  1. Loved Robb's taco costume! Dave - I kept seeing you at MNSSHP, and I had to keep reminding myself that I don't actually know you, so it would have been weird if I were to yell, "Dave!" like I was tempted to! That rain at the beginning of MNSSHP sucked.
  2. Oh. My. God. I lived and died for Dukes of Hazzard, when I was 12! I had NO idea Cooter was a 2-term Congressman! AWESOME! This is a cheesy tourist trap I could totally get into!
  3. Wow. Just wow. That looks beyond awful. It amazes me that these crappy places are able to stay in business! I'm sure it isn't cheap, either.

    WDW October

We just got Country Inn and Suites Calypso Cay for next weekend, for $30/night through priceline. We've stayed there many times. It's not the Radisson, but it's decent and has a nice, free breakfast, too!
  5. Thanks for letting us crash your party for a little bit, last night! We never did make it on BTMRR. First time (right after HalloWishes,) they closed it, as soon as we made it to the entrance. Second time (right after the parade,) the stand-by time changed from 10 to 20 minutes, right as we walked up, and we were just too tired to wait, at that point. Ah well, back again in a week and a half! Yay for new FL resident passes! Hope the rest of your week is great!
  6. Woohoo! Two more days untill MNSSHP!!!!

    WDW October

When we first started going, in 2004, parking was $7/day, so the price has doubled in 5 years!!!! I can't do WDW busses. I've tried a few times, but I'm pretty claustrophobic, and they do tend to be crowded. I almost had a panic attack on a standing room only trip from Epcot to ASMu.
  8. I asked about driving to Richmond, as that is what we are planning on doing, to avoid airfare for 5 people. Maureen "still trying to figure out how to come up with $25,000 for a Japan trip" O'Donnell
  9. It reminds me of Atkins Farms, in Amherst, MA - one of my favorite places in world, especially in autumn. We would go there every year to get our pumpkins and cider donuts! http://www.atkinsfarms.com/ordereze/Default.aspx
  10. Are you serious? Elevators break down ALL the time. It just doesn't make the news.
  11. I drove a Mazda 626 for 7 years. It was a hateful piece of crap. Hope you have better luck.
  12. Awwwww - memories! I haven't been to the Big E in I don't know how long, but we always went every year, when I was growing up in Chicopee (next town over.) My favorite was always the Avenue of States, getting stuffed baked potatoes at the Maine house and maple sugar everything at the Vermont house. I believe Texas is the largest state fair, followed by Minnesota. I've never been to Texas, but I went to the MN State Fair almost every year, when I lived out there. Loved the fresh brownies and all you can drink milk booth! Also saw one of my favorite concerts there - Violent Femmes and B-52's!
  13. I did notice the pineapple, but somehow, that wasn't quite as surprising as the waffle!
  14. Is that a waffle on top of a cheeseburger?
  15. *sigh* We can dream! *sigh*
  16. Sea salt ice cream. Oh. My. God. I MUST get to Japan!!!!!!
  17. Obscure Meatballs reference!!!!
  18. Thanks, Eric! Good to know I was wrong!
  19. What little I've seen, so far, it looks like the Little Mermaid ride is going to be similar to the Nemo ride at Epcot. Am I wrong?
  20. I will be sure to post a trip report!
  21. ^Thanks for the bump! I'm just catching up on all of this and am DROOLING while sitting here with a Diet Coke and a handful of honey roast peanuts. I hope you can post more, once your busy season is over!!!
  22. Got the coupons, yesterday! Thank you, Eric!!!!!!
