^That's great. Still doesn't change the fact doing that had to be one of the idiotic things you can ever do with a paintball gun. Your friend sounds like he's lucky to be alive if he was shot point blank and the paintball didn't break. ^^ That's why I always spend a little bit more for high quality paintballs. The bright/thick fills make wiping almost impossible.

^^^Had there been any injuries from thet accidental shot to the face, your friend could have been charged with assault with a deadly weapon. Paintballs can do some serious damage at close range.

^Nicole, that's exactly what paintball is: capture the flag with guns! No offense, but this is why paintball gets such a horrible reputation. Granted that f you guys are on private property where the owner gave you permission to play, you technically aren't breaking any laws. However, not playing at official fields where safety actually matters, and doing something as stupid as what your friends did, is exactly what gives paintball such a bad reputation and keeps it from becoming more mainstream. Some towns have even outlawed paintball!!

Felt the need to bump this thread. Anyone out there still playing paintball? I'm still playing with my PMR and Halo B. Only ended up getting the Ultralite frame because I like the feel and got tired of the buttons falling out of the stock frame whenever I had to change the battery. I'll probably upgrade to a used DM6 or 7 (have you seen the prices for new high end guns? It's $1,500 for the top of the line Smart Parts gun...) when I get more money saved up.

Why? Actually using the ticket will help offset those cutbacks and get things back to normal! Brilliant promotion for Universal. Surely this will help get people away from Disney and spending money on their property for a day or two instead (food, drinks, merch, etc.).

^To be honest, I have NO idea how true that story is. I should have been more clear than just "I believe." But I know I've heard it a few times before. Everything I heard with Pinfari was regarding just the Paris version. Maybe people just assumed because it's the same layout as the TL-59?

Seriously though, the only school that comes close to USC as far as producing talent this decade has to be Miami. I believe Colossus only has I-beams in the first drop, which actually has a small pop of airtime now because of that! CCI also used southern yellow pine because it was cheaper, but it also turned out to be of inferior quality.

In the last two minutes of the game only the booth can call for a replay. There is absolutely no reason why a play so critical should not have at least gone under a full review. Even Al Michaels was saying that it is a no brainer for it to be reviewed. The outcome may have been the same, but at least there would have been no doubt. The angles they showed on TV were far from obvious, but what's done is done.

^Have you been to the parks? Do you have first hand knowledge of the construction process of these parks? Perhaps they were just cheaper to construct because the cost of construction is much cheaper (materials, labor, permits, etc.)? There was an interview in Amusement Today a few months ago with one of their executives...these guys mean business. They want to be THE chain of theme parks in China, and I think they are definitely off to a good start. Having been to the Beijing and Shenzhen parks, I would classify them right below Busch parks in terms of quality. I thought they were VERY nice. WAY above the themeing at Mt. Olympus. They looked like they spared no expense on the things that really mattered, and only went "cheap" on little things like painting some sections of floor/wall as opposed to finishing the rockwork all the way around. And that was only in some sections. The Crystal Wings (B&M flyer @ the Beijing park) section would fit right in at Islands of Adventure. Happy Valley Shenzhen has been open since 1998 and still looks pretty damn good!

Working in the industry, I totally understand that policy changes are not always something the park has control over. Could be a corporate mandate, state mandate, or manufacturers mandate. So I can forgive them for a policy change they may have had nothing to do with, but they totally dropped the ball taking care of the things they DO have control over. Perhaps that is a sign (no pun intended) the IBU thing isn't going as well as they thought? Not changing the website and not having the proper signage out front means there was no communication and no one took ownership of the change in policy. When the park is trying so hard to improve its "fmaily friendly" image, dropping the ball with something like this surely doesn't help things...
