The Cirque Du Soleil show at DTD kicks much ass, you'll enjoy it. WDW in November is usually pretty dead, so you should have an excellent time there. Enjoy! dt

Well, it was a family owned place, and I guess the rest of the family has no interest in running the park. I have not heard, but I think the race track is going to stay in operation. This was a park I visited a lot as a kid since I grew up in the area, and it's unique and bizarre charm will be missed... dt

Awesome pics! And yes, it is IMPOSSIBLE to hear on your phone when the satanic Blues Brothers show is going on. I just kept walking farther and farther down the street to try and get away, then finally just told Mary to call me back when it was over! Looking forward to the Disney pics... dt

May I just say that this was likely the best time I have ever had in Florida! Other than it being really humid, the weather was really great, the parks were not all that crowded (except HHN. Anyone that thinks you should do this event without an express pass is, um, wrong!), BGT was actually fun for the first time ever, the food in Epcot kicked complete and total ass, and the company for the weekend was great. I took some pics, that I'll post with a TR later. Including a long discussion about the downfall of Mythos... dt

I was in there over ten years ago, as some computer graphics company had rented the place out for a trade show event. I thought it was really creepy and it seemed sort of dirty and run down back then, so I can only imagine what it's like now. I don't think it will be missed... dt

I've stayed at the Holiday Inn by SFMM. It was nice and clean, and they had a decent free breakfast. I've also stayed at various places around the LA airport, but I wouldn't recommend them unless you're going to stay at one of the better places (like the Hyatt). Hotels around the airport can be kind of a dump, depending on where you stay. So I'd recommend staying near SFMM. Another plus to staying there is Valencia is full of all sorts of restaurants, so you'll have no problem finding a place to eat. dt

^The biggest mistake of the whole trip was no on getting Joey's near death experience at Toverland on tape! All those cameras and no footage. We should all be ashamed. But at least Joey didn't seriously hurt himself. If he did, we probably would have had to spend much of the day filling out paperwork, which would have been a drag... dt

I had an odd double feature yesterday: A History Of Violence - Mary and I went to the movie theater for the first time since July! I thought this movie was excellent, probably one of the best things I've seen this year, though I thought the ending was a bit...odd. I did enjoy the fact that I could not predict the entire plot of the film within the first five minutes, unlike pretty much ever other film. I need to track down the graphic novel. Oh, and based on the previews before the film, we may not return to the theater until 2019... Alien Vs. Predator - Oh, I knew this would suck before I watched it, but when I saw it on the HBO schedule the other day, I had to record it. Wow, it was stupid. There were so many interesting ideas that they could have used here, but instead we get this two hour pile of nonsense. I was amazed at how bad some of the effects work was. There were plenty of unintentional laughs, though. dt

Invertigo. Boomerangs are the suck. And I've only made it on one GIB, the one at SFGAm, though I have seen all three Deja Vu's not working when I've visited parks! Honestly, I didn't find DV to be all that amazing over the other boomerang experiences, it was just way taller... dt

Roth kicks ass! I knew the Steelers were doomed when Maddox took the field. I think the Steelers is the team we're going to try to catch on our "go to one out of town NFL game a year" trip next year. We did Green Bay a few weeks ago, which was amazing. I need to post the pictures at some point... dt

^You and me both, Kip! Yesterday the Notre Dame and Penn State games were on at the same time, so we went to a sports bar to watch them. Both teams were SCREWED by crap officiating! What a joke. Mary has to go to the UK today, so I will be really bored for the next two weeks, except when I go to FL for a few days... dt

Supposedly Hershey went before the local board and proposed adding seven water rides, and the plan was turned down. Sounds like the waterpark idea isn't going to happen any time soon... dt

To this day, the worst linejumping I have ever seen was at Lake Compounce. I was amazed at how obnoxious the crowd was there. Oh, and BGT+Country/Western Day = Horror Beyone Imagination! dt

OK, I think I have now seen the stupidest TV commercial ever. It's for Enterprise Rent A Car, and in the commercial a guy is amazed to discover that you can rent cars at...(wait for it)...THE AIRPORT. I'm not kidding, they make a big deal out of the fact that you can rent cars at the airport. Um, this is new? Is there someone out there that is not aware that you can rent cars at the airport? If so, can they be rounded up and sent to the moon before they infect the rest of us with their idiocy? I'm still stunned by this... dt

I was thinking of posting TRs and photos from our Europe adventure, now that all your photos and videos are posted. Mary took about 1200 pictures, and some of them are really good. Anyone care? dt

I was just commenting on the appearance of the giant rabbit. After all, that was on big ass rabbit! When we put the DVD in, I remarked to Mary that "I hope there's footage of the giant rabbit." And there was! It doesn't take a lot to make me happy... dt

I'm up for Mythos. Or I'll just order food when everyone else is ordering dessert, since I won't be eating that. It does suck that the T&M salad is no longer available, as it was the best one ever. How expensive can that dressing be? Is there space titanium or some other rare ingredient in it? You can't tell me there is some 20 gallon drum generic version available from the local Sam's or something... dt
