Getting sprayed by sprinklers on Timberwolf- that's freaking ace! (not the club, of course) I went to college in Lawrence, KS (go Hawks) and got plenty of milage from my WoF pass. NEVER did I get a ride with sprinklers. You bastrads! I'm green as hell. Not hitting Bell's I see; what's up with no love for Zingo? Good to hear you gents are having a time. Enjoy the hell out of the trip! Thanks for the pics. I actually miss my Midwest. -Scott

Famous coaster enthusiasts
Zingo! replied to flyby208's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Price was in a coaster video I used to own. He was at the old location of Elich Gardens and was the narrator of the video. I totally am blanking on the title of the thing... anyone? -
"Heaven, Hell, and an Avalanche," or...
Zingo! replied to coastermoosh's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I read your TR on another site and STILL read through the entire TR again. Although traveling to the Dell's two years in a row from SoCal seems unreasonable, NOT riding Hades this season is beginning to sound even more unreasonable for a geek (emgee ) like me! Awesome TR Moosh; I can't wait for CAC! -
VIDEO: Cedar Point Coaster Mania 2005
Zingo! replied to PhishyBrewer's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I think it's freakin' awesome... I like how you focused on many rides in the park, not just the newest or most popular. I loved the Phish, but reminds me that Zooma was cancelled... -scott -

Seeing that TOGO makes me jealous. I love those things! Nice photos. It reminds me of when I was your age, and going to parks with friends. It looks like you guys had fun! -scott

Amusement Ride Breakdown!
Zingo! replied to Mr Stratosphere's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
On DCA Soarin', having an E stop because of a fire alarm. It happened about 2 minutes into the film. The lights go on, and our mechanical movement turns into free swinging. We were lowered to the floor after a minute or so. The ride op was on the phone at his console area, and didn't know to evacuate us. It was funny to see other workers from the ride bust in and hurry us out. It happened right before the park closed, so sadly we missed Soarin' that trip. -scott -
TR: Cliff's Amusement Park May 8th

Nice play-byplay! Thanks! Night rides in the hot summer desert must rock... -
It's all gone Pete Tong was awesome, saw the advance screening last night. It opened in NY and LA late last month. If you live in a city it happens to be playing, I highly recommend. I have a feeling the rodent lovers out there might be a bit disturbed by the main character Frankie's "demon" side, which is played by a human sized skunk-looking rodent. It was a trip! -the link to the trailer is on my post on the prev. page- scott

Kudos to WoF for providing the kid with a OE car, that's awesome! -
Hi all! I grew up in Tulsa, OK. I went to college at the University of Kansas, Lawrence. I now live in San Diego. I just started a new job where I need lots of break time, hence my recent postings. See you all on the boards!

So how many people out there are ACEer's?
Zingo! replied to PhishyBrewer's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I've been in ACE on and off since '92. I used to love it when WoC was the only place on the web I knew of for coaster updates, and the information in the publications was actually news to me. Now I'm a member of ACE and ECC, and I will be keeping the ECC membership for sure. I can't wait for the PKeg article, or the entire issue for that matter. -
I'm glad to hear some of you like Elephant. I've been waiting for the right occasion to rent it, and I think I'll do it this weekend. I saw "Turtles Can Fly" two nights ago, and while it is disturbing, it was great. If movies like this are your "thing", I highly recommend it! http://www.ifcfilms.com/ifcfilms?CAT0=3127&CAT1=6266&AID=10507&CLR=red&BCLR I'm seeing a screening of "it's all gone pete tong" on monday I'm pretty excited about, too. http://www.itsallgonepetetong.com/

Probably not a popular opinion: The Matrix I expected something thought-provoking, and got some Hollywood crap.

Awwwwww, and I thought this thread was about Gilbert Godfrey or Elvira. USA Up ALL Night! Bring it back baby!

Help Robb & Elissa With Music!
Zingo! replied to SharkTums's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I second CoasterFanatic's choices, especially BR-549 for PK. Excellent idea, and plenty to choose from! Reverend Horton Heat or Tenderloin also comes to mind. If you need music for any construction footage "Erection" by the Faint would fit perfectly, or so I think. VMW (formerly Virgin Mega Whores) has some pretty interesting stuff on their only CD, which is self titled. I always want to speed in my car when it's on, which seems pretty fitting to me! Scott
