  1. Could use it on ROS. Viper, Moto and SkyScreamer on busier days. Itll be particularly useful if we road trip any parks this yr.
  2. Upgrade to Diamond here. Nice lodging discounts with that.
  3. With the governor banning non-essential construction, id say theres a good chance Wahoo Wave and Hurricane Harbor are delayed.
  4. ^ DL and 6 other parks were sold off in 2006, before Dan Snyder. DL was part of Premier Parks so it was in SF portfolio for awhile. Right now SF doesnt own DL, it just operates it under a triple net lease.
  5. Predator or CP's Corkscrew
  6. Is this because you havent ridden the SFDL version or some other reason? Ive mostly seen SFDL's placed slightly above based on terrain/location.
  7. CF said mid May at the earliest, which is just after DL's opening. I dont think we'll get any info for a few weeks.
  8. Let's hope so! Additionally we could have one more 'weapon' soon: warm weather. If this COVID19 responds the same way as seasonal flu, this could help flatten the curve sooner. Australia has cases, but not nearly as rampant. Summer just ended there. There has been discussion about warm weather by the medical community studying this. It's an unknown. Some of the tropical countries with this, ie. Singapore, have an air conditioning culture. Thailand supposedly does not have many cases but I've also read they have a large number of unspecific "viral pneumonia" (aka CV). And even if it does subside in summer there could be renewed cases in the fall. Chloroquine and / or other antivirals may be the quickest resolution. Or not. California's action for statewide shutdown is astonishing. If / when there is a national shutdown, even more so. One of our adaptations as a species is our ability to cooperate, share food, empathy, and this is a test of that. Florida has a large amount of cases too.
  9. Haha, awesome. This is their one chance, isn't it? You would think itd be due for an extended refurb at some point. There was talk of it in 2018. Its going on 14 years of near daily use so im surprised it hasnt happened already.
  10. Traveling fairs have a UFO equivalent called Zero Gravity. Its been at the Erie County Fair for years and also at the Fairgrounds Festival of Lights, so not quite as unique as you think.
  11. ^ Drove past today and their wave swinger is gone and it looked like Crazy Mouse was in the process but it was still dark.
  12. WIVB reported that rides were being dismantled this week.
  13. Why do they always seem to get in a financial mess after they pick up Darien Lake? At least they dont own the place right now so it wouldnt be as bad as the last time they dumped it. Technically, They got Darien Lake in 1995 Well yeah, its just happening quicker this time

  15. Anytime I had an issue in a queue I switched to WiFi and had no issue.
  16. Ill somewhat agree with Verbolten. I liked it but the ending is roigh IMO.
  17. Splash Mountain re-opened after refurb today, got on after a short breakdown and.... all the animatronics were off. Really odd when its that quiet.
  18. ^ good point. Definitely interested to hear what the JC recovery "prizes" were
