  1. Hook's is from 96 and the wave pool is 97. The wave pool tile is looking like it could use replacing too.
  2. I could see it just being some updates andtir refurbishment. Hooks and ROS maybe
  3. I caught air on the third hump of one at a fair. It was at night and was starting to get condensation on it. Jacked up my neck a bit.
  4. Finally? Maverick Storm Runner Xcelerator Cheetah Hunt Dragster Kingda Ka Volcano (RIP) Wave Breaker Technically any of the impulse clones. That said, yes this looks awesome and may finally get me back to that park; my last visit was the year they removed BBW. You forgot Top Thrill Dragster... ya know, the first launched Intamin A) Who cares? B) No he didn't. Well shit, I am getting old

  6. You can get there from the front lot now that the "boardwalk" has been built, so nah, they won't let you back there if you aren't going to the water park. This seems to have changed back to allowing anyone to use that back lot. I have yet to be stopped or asked on my way back there. I haven't heard of anyone being turned away this season for not being a CPS guest. And I've parked there each time on my 6 visits and have yet to step foot inside the waterpark. On my last Cedar Point trip, I was directed to the back parking lot in the early afternoon. However, that put me in good position to ride Magnum on my way in and on my way out. So is the verdict yes or no on doing this? Going open the close probably next week and itd be convenient. Want to take the kids on their first hyper before they go on their first giga. But I also have Groupon vouchers so might have to go to the main gate anyways.
  7. I think part of the problem is that this park has about as much actual activity and changes as Dorney Park does, and this thread is for some inexplicable reason almost twice as long. You DL fans are just insane about minutiae and discussing all kinds of crazy out there possibilities that are extremely unlikely. Can't fault anyone for poking fun at that. And if you can't handle people poking fun at your inane obsession with a mid-tier park that doesn't need and won't get any substantial investment, perhaps this place is more your speed. It's ripe for revitalization. SFDL has had a lot more changes and news since this thread was started than Dorney Park. This thread started when it was first SFDL, so theres 2 sales in there, 4 operator changes, 2 (small) coasters, a waterpark expansion, a death on its one major ride, and one lease operator teasing and applying with the town for an RMC of Predator. It also sits directly between two mid sized cities and within a short driving distance of Toronto and Southern Ontario. Dorney has been owned and operated by Cedar Fair with no incidents that im aware of. Yeah its close to Philly but has to compete with Hersheypark and SFGAdv. SFDL's nearest competition is Canada's Wonderland but I rarely hear locals talk about going there.
  8. ^ The times ive gone this year they werent using the slides either
  9. Found this funny, the official ME POV you can now actually hear how much your head will bang. [youtu_be] [/youtu_be]
  10. Theres one spray area between the entrance to the water coaster and the Flowrider that has no queue but thats it.
  11. Key word is want. I dont expect one at all because im not an idiot. If that were to happen, work wouldve already started. Merely pointing out that a Free Spin has a similar ride time to two coasters already in the park. Seeing what SF has done lately, I expect a Discovery or Frisbee if anything.
  12. Yep, theres a fence across the front of the pool.
  13. I dont like how short the cycles are on those. Motocoaster and Tantrum are already short ones, lets get a serious one in here for once. Preferably by removing or RMC'ing Predator. Speaking of which, has it (or will it) re-opened yet?
  14. ^ on a mat racer, lift up the front end of the mat using the handles, otherwise it acts like a plow. At Water Country, I got a late start because I got stuck at the top for a second. I caught up and passed everyone using that method.
  15. My son was in line for the kiddie swings at SFDL and dancing like he had to go pee. I asked him twice and he assured me he didnt have to. I go sit on a bench while they ride to chat with friends, and we hear him crying on the ride. I go to see whats up, the ride is cycling down and well... you can figure it out:
  16. I know everyone's focused on the Twizzler's but nice to see someone else not like Churros. They're all over the tourist places and theme parks here in Korea and I can never understand the love. They always look like they should be great and it's just meh. I will say there used to be a place that filled them with a lot of hot caramel or peanut butter that was fine but sadly it's gone and back to plain regular ones. My kids liked the WDW churros but not any theyve tried since. Got two at Water Country USA that were nice and stale.
  17. Correct. Right up there with Candy Corn.
  18. All the spring rain and cool weather probably put a big damper on it.
  19. Rollo is Nestle.... nope - in the USA, it's Hershey Even looked it up on Wiki just now to make sure I'm not crazy: Rolo (pronounced /ˈrəʊləʊ/), referring to the roll-styled candy, is a brand of truncated-cone-shaped or frustum-shaped chocolates with a caramel middle. First manufactured in the United Kingdom by Mackintosh's in 1937 (followed by Rowntree's after the takeover in 1969), they are made by Nestlé, except in the United States where production has been licensed to The Hershey Company. Ah so it is. That said I doubt they would theme something after a product they dont wholly own.
  20. Looks to me to essentially be a candy themed Apollo's Chariot. Which isnt a bad thing.
