There is one less than a mile from us. We've never been there, though.

In searching online for Legoland discounts, I found a site that stated that select SoCal Burger Kings were giving out "Buy 1 adult Legoland ticket, get 1 child ticket free" coupons this summer, and that they were good through next January. Does anyone have any of these, or can acquire some?

Approximately 5 seconds on google will tell you that a 1 year old panda WEIGHS an average of 99 pounds.

Hope you are having fun in the NE! I was just looking over your Florida trip schedule. Looks like we're probably going to miss you. I think we're going to WDW the 13th and 14th, and then again for the 23rd and 24th. Let me know if you'll be driving through Jacksonville! I'm sure we'll be seeing you soon, though!

Ewwww! That actually looks even nastier than genital warts - WTF is that?

It's been about 30 years since I've seen Rollercoaster, but is this where Timothy Bottoms got smushed? -
We've pretty much decided against DL, at this point, in favor of FL resident annual passes for WDW. When I asked the kids, "Would you rather go to DL/DCA for 3 days, before the cruise, or would you rather go to Legoland for one day before the cruise, and get WDW passes for the year, starting next month," it was a done deal. We still hope to make it there, someday, but I think this is the best choice for us, right now. Thank you for all of the replies. They really did help us sort through this decision!

Only 3 Ratta? I think I would have had difficulty deciding which colors to get! I haven't made it to an IKEA, yet. The closest one is in Orlando. Definitely on my list of things to do, though! ETA - ooooooh! They have a supervised children's play area! Cool! http://www.ikea.com/us/en/store/orlando

I foolishly ignored the warning and kept reading through the TR at work. The charge nurse walked by as this picture was on the screen and asked me, "oh, are those pictures of your family?"

TPR T-Shirt Garage Sale!!!

I'd like to order 4 grab bag shirts, plus an XL 90 Degree shirt and a YM 90 Degree shirt. Is there a way to order them all together, or should I just order them separately? -

Amazing report! Thank you for sharing! Do you buy all the items you donate, yourself, or do you take a collection, before you leave? I know a lot of people who do medical mission trips to Haiti and Dominican Republic, and they put up collection boxes for items, before they go. -
My reply that you quoted was not directed at you. The person I was responding to (as indicated by the ^^) deleted his original post. Sorry for the misunderstanding.

^^ Because posts like these show a lack of patience and lack of respect for the trip report writers. Do you really truly believe that the trip suddenly aborted or suddenly became so awful that nobody could bear to post a report after Kemeh? That's absurd. Or maybe I'm giving you too much credit, and you really just don't have a clue. But hey, go right ahead and keep asking "where are all the updates?" and see where that gets you.

Even if you are "just wondering," it's pretty obvious that Robb is currently very busy on the West Coast tour, which followed shortly after the Deep South tour. In between, he has a RL job and family, as well as planning/organizing all of these trips for groups of 50+ people, plus extras like the Bay Area Bash. "Wondering" why he hasn't finished the Deep South updates while he has spent the past month recovering from the trip, planning the next trip, and taking the next trip, (while also holding down a demanding RL job, running a hugely successful website, and taking care of his family) is just obnoxious.

TRs are a LOT of work to do well. It's very easy to start them when you just got back from a trip and are still excited about it. Then real life has a way of coming in and stealing all your time and motivation. QFT Please don't complain about how long it takes to do updates. Most of us have lives, too.

I was going to try to post it, but I wasn't sure how, and I knew someone else would!

Ummm...do you read this site? Have you noticed that they are on another trip? And have another one coming up in a couple of weeks? Have you also noticed that it really pisses them off when people complain about updates? A little friendly advice - go back and modify your post, preferably deleting it all together. There will be updates when/if Robb has the time and inclination, and posts like yours puts a serious damper on both. Sorry if I'm backseat moderating, but really, it's hard to hold back sometimes!

Where in the world are the interpreters now???

Very cool, but what the hell is that thing? -
I replied on Big Mike's thread, but I'll add here, too. GKTW is a very worthy cause. I have seen kids on GKTW trips at Magic Kingdom many times. The look of awe and magic in their faces is priceless. Even if you can only donate a couple of dollars, that's enough to buy a little treat for a kid with cancer or other life-threatening condition!

I have whiter-shade-of-pale skin, and I live in Florida. Get yourself a rash guard shirt and some board shorts. That leaves very little skin exposed - less than if you are walking around the park in a shorts and a t-shirt. I use plain old "No-Ad" SPF 45 babies waterproof sunblock. Also, I try to hit the waterpark after 2PM. I've only been on Crush-n-Gusher, which I thought was amazing fun. I would LOVE to try this one!!! -
Florida 2010: September
moinab replied to stealth2006's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
The weather in Florida in September - hot, humid, and hurricaney. There is no way of knowing which years will be bad for tropical storms. A few years ago, we had three or four that hit in September. It sucked. It's a crap shoot. You could luck out and have no storms, or your trip could be entirely ruined by a week-long storm front. No way to know what you are going to get. Yes, hurricanes do affect the theme parks, depending on where they hit. Again, no way to know when and where they will strike. Hurricanes are HUGE storms, and can easily cover most of the peninsula. I would say that your chances are pretty good that you wouldn't be affected by a storm, but there are no guarantees. That is exactly why this is the quietest and cheapest time to go - significant hurricane/tropical storm risk.
