the top of summit plummit. I was a little . But it was the best waterslide on earth and I wish I could ride it everyday. Yeah, the "almost vertical" slide at Geauga lake was one of the Stingray Wetslides. Sadly, they are no more; but those slides hurt like . Hurricane Mountain aka Thunder Falls at the new WWK has some crazy twisted speed slides and some decent tube slides.
