1. What are your initial thoughts? At first, my stomach dropped when I read this. But after reading that everything which is already in place will remain the same, I think it's a great idea. 2. Can you think of anything else we could be offering? Like others have said, some type of news letter or magazine. Honestly, the only reason that I pay for an ACE membership is to get the news letters and magazines. 3. Is this something that interests you? This definitely interests me. 4. Why would you NOT be interested in this? It's not that I would "NOT" be interested, it's that I'd be torn on whether I should keep paying for my ACE membership just to receive the publications, or if I'd be willing to sacrifice the publications for a TPR membership (even though I like TPR WAY better than ACE!), cause I wouldn't want to be paying for both at the same time. 5. Any additional feedback you can give us based on the information you see here. While I know that the $40 fee including the $15 TPR store credit benefits TPR, I think that leaving off the $15 TPR store credit and just charging $25 for the membership alone may sound more appealing to some people. Maybe you could do two membership types. -Type 1 could be $30 with no TPR store perks. -Type 2 could be $40 with the $15 store credit. I know the second is exactly the same as you mentioned, but throwing in the first option sounds better for people that don't buy TPR merch, as well as sounding better for people who buy merch, as it sounds like they would be getting a $5 bonus for signing up for the Type 2 membership. I'd also just like to say that if you ever decide to do any type of publications, whether it be newsletters or magazine style stuff, that I'd be more than willing to help out with whatever I can. -Brian

Elissa's Random Thought of the Day!
STR8FXXXINEDGE replied to SharkTums's topic in Random, Random, Random
The problem is everything that you have stated is 100% opposite right now. Crappy unhealthy food is cheap to buy and Healthy food that everyone SHOULD be eating is expensive. Like you said though, if Whopper's end up being $12, maybe people will stop buying them. My fear though, is when a Whopper cost $12, is a healthier option now gonna cost $20? It's a bunch of crap. To me, it's the same thing as companies charging a crap ton for medical supplies, tools and products that handicap people NEED. You wanna charge a crap ton for something? Charge people a lot for luxury items, and keep the necessities of life that people need to survive affordable for everyone. P.S. I'm glad the guy that won this season's Biggest Loser, won. I thought he deserved it and he seemed genuinely appreciative. -
How did you end up here???
STR8FXXXINEDGE replied to robbalvey's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I was always searching for new coaster websites. I stumbled upon TPR sometime back in 2005. I can't remember correctly, but I think it was when the site was pretty new, if not brand new. I ended up joining in February of 2006, but lurked in the background for a LONG time. I started lightly posting within the past few years. I was always envious of the lucky people on the TPR trips, so I decided that I would come out of the woodwork and participate. Now, I am FINALLY going on a TPR trip in 2010. I can not wait! Thanks Robb & Elissa for running this amazing website! -
Cedar Point (CP) Discussion Thread

I haven't seen anything mentioned about this yet, and if it has, I'm sorry. Anyway, I found this kind of interesting. Tony & Tyler posted a new Blog on the CP website that said Demon Drop will now be going to Dorney Park and not Knott's Berry Farm as was originally planned. Here's a link to the blog which also has a bit more info on other projects as well. http://www.cedarpoint.com/public/fun/blog/index.cfm -
While we're on the subject of Moe's and Chipotle(my favorite),has anyone had Panchero's Mexican Grill,I got one opening about 5 minutes from my house and from the website it appears to be another Moe's,Qdoba,Chipotle clone, just wondering if it's good. Panchero's is awesome! We had Panchero's here in Michigan before we had Chipotle, Moe's, and Qdoba, so Panchero's is all I used to eat. I think Qdoba is now my favorite out of the 4, though. I may be biased considering there's one like 5 miles down the road. To me Moe's seems real bland. I think Qdoba is now my favorite just cause I love their Queso. Chicken Queso Burrito... Mmm! Now, back to the TR. Manta looks so damn good! I'm a sucker for theming and atmosphere.

All 3 look great, but the scarecrow is definitely my favorite so far as well. You're doing an awesome job. I'm excited to see the end result! -

These are such amazing updates! I have always wanted to be able to attend IAPPA. Someday... someday..... That video was hilarious, Robb! It blows my mind how professional and organized TPR is; yet you guys are so relaxed and are able to have a ton of fun at the same time. Thanks a bunch for doing these updates Robb & Elissa. Congrats to Hanno too for having his photos all over IAAPA. That's so awesome. I can NOT wait for the 2010 Europe trip so I can experience some of the fun for myself.

What a beautiful TR! Thanks a lot for sharing these. I keep going back through the photos and looking over them multiple times, cause it's just that awesome. -
What a great update! Looks like everyone had a blast. I really wish that I could have made it over there for that visit. Big Mike, you were the first and only person that I have met from TPR. This will soon change when I go on the 2010 Europe trip, which I was bummed about when you told me that you wouldn't be attending it.
