  1. The force of wind will plaster it to your face. Or, wear neck gaiters.
  2. I only used it at Mystic Timbers last year but I dont recall it having that option. Might have been due to it being late in the day though.
  3. I cant stand Cuomo, but I have to admit re-opening has gone very well. There havent been any spikes since re-opening, although the demographic of positive tests has shifted primarily to the 20-40 age group. NYers are also heavily compliant with mask wearing. Outdoor activities have never been a significant cause of spread.
  4. Because NY opened differently than other states. Look at the graph I posted above, other states opened at the top of that spike while NY waited until the downslope was clearly a trend (may 15) Really FL and AZ are just getting their first wave while NY already had theirs (in my non scientific, non doctor opinion)
  5. NY has the most cases and deaths by 2x. What are you talking about "contained"? But those were mostly in April. Its slowed to a trickle while FL and AZ are off the charts
  6. Well shit... I couldve had my answer 4 days ago if I knew to look there. Instead im asking on Twitter. Oh well... thanks!
  7. Cant verify the accuracy of this but it makes sense. A Twitter user says Forbidden Frontier, Snoopy Bounce, Snake River Falls, and Snake River Expedition are the rides that won't open.
  8. We've gone the last couple of seasons on the first week of 10-10 operations in early June. Any later than that is mayfly season, which is bad. For the rest of the season, you still catch some gnats on rides like Millennium Force, but it's tolerable. ^ this. I live on the other end of Lake Erie and theyre really bad right now. Theyll be gone in the next week or so.
  9. Id just like to know if all the coasters will be open.
  10. DLR reopening postponed https://amp.cnn.com/cnn/2020/06/24/media/disneyland-reopening-postponed/index.html New York(CNN Business)Disney is delaying the phased reopening of Disneyland and Disney California Adventure, the company's flagship theme parks in California, the company said on Wednesday. The resort, located in Anaheim, California, was set to welcome back guests on July 17 after being closed for months because of the coronavirus pandemic. Disney (DIS) did not give a new reopening date for the Disneyland resort. The company said that the State of California had indicated it would not issue theme park reopening guidelines "until sometime after July 4," according to a statement. "Given the time required for us to bring thousands of cast members back to work and restart our business, we have no choice but to delay the reopening of our theme parks and resort hotels until we receive approval from government officials."
  11. Well Genesee County hits phase 4 on Friday, but no word on if SFDL is included. Malls and gyms still arent included so theres a possibility it isnt.
  12. There's probably a bunch of J1's too but they should be mostly Q's. The Q is called the Disney visa for that reason. J's might be international CP students or other interns/workers that arent specifically cultural in nature. Shouldnt be any H2B's because thats for agricultural workers (I work for a government agency that does immigration work). If WDW wants an exception, theyll get it. Money talks of course. UPS and FedEx get similar preferential treatment at their international facilities because they pay the salary of the officers dedicated to their needs, similar to businesses paying local PD's overtime for traffic control or security.
  13. Just got a survey from Six Flags asking for thoughts on full park virtual queues, with a $5 skip the line pass option. I think its a good idea in theory, but I dont think the execution would be done right.
  14. The one used for Epcot isnt affected...
  15. Apparently most resorts will be opening... at some point. All-Stars and Port Orleans staying closed. Surprised to see Jambo House on the list, I thought that was a confirmed closure.
  16. Oh I absolutely get why you (or any full price payer) would be pissed. Happened at a Guns n Roses concert I went to. They upgraded all the nose bleeds to floor or lower bowl to fill in the stadium. That sucked. I just see the customer service problem too, especially when its of no fault to the customer. I do wonder how many people the moderate and value closures really affect, as most Disney fan families ive talked to say they dont want to spend that money for a watered down experience and theyre holding off until everything clears up.
  17. Its kind of a conundrum. You pay full price for the Deluxe by choice, but someone who had a reservation at Pop and wants to keep it cant stay there because its not opening. So they piss you off by letting people win the resort lottery, or they piss off someone by making them pay full price for a hotel they didnt want in the first place at no fault of their own. Its a no win.
  18. They expanded the Food & Wine Festival. It opens when Epcot re-opens.
  19. How does Voodoo compare with Duck Donuts? I had Duck Donuts when I went to BGW and they were amazing
  20. Does NOT include the park, yet. Just Darien Square.
  21. Campground reopening June 25th https://www.wkbw.com/rebound/six-flags-darien-lake-to-reopen-campground-on-june-25th-with-extensive-restrictions
  22. Sure does. Its like SF/CF, Walmart or target, etc.
