That would explain my comment a few pages back that you asked about - I read the caption as 'the trains can run backwards', not 'the trains can run on existing rides'. Oops. -
Like other people said, if they're willing to invest in the park hopper that would be their best bet. Start at the Studios for Tower and Toy Story, shift over mid-day to Animal Kingdom for Everest and the Safari until they close at sunset, and then back to the Studios for Fantasmic. Epcot is way too fun of an experience to rush or miss out on.

This couldn't have happened in time for Rebel Yell's 40th anniversary last year?! -

Holy crap, no way you'd find me hanging out of that basket like that. Hard pass. They're repainting and polishing Maverick too? -
If it is back to its earlier years...it's a top 10 wooden coaster for sure. Then the only thing remaining will be to see how long it stays that way this time. I have a hard time believing that the GCI approach will last as long as, say, topper track would have, and I'm curious as to whether they'll either a) prove me wrong or b) be kicking themselves for picking a temporary fix. Obviously, I'm hoping for the former!

Glad to see a little bit more on how this thing's going to work. I'm even more curious now, because that video gives me the idea there won't be a splash when the car's traveling backwards - I wonder if there will be a retractable floor of some sort to quickly lower the water level, or if I'm just thinking too much into it! -
^^Agreed. It seems to me that it would be relatively cheap at this point to convert Roar, because the designs have already been drafted for SFDK. There are some minor differences, but most of the design should be the same - and an RMC makeover on the cheap is exactly the kind of 'new' coaster (not from scratch, but not another relocation) that SFA could invest in.

I'm sorry, but no. Crap operations and long dispatches aren't something I feel inclined to complain to a supervisor about, no matter how obnoxious they are. Somebody on the platform next to a moving train? That's unacceptable. Six Flags operators do one of the most overstated visual scans out there, and somehow all of them missed a child right in front of them? That's a serious lapse in safety protocol. Your 'stressful situation' excuse is, quite frankly, complete bull. Nobody would give them that pass if the kid got an arm pinned between the platform and the train, which is completely possible in this situation. And that speaks right to your point that the child was never in danger - wrong. All the 'stressful situations' people deal with on a daily basis and pull off without a hitch, and some teenagers can't properly push 18 lap bars down and then regain their composure long enough to check for a human in front of them? Come on.

Out of the four I've been on so far (Cyclone and Medusa as makeovers, Goliath and Outlaw Run as originals) I think I would rank it as a very close third, after Outlaw Run and Medusa - but I rode it on a day where it was flurrying when we got to the park and the temperature never broke 45 degrees. I could easily see it beating Medusa on a warmer day, for sure.

Having just ridden Wicked Cyclone on Sunday for the first time (only once, such a shame), I can definitely say that I noticed a vibration at the bottom of the first drop and after the overbank. After that, though, it went away...maybe I was just distracted by how freakin' insane the thing is. Seriously - it's awesome. Also, I'm not one to complain about restraints - I love Skyrush and all the 'pain' that comes with it - but man, I can get behind anyone who hates the Bizarro trains. Those lap bars are brutal, in every sense of the word. Unbelievably uncomfortable, and a real downer on one hell of a ride.
