BGWFreak - I think Carowinds has consciously downplayed the fact that Borg is a hand-me-down coaster. They probably wouldn't want that getting out to the public en masse (I can't imagine why it would bother folks, but they love to play the "a BRAND NEW ROLLERCOASTER" angle. But if I was a member of the GP and was told that Borg Assimilator was one of the top ten thrills...I'd quit riding. If that suck-machine is in the top ten, there's no point in bothering with the rest.

Movieguy, you have to remember that half the people who saw BWP thought it was an actual documentary. "No dear, it was just a badly made movie. Everything will be alright." Wow. The auction ends tomorrow and no one has bid yet. The opening price went from $2,500 down to an even grand. The thing is, a grand is a GREAT price for what they're offering. Airfare from anywhere in the US for two folks (that can be $1,000 easy)... 4 nights at the Hard Rock Hotel (again, that would usually cost over $1,000). Length of stay tickets for the parks/Citiwalk/etc. It's actually an INCREDIBLE price if someone can score it for $1,000. I know it's a charity gig, but damn - that's gonna be a STEAL for someone.
