  1. Hey ppl, I know this has probably been asked a countless number of times..But what should I expect at CP in the beginning of june, crowdwise? Are they bad? If they are should I plan to visit a different time, and if so, when? --Cody W
  2. uhh...lets see, january 20th...so I'm aquarius I guess!!
  3. ^Yeah, I think everbody that lives within a reasonable distance from it has done that. I like The Patriot more than Desert Storm, I always get off the ride laughing. Although, the way it slams into the brakes is just painful. I find my thrills on Sky Diver though, although, if and when this new park opens, that'll probably change. I also like freefall....but it hasn't been open the past few times I've been there.. (has it been open at ALL lately?) --Cody W
  4. ok, well, I think it was about mid-2003, and I had an urge to find random reviews of parks. I searched google for "Reviews of Amusement and Theme Parks" and I originally found theme park critic..I got bored with that, so I came here! I've been following the many adventures of Robb & Elissa since, and as of the last 3 months or so, I've been back here about 10 times a day, checking for new vids, and interesting posts. BTW, if any one's ever in AZ, and wants to hang out or sumthin, let me know! --Cody W
  5. Ya know, if this happens it'll be awesome. Then we wouldn't have to drive more than 5 hours to get to a park with more than 2 coasters. I don't think this is the park they proposed to be over by Cricket Pavillion, theres not enough land there. Hmm, maybe it'll be over in the westgate complex with the stadium and the arena, that'd be awesome! I'd live 5 minutes from an "amusement resort" for once. Yay. I'm still hopeful for the park by the pavillion and the one in williams, I just hope they do better than legend city did if they do happen. Hell ya know, a park besides castles n' coasters is awesome. 3!?! Well thats more than awesome! Even though it'll prolly be vekoma, its still better than the hopkins scrap metal in CnC! --Cody W
  6. ^ hey, when ur from phoenix, any place with a park with more than 2 coasters is worth a move. have you seen our selection of coasters? lol..impressive...not!! http://www.castlesncoasters.com
  7. Ya know...I personally would love to live in california, just for the parks, but other than that..I think it would just be a hassle. Plus, I don't think I'd like to leave, with my WHOLE family living here in phoenix, and I mean, Phoenix is a pretty cool place too.. AND the average house here costs about 250,000 TAKE THAT CALIFORNIA!!! Now if only we had coasters...I'd be happy.
  8. Ok, so about 3 o'clock we (me and my mom) get to the park, I was like melting. We get in line to get our all day passes, and the guy in the booth had no clue what he was doing. and he kept getting on the phone and ignoring us. When we finally got our passes, we went and immediately tried to get on Desert Storm. Well, the idiot guy in the booth evidently didn't activate them, so when we put them into the little machine, we got nothing, I was already pissed at the park, amazing, it happened so fast. So we went and complained to guest services, and they, eventually, gave us brand new all day passes, that worked. So we walk back over the bridge to Desert Storm, and finally get on, this was my moms first ride, and she was scared out of her mind, but she loved it! lol. Usual roughness, but not as painful in my special seat. Seat 4-B! yay! Since I was melting, we went over and got some drinks, and then we went to ride The Patriot. A small kiddy coaster, but man, that thing is awesome, I think it beats Desert Storm, lol. As usual, we sat in the front, and just enjoyed the ride, it feels pretty fast, even though it really isnt. After a fun ride on The Patriot, we went over to Magic Carpet, a Musik Express type ride, but faster than the rest, and it goes backwards too...this thing is so cool, I love the force, and the backwards part. It has little hills, but its a shame you don't get any airtime from them. Soo...I felt kinda daring today, and since they usually scare me, I was suprised when I actually wanted to ride Sea Dragon, the park's giant swinging ship. Well, the last time I rode this thing, I was scared out of my mind, but this time, it wasn't that bad suprisingly. Of course, I still don't want to ride in the very back, thats like near vertical by the end of the ride. Ok, so once again, it was time to ride Sky Diver, the new drop tower. It's 120 ft tall, and the tallest thing in the park. This ride is unusual for a drop ride, theres like no warning for the drop. You just get to the top and your let go, instantly, its like so suprising when your on it, and its quite scary for me lol. Then we went and rode Desert Storm again, in my seat..more fun fun fun. Ok, so here's bad thing #2..I walked around for a while, taking pics of the rides, and the park staff started to yell at me everywere I went. I couldn't believe it, they didn't give me any trouble before, and I wasn't on the rides or anything, I mean, I was just taking pics of the rides, while standing on the ground, it was like so stupid!! So it was about 6 o'clock now, yes, we take our time doing things. We went to go eat dinner. The park's food seems to have gotten worse. My burger was cold and chewy. Just all around yucky. Bad thing #3 After eating, we went to do the rides one more time. Finally we made it to Splashdown, and waited in a longgggggg line. when we got to the station, it was like 8. So, we boarded our log, and off we went, on our hour and a half long ride. We made it just fine through the first drop, and all the way up the 2nd drop. Then we saw that a log, had stopped just before the drop. We bumped into it, and stopped too. We were stuck there for like an hour and a half, I don't know why they didn't get us off..but we were just sitting there, while the people in the little booth right next to us by the drop were trying to figure out what went wrong. Eventually, we were escorted off the ride, and that was that. So we went to get a night ride on Desert Storm before we left, and that was that..yea, its better at night.. So we went home, and just went to bed, that was that, the worst day I've ever had at Castles N' Coasters.. For pics go to http://www.rcfanaticworld.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?p=14#14
  9. I am a student if anybody cares...not that the question was directed to me, but I just wanted to get that in...Challenger Middle School....booo! lol oh, and I think finest hour rocks...but thats just me too
  10. lets see...how do describe coasters in arizona...oh yeah! there are only 2 and they really suck!! Theres nothing else, except for the state fair once a year, which then they only have a spinning wild mouse and that green thing with the sharp turns. But, thats it, the desert storm, and the patriot are the only coasters in the state, and they suck. Castles N' Coasters, which I live 10 minutes from but don't go to because it sucks, is probably the worst park I've ever been to. So, yeah, that describes it.
  11. ya know its sad...my count is like 124...and I've got some of you beat..and I'm only 13! lol, sorry to point that out
  12. I like both...but I would take Intamin over B&M any day. Intamin coasters are so awesome. I'm not a huge fan of B&M, they're just ok, nothin special to me. I mean, if B&M would build something decent like they used to (Top gun & the batman clones for example) maybe they would be a little better to me. But, until B&M does something special again..I won't go out of my way to ride their coasters. YEAH! GO INTAMIN!!
  13. who knows...its a fabri created ride..I think they're evil
  14. yea..sky diver...they said it dropped a little, then stoped at around 40 ft..I hope I never get stuck on a drop ride..
  15. this might sound kinda creepy, but my favorite drop ride is Sky Diver at Castle's N' Coaster...I've been on a ton of em, but I think Sky Diver delivers the best ride. Its suprising really, for a tower thats only 120ft tall. The only one I've been on that beats it is ToT.
  16. ^ Hey!! Give Psyclone a break...its never done anything to you! I kinda like the ride, its not all THAT painful..Damn, I need to move, or six flags needs to build a park here for everybody to come to! ugh!
  17. I dunno..I've had bad experiences at knott's when I've been there on a sunday, but a wednesday at SFMM would be worth it!
  18. ^ I sooooo want to ride phantom's revenge, it looks awesome!
