Thanks so much for all your help. It feels so strange asking for info for my home country. At the moment it looks like the trip will be Chessington Thorpe Park Oakwood Alon towers Blackpool Flamingoland In that order. Wirth a few days inbetween to see family in UK. Does that sound like a good plan? -

OK, I was planning on doing a Europe trip this summer but it seems I will need to go to the UK to see family so I am after some tips for a UK trip. Which parks to hit? When they will be quietest? etc. I will be picking my son up at Heathrow on the 18th July and spending about 10 days in UK. We have relatives in Swansea so plan to hit Oakwood and relatives near Scarborough so plan to hit Flamingo Land. I feel a little silly asking this as I am from the UK but it is several years since I have been so any tips would be gratefully received. thanks

Favorite Word in the Urban Dictionary!
dubaidave replied to coasterdude5's topic in Random, Random, Random
Has anyone seen the word of the day today? Urban Word of the Day February 26, 2006 Credit Whore Credit Whore (CW) is someone that does something nice just so they can bring it to everyone's attention and get credit for it. Credit Whore is someone who puts money in tip jar and then shouts, "I just put a dollar in the tip jar". 1 definition I think we need to add to that a bit. -

Germany, July and the World Cup
dubaidave posted a topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I am planning on visiting germany the second week in July to hit some parks. This is just after the world cup finishes so I was wondering if anyone had any idea how busy Germany will be? Do people usually hang around after the World cup or go straight home? Is this a busy or quite time in Germany anyway? -

Thanks Soren, When I went to DLP last time they were almost ready to open Space mountain so there should be plenty moe stuff to see there now. am hoping that Robb gets around to posting his Europe Planning guide before I go. -
The restraints were a bit of a pain. I once went with my eight year old son, He loved it by the way, and as the restraints came down he slid really low in his seat. Therefore the restraints pinned him to the seat.

Woa, Great to see these pictures. I went to that park about 2 years ago but my camera was overexposing everthing. I really enjoyed it. thanks again

^ Yeah it is true. You get the choice of Helicopter or rolls royce transfer from the airport. they have only recently re started the helicopter transfers because the shape and positioning of the helipad made i virtually impossible to land on it! I took my parents there for a look round last week and will get some of the pics posted as soon as i get some free time.

Ooh, Great Thread. I am planning a similar trip in July and would like to include Germany as well. Microsoft Autoroute seems to be invalubal as it has all the locations of the parks my plan is to take autoroute on a laptop and sync my handheld GPS to it. I was also wondering if these parks are accesseble by rail? Would like to try and avoid hiring a car if poss. Cheers

Ok, Finally, I have re grabbed the signs and atempted to improve the quality. See if these are any better. cheers

The ride at Wonderland is Hammerhead from Knottts.

I DO believe JTCOT IS the best ride I have been on. I have not been to Disneland so Can not comment on their version of Indy. Journey wins, for me, hand down over test track. The themeing is better and the whole ride experience ids much more imersive and exciting. The airtime out of the volcano is fantastic. I rode it 10 times in a ow when I was there and I was not even vaugley bored with it.

No probs, Thanks for taking the time.
