Wait untill this time next year. Knott's most likely will announce something big to counter "Tatsu". That way they can avoid all the 6FMM hype and not have to over compensate for advertising dollars to promote it. It seems that KBF and MM skip years to release a major attraction so they don't have to compete directly. I would love to speculate and guess that Knott's could counter with a Vertical Drop Coaster in 07. They then could get B&M to sign a contract to not allow another one to be built within so many miles for a number of years. Kinda like BGT did. They could build it over their rapids ride and have it do a splashdown soaking the rafts. That would be cool! Guy "VDrop Coaster at Knott's in 07. There I said it!" Koepp

Yes... I remember the Black and White days. I think it was just after people started moving at 24 frames per second. It must have taken people for ever to do stuff at 18 frames per second. Guy " What they could have done with those extra 6 frames is sad." Koepp

Jeepers, this was a long time ago. I don't even think people saw things in color, cause my memories of this day are beautifully engrained in glorious black and white. I was fortunate to ride this coaster May 10th, 1976 it's 2nd day of operation. It was my first inversion coaster. Knott's had the Corkscrew already but it was 2 hours further south, and my parents had the belief that if we were heading down there we may as well go to Disneyland insted. Anyway, I remember waiting only one hour to ride it and the line being all the way down by the fountain. Real fast dispatch times. I love this ride for sentimental reasons. Because of it I decieded to have my 10th birthday party at Magic Mountain. Also because of it we lost Rex and Royce untill the park closed. R&R were the stupid twins that my father made me invite cause' their father was my dads captain. In a panic, my father waited by the main gate untill the park closed for them. Ahhh... Good Times. I can't get over how spectacular this park looks at sunset and after dark. They shoud have two opening times. From 9A till 3P, then re-open 1hr before sunset untill 10P. Real boreing. I set up at 6 this morning and have done nothing since 9. Just your standard Rear screen projection with some multi plane projection to give it a 3Dimensional feel. Kids stuff. That's freaking hy-sterical. We used to have a great Drag Show/Male Review/Drag Club here in LA. It was called the "Queen Mary" on Ventura Blvd. just south of Coldwater Cyn. It was the shiznet. My wife and I used to go about twice a month when were young and had no Chilluns. Sorry, I ramble. What I was getting at is that he/she would have been great as a guest comic for that show.
