I almost didn't renew last year. When they refunded my unused 2021 passes I went ahead. Now 2022 looks to be my last. We've only made it once this year (one trip, several days). Hoping for a Nov/Dec trip. Can't see 3 gold pass just so we have the option to go Thanksgiving-New Years'. That's one of the most likely times for us to go. -
Like what? You don't think you would close the harness fully? I would 100% ride it exactly the same as it was. I know how far such restraints need to be down to be safe. The only thing wrong with the ride was a misadjusted sensor that let an obviously insecure restraint dispatch. And we still don't know who made that adjustment and why it was allowed.

Or even care if they did notice. One plus might be new/unique names for the rides instead of 4-5 different rides (not the clones) with the same name. -

Well, I have a layer of clothing between me and the seats/restraints (I don't wear shorts either). I've yet to sit down and feel damp from the seats/restraints. Still that'd be a few minutes of contact vs prolonged contact all day. Anyway, all you need is a $10 watch that runs for years without charging or changing the battery. I never understood relying on a fickle device like a phone that is bulky, limited charge capacity, and easily broken. I hit a theme park/concert with just my pass, debit card, and car key/fob (except when I had a vehicle with a keypad). Same as I've done for 35 years (well it was cash instead of a card way back). It'd really suck to loose/damage an expensive phone. For the same reason I don't wear my nice watches to a park either. I'd hate to crack the crystal and/or get water in one. So I keep a cheap digital watch for activities where damage is likely. Nor my good sunglasses, again just cheap stuff. I didn't even carry my zippo to a park, just a cheap disposable. -

I wouldn't wear a random used watch on my sweaty arm for hours. And I wouldn't trust the kids at SF to properly clean and disinfect them. -

See comments about what a pain the phone is. If for some reason you don't have a watch, get one for $5-10. I really wouldn't want to strap some unknown device to my wrist all day. -

I don't think the guy in charge is the right one to for it. As for patience, I'll spend my money elsewhere until I see changes to make me believe it's worth the price. It was marginally worth it in 2019. It's not even close today, even with the current sale and the return of the meal plan. -

Not directly or immediately. But a nice looking park with a good feel will keep people coming back. And many that quit going because it was run down will hear about the changes and comeback, at least once to see what has changed. -

So I see slightly lower prices at SFoG now for the sale through Labor Day. Back to Memberships, at least in the name... Gold, Platinum, and Diamond back in the naming too. $40 more for Platinum over Gold (Gold is single park) to get 15% (vs 10%) discount and all parks. Still a big increase over the previous Gold Plus pass. $80 single park season pass back (says through 4 Sep 2023), parking pass is an extra $30 (at least reasonable). But no good reason to pick that over the $5 more Gold pass that includes 1 fast pass and 10% discount on food & merch. And $135 vs $80 for meal plan... I guess if you go 5+ times it works. (Or have food prices increases more than I think? (I haven't seen 2022 prices) Still a lot, especially when buying for 3+. You know the families they claim to want. -

I think you missed the point (not that I agree with it). The tiering is not how it is today. It is a plan for the future. How to move forward with the parks. I think SFoT should be the biggest and best of the bunch as it's the original park. It's not currently though. Then again I think Disneyland should be that for Disney, yet it's not either. -

As I said, I've ridden every year since the first day open to public except 2020 and don't really notice a difference. Yes I can see differences in videos, both on and off ride. But in person on the ride? Nope feels the same. -

You can see that much variation from a cool morning to a warm afternoon. Never mind a early spring (March) morning vs a July afternoon. -

More than tripled. $56 all park gold pass plus to $240 for the Extreme (the cheapest all park pass) at SFoG. Ok it includes the $40 one day meal, so $200. Even the single park pass is $132, which is nearly triple. A huge increase with reduced benefits. -

How many are close to the number of Parks and cover such a wide area? Cedar Fair is what, half the number as Six Flags. -

Compared to $56 I paid for the all park pass for 2020? -

Agree. SF is just not worth the new costs to me either. I bought season passes so I could go on a whim (or while traveling for work) when they were relatively cheap. And the dining option made such visits worth while. If the same options I had in 2021 were $10-20 more for 2022 I would have renewed all 3 of us. But the new pricing just isn't worth it when the nearest park is 3+ hours away. I didn't renew I 2022 an doubt I will for 2023 either. Some special event (like a meet up) might get me in a park for a day. I'll keep my passes to other places where there's more than just crappy, over priced food an long lines for the same old rides deteriorating. -

Christmas movie for NBC. Includes something about a casino based on the casting call for extras. Was there a parade last night? She usually is in that. And depending on schedule she'll pop in at the beginning/end of shows at random. Seems to favor Celebrity Theater though. -

Having ridden it since the first public rides (pure luck, but was there the day they had media doing interviews as people came off the ride. Had a nice chat with Pete Owens that day too) I really don't think it has changed in any significant way. Sure the original zero car looked better, but that doesn't really change the ride. The whole point of I-Box and Topper track are that they ride like wood with less maintenance, and I don't notice any differences in the two nor the re-tracked sections. -

Well trees are out. They like to blow over or loose branches that damage rides. That was the impetus for cutting them back. We don't have much showing the station area and the path from old WWG to the ride. The B&W photo shows 3 buildings other than the station. Some new trees down near Till & Harvest. And thicker trees near the train tracks. As the new WWG section grows they could add around BBM. I'm not sure how they will get past BBM. Not much room to the west before you hit the train tracks. Lots of room down by Till & Harvest and MM, but how to get there? -

Could be partially capacity. But at the same time I'd expect TH, TT, and WE to have longer lines than they typically do. Quite often they are walk on to less than 10 min. -

FCE is still packed most of the time. Longer waits than bigger coasters like WE, TT, and TH. DF too. This will take some pressure off those and I expect all 3 will be very busy for years to come. The comments on FB seem to be overwhelmingly positive. A few coaster fans like here and a few that want something indoor, but mostly people glad for rides they and/or their kids can/will ride. Unlike the big coasters, they have long term appeal. I remember the lines in Nov 2012 after WE opened. I haven't seen anything close since 2013. That huge cue is virtually unused now, just like the one for TT and TH. I'm hopeful they do more theming and décor than the renderings show. The rest of the area cleared will be filled in over time. I kind of expect some surprises there next year. 2020-2022 really screwed with the plans. -

BBM is twice the length (3990 ft) of Ice Breaker (1900 ft).
