  1. I didn't think the airtime was anything crazy, though to be fair my definition of airtime might be different after riding rides like Kawasemi, T-express, Balder, and Dodonpa.
  2. http://www.mynews13.com/content/news/cfnews13/on-the-town/article.html/content/news/articles/cfn/2014/3/1/universal_parking_lo.html?cmpid=breaking
  3. ^It was listed for sale while it sat there instead of being sent to Mall of America for parts right away, so they at least gave it a chance.
  4. It's up there with YOLOCoaster...no one who is a seasoned coaster rider is going to put it in their top 25, but it's still a fun little ride that they won't say anything bad about either.
  5. USH doesn't offer the tickets to come back any more. They still do offer the free hot chocolate and relocate shows & character meet-and-greets indoors though.
  6. Tampico Tumbler sat in that spot for YEARS as well left in tact...so I'm not sure you can read too far into it being in tact.
  7. That's unfortunate. Doesn't harm the business one bit to accommodate the few guests who did have issues. I agree with the park if it's a season pass holder who comes all the time and is obviously just trying to game the system, but I would hope they would make exceptions for those who really were just wanting to visit for the day. Being nice to guests has the strange effect of INCREASING business. "Here, have a 1-time use front of line pass for when you do come back" costs the park absolutely nothing and will go a long way in making the guest spend more money in the park vs "weather is not our fault. too bad!" But of course…that's why SFMM is SFMM. Knott's does the same thing I believe, which is why KBF still has a long way to go to recover from the old management of Cedar Fair as well.
  8. ^I assume you are being sarcastic, but my point has nothing to do with the weather. Actually, I don't even have a point. I was really just curious to know if they make any sort of effort to recover any guests inconvenienced by the weather. It sounds like the standard response is that tickets don't expire, so they can be used any other time. I just wonder if they do anything for those who can't come back.
  9. ^^It shouldn't matter. It's not like the guest is trying to scam the park if the ticket is legitimate. I would HOPE the park would make exceptions, which is why I asked. I am curious to know what they do.
  10. One of my favorite things to do as a monster at Haunt way back when was open a hatch in the shipping crate facades around the Perilous Plunge turnaround and throw cups of water on the boats. I'd say having a clown pop out and give you a bonus splash counts as surprising.
  11. ^There's never "nothing they can do." I was just curious if they actually do try to go the extra mile for those who purchased tickets they may not be able to use at all or not again until much later in the year.
  12. I'd be curious to hear experiences when it comes to dealing with the park on a day they closed for weather. I would *HOPE* they did the right thing for the guests they inconvenienced.
  13. Translation: she couldn't talk on camera, but was still helping us out.
  14. I hope they'll at least bring back Crystal Clear Pepsi...
  15. Why is this even a debate? Theme parks are a luxury. Universal and Disney will charge as much as people are willing to pay. There's no story or debate to be bad.
  16. Value is totally subjective, so it amazes people even care so much about this…everyone should be happy the theme park business is experiencing another boom in business similar to the pre 9/11 building frenzy!
  17. I think a bigger problem now is e-cigs and vapes…people don't even consider those smoking, so they are very inconsiderate and do it anywhere.
  18. So when does the initiation start for Club TPR? There's certainly nothing wrong with a group sharing a common love of the park hanging out there (hey, that's what we do too!)…but it's just weird trying to act like they are anything more than just friends hanging out at the park.
  19. Great call on the Dole Whip! Is it available elsewhere in Vegas?
  20. Since it's at DL in Anaheim, I am guessing the majority of the reports will be bragging about how it is the best of all the Thunder Mountains and the greatest thing ever.
  21. "We dare you to be the first park to cross the $100 barrier"-Disney to Universal (since Universal usually does their price changes after Disney)
  22. I'm a sucker for any sort of ride figures, ride vehicles, ride models, snow globes, etc. I have spent way too much time on ebay trying to get all the disney die cast vehicles. Nothing will be better than Shariki though! This was my desk…and that's not even close to everything!
  23. I didn't get the ride at all…was actually disappointed because we couldn't really figure out what the flashlights added!
