  1. This has the potential to be the best thread ever.
  2. I work at the Hotel several time a month. I could swing by every now and then and get pics too. But I'm lazy, so don't count on it.
  3. Is Coke trying a new formula again? Wasn't that an epic fail for them back in the late 80's early 90's? People thought they did it to make it taste more like Pepsi.
  4. ^Mabey in your reality it won't. But my brain doesn't work like most people's brains. Most of the time my brain doesn't work at all.
  5. ^^^Yeah! See! Vines n' sh!t! It also looks as if you would dive through some sort of thicket as well. That would be cool!
  6. For some reason, I recall the bridge being engulfed in overgrown vines. Like they were trying to crush the whole bridge.
  7. QFT! I find every other woodie pales in comparison. Guy "Have to ride Balder & T-express!" Koepp
  8. ^IMHO if you were to take out the steel platform beneath the two inside seats, you'd just have a staggered floorless coaster configuration. Not that I'm complaining or anything, but the cars seem a lot less wingy than I thought they would be.
  9. ^I am quite certain, that at some point in my life, I will, in fact, make a mistake about this.
  10. Awesome pictures Chuck! I was so sad I missed you all on Saturday. I looks like you and tha crew had a great time. Well, until Cameron found out he was dead. That will put a damper on a great time. I remember the first time I found out I was dead. I cried. Good thing I got better. Now it's old hat. It happens 2 or 3 times a year. Wild Eagle rocks! It's a perfect fit for the park. Glad you enjoyed it.
  11. I can see both sides of the argument. I used to think the way you did when I was in college, had huge amounts of free time to visit parks, and mostly visited parks within a day's drive. However, now that I have a job with limited vacation time and have started visiting farther away parks, I have seen how having a skip-the-line system makes the park much more accessible for those coming from out of town. Day visitors who live nearby can forgo the pass, since any rides they don't get on can wait a few months or until the following year. However, when you're coming from out of town and have just spent $600 on airfare for two people, $150 on a hotel, $150 on a rental car, and $100 on park admission, spending an extra $100 to make sure that you actually get on every ride is definitely worth it. Especially when you consider that it may be years before you return to that park, if ever. When I visited Magic Mountain last summer and got the Flash Pass, most of the people I talked to in the FP lines were international visitors or Americans on once-in-a-lifetime trips to California. You really think that those people have no business in an amusement park? These days there is no way I would plan a trip to a far away park unless I was going to an event with ERT, some sort of skip-the-line system was offered, or I knew that I wouldn't have any trouble experiencing everything I wanted to in the time I had allotted. Despite generally being a huge cheapskate, I will definitely spring for the Fast Track Pass when I fly down for the Skyrush opening. I am 100% in agreement with this statement.
  12. So is the Avengers film being released by Disney? Personally, I feel this is a bit too Six Flags for Disney. It worked for TRON, cause you could kinda see futuristic monorails in a TRON world, but the Avengers? As much as I am in anticipation of this film, and as top notch as I think Disney will do the wrap, it still reeks of the advert wraps that appear at much lesser parks.
  13. What a beautiful coaster and beautiful que as well. As is always the case, the pictures are amazing Hanno.
  14. Awesome TR guys! This monster looks beautiful. I love all the close calls with the in line roll threading the whole ride for a return to the station.
  15. I remember there being cracks in the Timberliner's fiberglass outer shells? Was this the only reason that they were never used, or was there more?
  16. Yay! Parks are opening! Spring has finally sprung. Great pics Chuck. I'm hoping to get over there this year with the family to enjoy the park.
  17. This TR is filled with all types of awesomeness! Alana & I went on a Canival Cruise about 10 years ago. I now remember why we don't sail with them anymore. However, I would definitely change my tune to join in on one of these Klassy Kruises. The comedy factor alone is worth the ticket!
  18. ^Thank you for doing that. Cause nobody here gets sarcasm.
  19. Wow! Those are very realistic animatronics.
  20. Didn't the Great American Revolution at Magic Mountain open with 5 trains? I still remember waiting over 4 hours to ride it on opening weekend.
  21. ^Yeah, I read that. It implies that there will be some sort of "thing" that happens in there. I wonder if that break will briefly hold the train over the edge before letting it go. That would be interesting. Plus, it would have a great pop of ejector air for those in the back seat.
