  1. Yeah, the silence is deafening. How malls were allowed before theme parks doesnt make much sense to me. Were almost at the point where staffing is an issue in a normal year.
  2. Viper isnt going anywhere as long as the park is around. Its still popular, is relatively smooth for an Arrow, and was the parks iconic coaster until ROS came around (and arguably still may be). Its sentimental to the area as many peoples first adult coaster. It also had the record for inversions for a while after it was built. I guess never say never applies but I think it would be extremely bad PR for them to remove it unless it was being immediately replaced. Back to the topic: Big Bad Wolf Drachenfire Dueling Dragons Nightmare at Phantom Cave Primeval Whirl Vortex Disaster Transport Might be one or more from CW but I dont know what theyve taken out since 1999.
  3. Be thankful because it doesnt look like NY parks will be opening this year.
  4. We had 2 days of tickets but only used one. We rode everything that was open (no TTD) and the masks were a sufficient nuisance to say we'll save the other day for later this year or next year.
  5. Im confused on the Ultra Splash. How does it not cause a wave the first time through?
  6. CP's Corkscrew, Predator at SFDL, Magnum
  7. Not unless something goes horribly wrong.
  8. It really is super loud and nasty sounding. Almost have to yell while talking to someone on the midway. Is Apollo's Chariot not considered floorless?
  9. Did you have FL? Otherwise howd you get on TTD and SV?
  10. Smart move, because there are plenty of people out there that will carry around a popcorn bucket and claim theyre eating.
  11. 1. What is up with these timed passes? If you don't get one will you be denied access for the entire day? Or is there a standby line? No standby except the first hour for 100 riders. I went before TTD opened so my strategy was different. Stay on site, enter through the resort gate at 10am and wait in SV's access pass line. Get it and go right in Maverick's access pass line. Now that TTD is open, id go there next get my pass and then MF for pass followed by a standby ride. 2. What are the co-vid19 measures like? Are people following them? Is the park enforcing them? There were some chin strappers, a few nosers, and some people just ignorantly removing them. If an employee sees it, theyll tell you to fix it. Lines are spaced out well, just a few spots with big gaps that can confuse, particularly on Valravn's queue. 3. How are the wait times? We went on a Thursday and didnt wait in any line long enough for me to even look at how long it was. We had to wait for SV to transfer on the third train, about 30 mins for 1st hour MF standby and for a passing shower on Maverick, those were our longest waits. GateKeeper is full capacity and was mostly walk on all day. I
  12. ^ I'd get the access pass then get in the standby line, if possible. Why skip one when you can do both?
  13. Yes. I verified everything and got my parking pass at the front desk at Express. Your wristband is part of it I guess. No health screening at the resort gate because its done at the hotel.
  14. ^ They were due to replace it next year anyway from what I read. Obviously thats probably been put off for now.
  15. Definitely, longest wait was when it started raining as we buckled into Maverick, or when we did standby on MF. Which reminds me to say... your best bet is staying on site if you can. We were in line for SV passes by 1015 from the resort gate. Got those within 30 seconds of distribution starting and went right to Maverick's pass line. Three minutes later we were on our way to MF. Got 12-1 passes for all three and hopped right in the standby line for MF after grabbing our passes. There was no line for MF passes either. We ended up not using the MF passes until 715 or so and by then it was almost a walk on.
  16. Well it was quiet at the park today, which made thing relatively easy. Were were able to ride all the open adult coasters once except Mine Ride (didnt try to), and MF, GateKeeper and Valravn twice. Kids rode Tiki Twirl, Troika and maXair. Another day, another "hopefully tomorrow" for TTD. Heres a pic of socially distanced MF.
  17. Primeval Whirl and more surprisingly, Rivers of Light confirmed to be closed permanently via CM memo
  18. We sat down and buckled in on Maverick at 1235 and it opened up. Was down about 15 minutes and started rolling again. Only drizzle since. Unpopular opinion: Melt was garbage. Fried mac and cheese bites were great but our entrees were blah.
  19. Got all three for 12-1, plus a standby ride on MF.
  20. TTD not opening today either. Still testing.
  21. All set! SV and Maverick first it is, MF if we can
  22. Good news from the front desk at Express... they said we get to park and enter through the Magnum gate
  23. Hmm. Might have to wait for the 330 issuance for one of them. We rode MF last yr so that can wait for Friday if need be. What time did they start distributing? 11 on the dot? Hard part will be getting my kids to hustle lol.
  24. Just got here myself, your posts give me hope that TTD will open by Friday. It was down long term when we were here last year. Were from Western NY too, wonder if the people you met at TP was anyone I know. My plan is to gather access passes furst, MF, Maverick and then SV.... think itll work?
  25. Reminds me of the knucklehead that jumped into Jurassic Park River Adventure at IOA to grab his hat.
