Cedar Point (CP) Discussion Thread

Honestly, look at is as a blessing in disguise. Park has been mobbed as of late. A chance of storms rolling through for an hour or two may be worth far lower crowds. Thats the way I was looking at it. Not sure if my kids are 52 inches quite yet so the plan is to hit Magnum and MF first then whatvever after that. -

Just theorizing because he mentioned it could be a water ride and GR has been mentioned in the past as a removal candidate. : ( I always thought grizzly was a strong water ride, it would be a shame to see it removed... It was probably 4-5 years ago, I think its been renovated since so I wouldnt be too concerned.

I may have missed it, is Valravn open again? -
Moto could be on the way out... It doesn't look like it was ever even meant to be there permanently, sitting on a swimming pool. Maybe it's time is finally up. I don't think I have seen it advertised in any ads for the park that I have seen lately, or any SFDL instagram posts. If they removed motocoaster, tin lizzys, and the go kart track, there would be a huge plot of land for a big coaster. Wouldn't that be cool to have a B & M dive coaster either partly over, or next to the lake... Cool yes, plausible... no

^ ROS and ME have needed paint for years of course (Moto is getting there) but I have noticed that concessions, buildings and signage all look mostly fresh and new. Predator is doable in the front car if you stay off the seat back but the car is still pounding the upstops. Wouldnt be sad if it rained gas on it and got struck by lightning.

I was there on a Wednesday last month and the only rides I had to wait for were Verbolten (2x), Roman Rapids and Le Scoot. But it was mid week and 97° so it might be a little different on a Sunday. We got there around 1130 and rode everything at a leisurely pace with some re-rides before thunderstorms rolled in around 830. And thats with waiting about 2 hours in lines for the 3 rides I mentioned.

Canada's Wonderland Discussion Thread

Not sure how much free time you'll have but you'll also be within a 2-3 hour drive from Six Flags Darien Lake and about 4 hours from Waldameer depending on Toronto and border traffic. -
Not anymore, theyve been using the land behind the Anchor Bar for the park stage, which could be a spot to put something. Not positive about this year. There's always the hill where some things used to be but that would probably be a lot of (expensive) earth moving. And as mentioned, Sleigh Ride is definitely a removal candidate. Reminds me of Raging Seas final years. I could see them removing or moving Maria's and the picnic grove if they wanted to open up space too.

I love your ideas except for one part. The stupid god awful VR. I tried it at Wonderland a few years back. It’s not that great and it would just make the already horrendous darien operations even slower. Also I doubt any fire effects would ever happen. Even when it was superman last time the most it had was some mist after the drop, and apparently they were too cheap to keep some simple mist even running anymore. Well they did go bankrupt...

I think they replaced some wheels (some of the wheels are yellow and some are clear) on Viper because today it was running real smooth and it was the first time it didnt give me neck pain. My wife said the same thing. Either that or we found the right car to ride in. I kept my head off the headrest and she kept hers on it so it wasnt necessarily riding position.
