  4. The latest news surrounding the proposed sale (and its accompanying lawsuits) has been released on multiple news sites. 7. ^Yeah... Somehow, we managed to connect and then there were sparks! Taylor, I did my first TPR tour two Summer ago (and roomed with CTU Agent after meeting him on the trip forum) and since that time, I've met some incredible people from around the world. As long as you have an open mind going in, you'll really find yourself loving the trips. If it gives you any idea, I talk to some of my trip friends daily, and one of them (whom I met on that first tour) actually does a "show" here on the site with me. You never know who you may meet or the experiences you might have, but on a TPR tour, memories and friendships are complementary. And now I feel like a true hospitality salesman...
  8. Without answering for Robb and Elissa, I do want to remind you that the chat room is always open for use. For that very reason, I don't see why you couldn't have an ongoing "coaster chat" here. That being said, I'm not sure how organized you'd like it to be, but the room is there and waiting if you're looking to talk to someone...
  9. A new 3-D model of the upcoming expansion has made its way onto the internet and into the hands of the fans: http://www.stitchkingdom.com/disney-news/theme-parks/3d-sculpture-magic-kingdoms-fantasyland/ Image courtesy of Stitch Kingdom

  12. Discovery Cove has sent us their latest press release about their Valentine's Day packages, similar to those offered in previous years.
  13. Tivoli in Copenhagen has sent us a new press release regarding the addition of Ptezi World to their already famous lineup of attractions.
  14. We now have confirmation that Bryan is in the house... I repeat, Bryan is back in the house. Orlando will never be the same. (p.s. This is a hint at the future...) Stealthy photo taken by the uber-fan, "B-Ryelubber"
  15. I think I value my health too much to risk having a ride collapse under me just to get the credit... I'd sled down my stairs (into the wall) before I'd ride that piece of rust.

  17. There is a live stream being offered right here via someone's iPhone: http://ustre.am/9g4g Jason Garcia of the Orlando Sentinel has reported live via his Twitter that Merlin will receive a $5 million incentive for investing in the site, and the state will help to provide "road improvements" for the surrounding area. He has also reported saying that this will be the largest Legoland, and will open by the end of 2011. We'll have the official news online as soon as the official press release and press reports are posted to the web.

  20. ^I've been thinking about that same figure... The easy expenses that I can foresee include the conversion of Splash Island into one of those newer Legoland water parks (like the one California is soon to open), the addition of the Lego models of the world landmarks throughout the gardens, plus the addition of some well themed flats, and maybe a Technic coaster. I can't imagine based on that quote that the park will include any of the more major additions that Legoland has received over the past five years. In my mind, a Legoland is better than none at all, but that being said, I hope that the reworking can rid the park of the "concrete fair" feel and bring in that excitement and fun that I see bleeding from every crevice in all of the other parks.
  21. Holiday World has sent us this new press release regarding their search for members of a new live cover band for the park.
  22. I would actually love to see a combination made between the three I chose, but I'm guessing that unfortunately, (based on Robb's above explanation) the Donkey wouldn't make the cut. I voted for n7's card because I find that it has the best overall look for a membership card. I voted for J man's because of his use of a well-known TPR "icon" of sorts. My final vote was for jds03's card, purely because I think his logo is the best one I've seen in this contest out of them all.
  23. Disney's largest resort property not tied to a theme park finally has a name! More details continue to trickle in as we get closer to 2011, including the opening of a new resort preview website found here: http://thedailydisney.com/blog/2010/01/disney-names-hawaiian-resort-aulani/ The official Disney Parks Blog has also released an update with some more information regarding the new resort: http://disneyparks.disney.go.com/blog/2010/01/aloha-aulani-disneys-new-destination-resort-in-hawaii/ I've also added some screen captures from the new Disney Aulani website including some concept art and construction photos of the new resort.
