I figured I needed both a new desktop and to clean up my desktop, so I did so... Oh, btw...I'm still in the process of photoshopping out the people...so that would explain the random "legs" hidden everywhere!

SoCal Park Photo TR

Nice photo PTR! Although I'm a little bit concerned as to your motives for riding the Omnibus. Robb, Elissa, Mike, and I went in there for the HHN press event, as well as I went to my prom in there. Not that many pictures of the interior, but there are photos from inside of there, here: http://www.themeparkreview.com/hhn-hollywood2006/hhn-hollywood1.htm -Jahan "I went to my prom for the Terminator show" Makanvand -
A few words, on... The X crew: I'm going to be honest--they were moving way more quickly to check restraints than I have ever see the X or Tatsu--or any crew at SFMM move before. And even then, they were giving more attention to safety than I have ever seen before (I even had two people attend to me, to make sure my restraint was fitted just perfectly). It's proof that the crew can move quickly. HOWEVER...despite an extremely obvious effort on their part, the dispatches were still somewhat slow. A part of this is simply the nature of the ride...the time to rotate steats and whatnot takes up a lot of the dispatch time. But a part of this proves that SFMM simply trains their employees how to do the job at hand--be it check restraints, or serve food, or stand at a register--not how to deal with guests. While the X crew was checking restraints very quickly, all it took was one little guest problem, such as a loose article or too-tight restraint, and that was enough to throw off the "rythem" the crew had and slow down the dispatch. In my expirence, just because you can operate a ride and check restraints quickly doesn't mean you're going to get a quick disptach. You need to learn how to compensate for the different situations that will arise in normal operation--some of this will come with expirence. I understand the crew is essentially new and a bit rusty and it time, they will get it down, somewhat. Although, this is SFMM...they cant really keep a crew together long enough to fully attain this. Either way, there is defintely a major room for improvement along the lines of training. And as long as things are allowed to persist the way they do in the operations office, that wont ever change. Smoothness: Dream on. The ride has ALWAYS been tempermental. You can have from a "decent" to a "butt-rapingly painful" ride all on the same train back to back, depending on what seat you're sitting in! So if you had a bad last expirence, get a good seat this time, and the ride is "decent", you might be surprised at how "smooth" the ride is! Truth is, I dont really think there was ANY change, whatsoever. Just my opinions though.

^ I disagree. While you do unlock the different playable "levels", if you will, rather quickly, the game is technically never "beaten" in my eyes. That's the fun behind minigames! You will alway have a "high score" to beat. I can play all day, trying to beat my high scores, especially on levels such as "sudden death" or "super hard". -Jahan -
^ I dont know if you're implying this, but pursuing a college education no longer exemplifies you from the draft. -Jahan

You can see it if you look carefully in the pic. Follow Dan's UnUnibrow, to the right of his nose and in that crack between people, its there. -Jahan EDIT: Dammit! Robb called it first. I fail. -
Thank you all so much! This is awesome, really! -Jahan

Ahh, Reed! Excellent PTR! Funny to see NASA not changed in since I was there in '95! And I have yet to enjoy the expirence on a Disney Cruise....well...any cruise for that matter! Argh! Anyway, lovely photos and you are soooo lucky to be married there! Looks like it'll be perfect! Oh, BTW...Reed with a clown nose--classic! -Jahan p.s. Stacy's styling in that DLR vest...dont think I didn't see it!

Photo TR: Disney's Pirate and Princess Party
arrowfanman replied to Erik Johnson's topic in Photo Trip Report Archive
Hey Erik! Great photos and I loved the video! These events look really fun! I joked last night about them, but really--Disney makes sure that you're treated well for the 5-hours! I already cant wait to get back out there ASAP! Thanks again! -Jahan P.S. BTW....The fireworks choreography that you showed in the video, in that pirates segment---yea, Disneyland was doing that years ago! -
Robin tried to jump me, so I busted some of my ninja-skills on him! Bring it you little Billy Joe Armstrong-posing fart-muncher!

Another thing I'll be interested to see once this ride opens is how it deals with flash photography. When we played "Where's the Fire?!" at Epcot, which uses the prototype technology for this ride, the attendant was very explicit about telling us there was no flash photography. My guess is the light-technology involved in the ride would be sensitive to a flash. Does anyone know if this is the case? And if so, what problem arises when you 'flash' the screens? I know they gave-up on their "no flash photography" rule on POTC, after the redo, after about 30-minutes of operation. It will be interesting to see how this ride plays out. -Jahan

^ The frankness of it is both confusing and welcomed! Anyway, that was my thoughts as well...sure, they're closed. But it could be a while before we see them come down. And when the do come down, I'm almost certain that it will be a "deconstruction" rather than a demolition. Remember how they had all the "spare" wood layed out behind Psyclone in my last update? Well, I wouldn't be suprised if that's there so they can easily remove and organize different size woods, for resale. Elissa...how do you like the idea of "Psyclone Hampster Bedding"?! -Jahan

^ Sorry! I made my trip, but I'm going to be honest...my picture's aren't really that informative. Just a ton of pictures of Psyclone and Flashback not working! Maybe I'll put them together soon, but I've just been busy the past two days. If all else fails, I'll update my update this weekend and shoot for a cumulative report. Sorry to dissapoint! -Jahan
