  1. That made me have an SAT flashback.
  2. 3.7 or 3.8 GPA (not sure, it hasn't been recalculated yet) at the end of my Junior year. I didn't work very hard in 9th or 10th grade, but I worked my ASS off during this past year and it paid off. 1350 on the SAT's and 30 on the ACT's, each with no studying. I could do better if I studied, but standardized tests will only get you so far (Unless you want to go to a state school!). Mark "I've still had a great high school experience! I've never forgotten that I'm a kid and that school shouldn't be my entire life" Luskus
  3. You can only define a coaster to a certain extent, but most everyone knows one when they see one. Mark "A precise, perfect definition is not necessary" Luskus
  4. Thanks for the birthday wishes guys! I can now finally see rated R movies. Happy Birthday freestylenut! Mark "Always gets carded at movie theaters" Luskus
  5. I'm glad the surgery went well. This makes me feel better for getting my wisdom teeth removed (I'm going under general anesthesia most likely). Oh and, I really enjoyed the bits about Sandy Mark "Needles, Nurses, and Knives oh my!" Luskus
  6. Hands down Busch and PKD. Hershey is an incredible park, but Dorney is just terrible (It is just not what it's cracked up to be)... Infact I got food poisoning the last time I was there (Friday) and I have just today gotten my appetite back... Of course, that was a freak incident but it just makes me hate the park even more! EDIT: I just realized it was lame for me to say that I hate Dorney and not list my reasons. Dorney is a park that fails to acheive an atmosphere. It has little shade, lacks character, and the generic Cedar Fair corporate feel permeates through it. The rides are pretty decent. Talon, Hydra, Thunderhawk and Laser are all good roller coasters and there are some pretty good flat rides, but nothing that stands out. The food is bad (In comparison to BGW and possibly PKD, I don't exactly remember). One MAJOR plus is that often times, even during the summer months, the park has relatively short lines due to the fact that the waterpark is much more popular. I hope that helps a bit? Mark "I hope I can visit BGW this summer" Luskus
  7. I rode Hydra on Friday. 5 minute line (10-15 for the front). It was a lot better than I expected! It was pretty fun actually! Mark "Gives me hope for future B&M's" Luskus
  8. Well, this definitely sucks, especially since I was planning to take advantage of Friday morning ERT's this summer, but I'm glad that I was able to ride it before this happened. Mark "I've heard that it was a serious malfunction, but that is just speculation" Luskus
  9. ^ Yes, admire my cleavage.
  10. My friends and I at Penn State for a science fair competition.
  11. Rachel Ray has the best job. Mark "Works for the food network and travels around and eats... Lucky whore" Luskus
  12. Coconut Coke Mark "I think it would be kick ass" Luskus
  13. Check the abs, check the crabs, bite the nipple. Mark "this is what myself and other science geeks come up with while at science fair" Luskus
  14. The 10th grade in my high school isn't exactly the smartest, coolest, or keenest, and during this past week they certainly outdid themselves... Student A laced student B's food with ex lax, causing him to suffer from some classic gastro interstinal complications. But did student B take it? Nope. He got revenge and in one of the most ingenious ways imaginable. He took a crap in student A's history book. He took the book out of the locker, took it into the bathroom, squirted into it, closed it, and placed it back into student A's locker. Mark "My school really has its moments" Luskus
  15. String cheese, chex mix, peanuts, sunflower seeds, coke.... Mark "I'm sure theres many more but I just can't think of them" Luskus
  16. Too bad these changes will be happening right before I begin my life as a poor college student!!! Mark "No longer will mommy and daddy pay for me to line jump" Luskus
  17. There will be one hour of Friday morning ERT for passholders, so definitely take advantage of that when you guys visit! Qbot was set up, but I'm not sure if its online quite yet. When I walked past the qbot entrance there were employees talking to a crowd of people. As far as how it compares to TTD, I really don't know. TTD was broken down the entire time I was last at Cedar Point. Something I left out... The brakes at the top of the tophat weren't noticeable, although perhaps they are and I simply didn't feel them due to my shock of how high up I was! When I got off Kingda Ka I decided to walk around the Golden Kingdom since I hadn't seen it yet. It's incredible. Great theming, beautiful plants and animals (Tortoises!!!), and the tiger viewing area was very cool. Apparently umbrellas scare the tigers so one of the white tigers was roaring and jumping at the plexiglass. Mark "Likes the Golden Kingdom more than Kingda Ka!" Luskus
  18. So I decided to go to GADV today to finally ride this thing. I left the house at 8:20 and got to the park at 9:15 (thanks to a higher speed limit on the PA turnpike!). A LOT of people were there, waiting anxiously behind the ropes to ride a ride that had yet to begin testing... Once the rope dropped at 9:50, all hell broke loose. Thank goodness I'm on the track team because otherwise I would have been DYING. It isn't exactly the easiest ride to run to. Luckily due to my athletic prowess I was one of the first twenty people in line. This queue line is MASSIVE! Despite its size, I can still imagine people spilling out into the midway on a crowded summer day. So I got up to the station and an hour and fifteen minutes later the ride opened... Since rain was imminent (it had started to very lightly drizzle) I ditched my plans to ride in the front seat and hopped in the first row of the second car. You are rolled out onto the launch track, hook onto the sled, a loud horn blares (Yup, thats all there is. A horn. No cool saying, no lights... Just a loud air horn) and a few second later you are launching down the track. So the ride was definitely fun. It was very fast and very tall and pretty exhilerating. Unfortunately, there didn't seem to be many forces (airtime or positive G's) and the train shakes violently at the end of the launch track. Oh and the restraints were not a problem on the ride. My neck didn't hit the shoulder bars once. So overall it's a good, fun, ride, but when our Intamin woody opens next year I'm pretty sure I'll be spending much more time riding that. Mark "Couldn't get a second ride because the line was four hours..." Luskus
  19. Studying and working in the field of engineering seems like a circle of hell to me... Mark "I'll stick to biochemistry and molecular biology" Luskus
  20. Nice TR and pictures! Although it's nice that Dorney recieves attractions on a consistent basis, it seems that with every new addition more trees are removed (Area where Joker used to be) and the park loses any charm it once had. Mark "Typical Cedar Fair park feel... Good thing the waterpark is awesome!" Luskus
  21. My day was interesting. -Overslept my alarm by 40 minutes and had to get ready to leave for school in 5. -Got the highest grade in the class on an honors chem test. -I had a track meet after school. It was kind of embaressing, our school sucks at track. -I let loose a silent but deadly fart in the middle of english class. Half the class nearly died. -Ate 2 pieces of pizza, a cupcake, starbursts and a piece of cake for lunch. Mark "Good day" Luskus
  22. I'll be sitting at home working on my term paper! YAY!!! Mark "The history of smallpox is AMAZING" Luskus
  23. Jeans, zip up blue hoody, PALE pink (not hot pink) polo shirt.
  24. I do pretty well with my parents salaries... Lol. Mark "I should get a job" Luskus
  25. Small for me Mark "I'm tiny" Luskus
