  1. If I remeber correctly theres like 50 slides that come off that same tower in that picture above.
  2. I've actually known about the LIM waterslides for awhile now. But I can't wait to see this LIM slide in action, it sounds really neat. The pitures I've seen of it so far, this thing looks really technological, with all kinds of wiring going on. According to ProSlide at WWA, all they said is that this thing goes uphill "fast" when compared to other uphill water rides.
  3. You know one of the things I like the most about Holiday World...Whenever then win something or have a press release referring to something positive at the park, they always thank their employees in them. That's one thing I think other parks should do.
  4. Well I guess they see it as, when your 2 Billion in debt, whats an extra 300,000? I don't really think this was the best idea, not too sure what they were thinking here. They had to know this was going to piss off a lot of people.
  5. Yea maybe the shows are taped one day in advance? who knows I guess we'll find out soon enough
  6. Its not filming a lifeguard sitting on a chair all day, like I said it will be just like Laguna Beach but filmed at a waterpark. More like following the staff around as I'm sure they all hang out together, date people they work with, which leads to drama with other employees etc... I don't think it will be boring at all. Like I said I think its a really good idea
  7. Yea from what I get this show will feature more about people at the park who hook up and are dating etc...Kind of like a Laguna Beach at a waterpark. Do I think its a good idea? Yes. I work at a water park and know all too much about the drama that happens. But the funny thing is that I've been talking about a waterpark based reality show for years now...its almost like someone stole my idea... Later, Chris
  8. Keith really does an awesome job, each time they just seem better and more realistic, it's amazing. Although I've often wondered how much he makes doing this? Later, Chris
  9. The action river at my park is fast, has rapids, spray effects and actually can be converted to allow for kayaking. If I get a chance I'll post a pic or 2.
  10. It almost looks like that piece could be for the transfer track possibly? I say that only because all the pieces under it look like transfer track.
  11. Your best bet would be to get some kind of engineering degree from college. A mechnical engineering degree would be best. And if you couldn't get into the industry, a degree in that really comes with a lot of options. But like mentioned its hard to actually get into these companies. Starting your own company isn't a bad idea, but it would be too hard to get yourself out there. You have to have someone trust you enough to buy that first coaster, and once they do it has to be awesome to get others to follow.
  12. Not to be all mean, but theres a bunch of threads on this topic on this site already. If you have a PC Adobe Premier is really good, but If I can use a MAC I like to use Final Cut Pro, and Motion for graphics. I actually perfer to edit on a MAC only because I like Final Cut Pro a lot. But with any of the programs I mentioned be prepared to spend a lot of money.
  13. Those "Tubes" are for drainage, I'm sure of that.
  14. Well from those recent ariel shots, I tend to believe that this ride will have some sort of water feature in it. That area in the middle looks like it could have a lake. All those PVC pipes lying there is what lead me to that conclusion.
  15. Does it really matter what they are getting? So it looks like another roller coaster can't everyone just be happy about that and wait for the announcement. Theres no need to be yelling about what they are getting, we'll find out soon enough. Oh and just for the record...Mr. Kinzel ha never said in any interview that he wanted to, "Go out with a bang." or anything along those lines. It was a something someone posted somewhere and basically made that up.
  16. Wow i find it surprising that they already have track on site. It just seems really early in the year to already have track for a ride thats going to open next year. I'm kinnda getting the impression that this thing will be rather big...Anyone one else agree with that?
  17. I really don't think they are building a Wild Mouse. I do find it funny that they are now dropping hints like Holiday World first did before they announced their new coaster.
  18. My personal favorite is Final Cut Pro but that for a MAC system only. If I have to do editing on a PC then I use Premiere. I like Premiere but I just like Final Cut better. Between the two I like Final Cut Pro more but part of that is on a MAC you can use Motion as well, and I really like that program to make really interesting effects.
  19. Ok sorry for the double post but I did a lot of researching this morning, and this is a common problem it seems like, and there are some ways around it. I think it has to do with what type of file system your hard drive is using if its FAT32 on a Win XP System there is a 4GB Avi limit, but if you use a NTFS system it is unlimited for Avi's. To fix it I read you can use this program called Vitural Dub, to segment your files so that you can save them on the Seagate drive. I havn't tried it yet, I will when I get home so I'll post it later if it works. I guess you could always change the file system but I don't know if thats a good idea, as I have to use my external HD on Mac's and Pc's.
  20. Yea I also have a SeaGate...So it sounds like that it the problem. So I'm guessing what DenDen said is the problem. Question is, is it fixable?
  21. Yea none of those worked, apparently what I found out was that my external hard drive can ony take an avi file up to a certain size, so I will have to re-edit my videos so that I can get them onto my external drive. Or I could re-capture in segments, but I think that will take longer...
  22. Alright, I'm so sorry for the two new threads lately relating to Computer Problems, but I don't know what I ever would have done had this place not solved my other PC problems. So I captured 3 DV tapes worth of stuff, and their currently saved on my Computer as 3 Files, One is 10.3 GB 10.7 GB 5 GB. I need to get them off of my Computer Hard Drive and onto my external hard drive. My external Drive says it has 130 GB of free space but yet when I try and copy those 3 files it says I need to delete stuff to copy them. I know that my external HD has more then enough space to hold them but I don't get why its not letting me move them. Any Ideas???? Thanks a lot, Chris
  23. Ok, So then Adobe should let me capture the entire tape then without having to break it up into smaller parts first?? Like capture all 60 minutes in one hunk? Because when I've captured in the past, I had to break it up into a bunch of different segments. I'm not totally familiar with Adobe Premire, as I normally use Final Cut Pro, but Adobe is what I will be using to capture this time.
  24. Hi everyone I have a question, if everything goes as planned this weekend I'll have like 3 hours of Mini DV tape captured. What I wanna do is get my tapes directly to a DVD, somehow, but I don't know that fastest way to do so, I'm told that I can expect to spend like 3 hours capturing 1 hour of tape. So I guess I'm wondering whats the fastest way to do so, do I have to set up a bunch of different segmented clips, (like a min or so long) or is there a way to just transfer my entire tape at once without dropping a lot of frames? I have Adobe Premier so that is probably the program that I will be using...if anyone has any advise I would love to hear it.
  25. Yea I myself can say that I feel really nervous and guilty after I buy something. It seems to me that most people feel proud, but for me I just feel bad about. I don't really like it at all, but its interesting that others are doing research in this...
