  1. Slight bump...As I said earlier, I did treat myself to the USC/Alabama game at Jerry World. There are no photos of said game because, well, it wasn't much of a game. But I did make a return trip to Rangers Ballpark, took the tour of the stadium, and sat inside the batters eye! So here are some more photos of Rangers Ballpark... Heading up to Seattle in a few weeks for USC/Washington and will possibly do the Safeco field tour as well, so expect more updates soon! Well, if USC wins of course. The press box. Very exciting, I know. The view from the press box. A lot of teams have been moving their press boxes to the corner to sell more premium seats, so this is probably a better view than most new stadiums The field level tunnel. Rangers Clubhouse As you walk from the clubhouse to the dugout, they have signs commemorating all their award winners. Motivation I suppose. The dugout! View from dugout. What was cool about this tour, is they still conducted it with players working out. A lot of teams would restrict the field if this was happening. Elvis Andrus took photos with fans. Everything was already set up for the game/players workout The post game interview area. Connected directly to clubhouse. View from inside the batters eye. The Rangers turned it into a private all you can eat club. Great value for the $90 we paid. Also visited the Rangers Hall of Fame. I guess this guy pitched a long time. History on the stadiums. And construction of said stadium. Well, that's awkward... everything is bigger in Texas. They were aggressively campaigning to get tax payers to pay for a new stadium, when this one is only 22 years old...Murica! Fireworks night while waiting for our Uber.
  2. That is correct. With all the downtime and the line all the way down the hill by Revolution. Fun times for those working!
  3. Thanks to the halloween event, I now just need a Porygon to complete the U.S. pokedex. Also glad to see they are adding bonuses for daily players!
  4. Sea world is very spread out. Never really seen long lines for the rides. Shows are always packed though!
  5. The Cubs are in good shape until 2020-2022 when all their current cheap rookie contracts expire.
  6. I agree. Knott's has been smart with their yearly projects, focusing on the overall quality of the park instead of blowing their budget on a single attraction/coaster. Revitalizing Ghost Town, The Boardwalk, Camp Snoopy and increasing the food quality throughout the park has done wonders for them. I haven't even been to the Boysenberry Festival yet but I think I would fall in love with it. Looking forward, I'm hoping to see a full refurb of Fiesta Village - It's my least favorite part of the park. Sol Spin looks like a nice start! The old Boardwalk BBQ is one of the oldest non Ghost Town buildings in the park. I think upgrading it was more necessity than "smart." Same with the previous Ghost Town enhancements. I'm also assuming they got quite a deal from Mondial given how the Windseeker saga played out. However, it does work well for them. Carving out their niche in the market by bringing the charm back while still being reasonably priced (more expensive than SFMM, less than USH & Disney). I hope they can stick with that and still give us another big coaster...
  7. I haven't seen Soarin 2.0, so I can't comment on the film. I was just referring to the ride system itself. I think it is technically impressive and worked well as Soarin 1.0 for what it was. If you are going to have a screen based attraction, might as well make the ride system/motions be unique.
  8. I dig the facade...the ride system sounds like Universal's take on Soarin, which could be cool. The theme of the ride? We'll see. Minus points for being another screen based attraction too.
  9. You'll find weld spots on a lot of the older B&M's if you look.
  10. And I haven't ridden it since the metal detectors went in, and I won't again until those are removed. This is the biggest thing for me as well. Didn't even bother on my last trip because of how much of a hassle the metal detectors are. I was already frustrated after my cargo pockets weren't good enough for Hulk and I was sent back to the lockers. That is on top of them not dueling anymore...
  11. Checked it out Wednesday...definitely think Queen Mary offers the best bang for the buck (costco had a deal for two tickets including front of line for $77 and there is also goldstar tickets available at a discount if you didn't want FOL)! The mazes set design isn't as high quality as you'll find at Knott's or Universal, but they make up for it with tight/dark spaces and monsters really into their roles (and all makeup!). Wednesday night they also had a "sliders unite" event that had monsters from Knott's and HHN roaming the streets and participating in the slider show. That was neat!
  12. I believe the intent of the long lazy rivers is to keep people busy instead of waiting in actual lines for slides. Universal has already gone on record saying Volcano Bay "will redefine the queue experience so visitors can focus entirely on having fun and spending time together."
  13. I totally support this, although I doubt much of the content would be "PG-13", haha. I missed the note about the bus as well...the comments people have made are ridiculous and delusional. Having spent 10+ hours on a bus with other TPR members in Texas, I'd happily be on a stolen bus you guys! Snack time, bingo, quality video, jokes.. This thread is better than "mean tweets." No need for Robb to bother reading their dumb quotes when they are all right here for us!
  14. I still haven't been on the ride, but I am definitely more excited to see penguin in a wetsuit than to ride the ride!
  15. It is possible that Cedar Fair is being cautious until more is known about the accident, but KBF is usually pretty good about updating their website with schedule ride closures. So I doubt it.
  16. Super excited to finally check it out on Wednesday. It usually ends up as my favorite of the big haunts because the monsters all use make up (no masks), they do things the major haunts could never get away with (such as the ball pit), and let the monsters all have their own unique styles (my favorite last year was a street monster girl who was silent and just followed you playing a creepy song on a violin. So simple yet incredibly effective!)
  17. Considering how cheap gold passes are, I'm guessing their parking revenue isn't as high as you would imagine.
  18. How many trains? Long ride+1 train=long wait for ride.
  19. As if I needed any more reasons to go back... I don't do seafood, but the drinks, lamb, and crumb cake!
  20. I've always said that B&M just keeps flipping trains around. The floorless looks like an inverted invert train...guess I was right! Also, the trim keeps Mako from being REALLY good. It's middle of the pack for me, still lots of fun though.
  21. Still need Muk and Polygon, so I still play!
  22. ^Same. Anything to make bad tower possibly better is OK by me!
  23. Royal Caribbean is also still buying new ships Not much known...200,000 gross tonnage, 2022/2024 delivery dates, powered by fuel cells and liquefied natural gas.
  24. ^Indisputable evidence the standard all the other leagues use as well. Unless it's obvious, I think that is a fair standard. Having the managers wait for their replay guy is essentially waiting twice for the replay. Personally, I think if leagues wanted to do replay right they would have one person watching each game and being ahead of the curve. Know already its a close play and already be reviewing in the event it is challenged.
  25. You get unlimited challenges as long as you are correct each time, which is exactly why they wait for their replay guy. In the post season, each manager gets 2 per game if they are wrong. It's completely contradictory to their pace of play initiatives. They need to add a timer to the amount of time allowed to challenge, just like they do for mound visits and time between innings/pitching changes....
