The B52's - Roam Means the summer has begun, for me at least.

^ I'll talk about my opinion of the ride when I post the next set of photos - and Neil can chime in at anytime - but suffice to say for now, I really enjoyed it.

So last Wednesday, myself and Neil (rctneil) headed up (down, in Neil's case) to Drayton Manor, to check out the new Ben 10 Ultimate Mission, and generally have a good time in TPR-y company. I make no secret of my general disdain for DMP, but this was probably one of my favourite days at the park - and I'll let the photos - a mixture of mine and Neil's - explain why: The hotel construction looks to be coming on well. This is the entrance. Clearly. And here's the queue building for Ben 10 (photo by Neil)... ...and here's the pre-opening queue. Ride sign! (Photo by Neil) Some decent theming in the queue. (Neil) (Neil) The pretty cool-looking train in the station. (Neil) Whooosh! I'll post some more non-Ben 10 photos later.

Osama Bin Laden killed by American forces

Same - although, having some distance being in the UK helps. -
Tonight, 850 seconds, but only because I'm tired and in need of bed after a long day of Disney nerdiness.

^ Again, Chuck, at least it would have spiced things up a little... I spent my day editing my podcast - 7 hours of editing was a little more exciting than what was on the telly.

Ben 10 Ultimate Coaster, Drayton Manor Park. Easily my favourite 'coaster in the park now. -

Castle to Castle: a Tale of Two Disnerds

Thanks for the comment, it's still pretty thrilling when someone says they enjoy hearing what I have to say, even more so when people subscribe or bookmark us. -
...and actually, I think, my first thread creation outside of the trip boards. So this is what it feels like... Anyway! Some of you know me, and know I'm a fairly nerdy Disney geek - so, in January, I decided to put my nerdiness to good (I think...) use, and started a podcast with my good friend Emily. We try to cover the whole spectrum of Disney, but generally fall into a pattern of films one week, parks the next - our favourite episode so far has been #10, when we delved into the history of Disneyland, and today's new episode (#13) is all about why adults - especially those travelling without children - are often worse repeat offenders, when it comes to visiting the parks, than families. You can find us at http://castletocastle.libsyn.com - we also have a Facebook page (just search 'Castle to Castle'), and can be emailed at disnerds@gmail.com. I'm on a big promotional kick at the moment - I've actually been a little nervous to finally show our little show off to TPR - but I think we've got a good thing going, and I'd love to have a whole load of new listeners from TPR. I know it's not for everyone, but I also know there are some proper Disnerds here...the ghost, looking at you Anyway, please check us out, if you have the time!

There's a CD stuck inside the optical drive of my PC - as in, not just in the tray. My head hurts.

None - that's very unlikely to change. In terms of Jeff Johnson 'I saw it!' credits, quite a few. -

^ Watched Mumford & Sons, Big Audio Dynamite and Elbow earlier - paying for it with exhaustion now!

Same, it looks fairly enjoyable to me, definitely looking forward to checking it/variants out - preferably before they get to the spinning seats stage, as that will be too intense for me. ^ The 'stick' acts as an arm, moving the 'UFO' bit down to ground level to load, then back up for the observation bit - hence why it's called a 'flying island'. If someone knows I got that explanation entirely wrong, please tell me! -
Ever Been The Only One On A Ride?

Been alone on Revenge of the Mummy and Rockit (USO), Viper (SFMM), the travelling Black Hole and Euro Coaster (Hyde Park Winter Wonderland), Pirates of the Caribbean (DLP), Splash Mountain (WDW), and a travelling Wacky Worm/Big Apple at the O2 in London. -

From the video, my favourite piece is definitely Endor, with Naboo a close second. Love the use of different levels and detail, which the Master Builders are pretty adept at if they put their minds to it. -
