  1. Are those layouts not Batman from SFNE and a vekoma skater or suspended? i know they are just artwork but the layouts are exactly the same lol
  2. Official Release Get your tounge round this one Eejanaika http://www.eejanaika.jp/ the press release can be found here http://www.fujikyu.co.jp/press/2006/0427eejanaika1.pdf
  3. I used to run Fright Time. i still have every single file saved and backed up i just have to find them as i was never good at organising them I have tons and tons of pics i've saved over the years of random searching lol i have quite a few pictures of fantasia special and one or 2 of the horror express. ill update this post as i fine them (i really should organise them lol) i shall upload them as i go Fantasia Special First up is this pic. one of my faves This coaster must be one of the few to do the loops after the corkscrews Horror Express The ride now has a yellow and green paint scheme I shall search for more once i get the asian character sets installed on sunday. having a bit of trouble at the moment lol
  4. lol i tried that last time ed, when we were there with Big Jon. One of the scariest experiences of my life... Do the ride ops on Rollercoaster check you have put them on now?
  5. Heya. On my random travels around the world of the internet i came across this little company. They seem to produce a variety of other peoples rides as do alot of companies out there. However this one provides an english site for its customers... http://www.chinajuma.com/en/index.asp However its translated Terribly.... For example. Click "Atomic Coaster" on the right and read the write up. Which starts off with What the?..... Anyway ive been in stitches for a good 5 minutes so thought id share. The Irony is if you translate their Chinese page with bablefish it actually makes sence... Gotta give them credit for trying but.... well.
  6. Hey Nice update you must have almost all RCCA coasters now. Magna Collossos and Montezum are the only 2 i can think of I've got to go out to madrid over the summer to do some work so im thinking of hitting these 2 parks. anyone know how easy they are to get to by bus/train? Cheers Dave
  7. Chime Long Paradise is now open Some nice pics here The Half-Pipe The Motorbike The Intamin Looper (from the offcial site) More Soon
  8. where would be the fun in that? same culture. same people. Japan would be much much more fun in my opinion. Tokyo is currently on my to do list as well as somewhere in japan a bit more less westernised i guess. Anyway the rides looking pretty damn cool. love the way those outside ravens always look.
  9. Brings to mind something i was thinking of the other day what to people think of the removal of B&M's mid courses? almost every coaster they built for a prolonged period of time had one. Untill recently when they seemed to of scraped them i know some people think they kill a ride and some like them for a pacing point of view.....
  10. Heya all back from my (sort of working) hols. Came across these this morning from the Kazu Forums http://bbs1.whocares.jp/bb/view.jsp?bbn=drkssk http://bbs1.whocares.jp/bb/pimg?bbn=drkssk&ccid=270&tp=jpg http://bbs1.whocares.jp/bb/pimg?bbn=drkssk&ccid=269&tp=jpg http://bbs1.whocares.jp/bb/pimg?bbn=drkssk&ccid=271&tp=jpg cool news on being published. cant wait to see them
  11. No problem Heres a few more Edit: sorry forgot to add the credit. got those from here. http://bbs6.fc2.com/php/e.php/coaster/ a very nice little japanese forum.
  12. After sitting with martyn on Collossos's lift hill for a couple of hours i got an exit pass to ride this thing. (and a cold grrrr). great ride. much much better than i expected. but having not ridden any launched coaster bigger than this i cant really compare... but it does knock ritas socks off.
  13. Cool pics robb Just heading to TP myself... need sleep.... but need rides more.... didnt know there was a 7AM as well as a 7PM.... crazy stuff....
  14. bah... just fill them with sand too... sand bags never cause noise complaints. Anyway seriously it sounds like EP is trying to keep up its good relationship with its neigbours. which is all good. it doesnt really detract from the experience either. its just not pretty
  15. And up we go Looking very stealth-esque.
  16. Everland is apparently getting Koreas first wooden coaster seen it in a couple of magazines and sites now
  17. Heya i apologise for double posting. but i feel its sufficiently different and after the first post to do it lol. and im writing this while researching it so i can update as i go this ones seems to of popped out of nowhere http://news.tom.com/1988/20050429-2090813.html using the chinese text for the park name it comes up as at http://www.bs-amusement-park.com/ http://rcdb.com/pd609.htm so possibly the 2004 coaster with little info? im not sure but could this be a custom SLC? the bottom one doesnt look right at all and the drop goes the wrong way? Edit Got it http://community.webshots.com/album/429679520dDDwPi plenty of pics here. and 3 new coasters not on the RCDB. this is another chinese park thats had a bit of an explosion in the last few years. the slc looks cool Shijingshan
  18. Another quick update some pics of chime long The new joint record holder for most inversions i like the colours on this version Nice setting too From what i can see here the design looks simular to the toverland version a couple more park pics here http://gd.sohu.com/20060213/n241805542.shtml http://community.webshots.com/photo/447045851/1447059592078060474NbBsFj this picture struck me as odd. same colours as the motorbike but indoors. i believe this is their vekoma kids coaster. so it uses the new track system like bobbejanland (Sp?) and everland do. http://www.parksmania.it/english-news_news_chime-long-night-zoo--intamin-10-inversions_1698.html Another shot of the looper here
  19. Hmmm ignore this topic Mod delete if poss thanks
  20. maybe its just perspective but the closes support seems pretty tall. and theres 3 supports between that and the drop. theres only 1 between the top of the drop and the lift on X.... looking at it though im sure its perspective
  21. Just came across these. Looking good. and HUGE. what strikes me as odd is the size and distance of the left hand pillar support in comparison to the drop support...
  22. Thought this story was quite cool. completely pointless but amuseing none the less. http://www.city.asahikawa.hokkaido.jp/files/asahiyamazoo/index.html (japanese) This enclosure is being built at asahikawa zoo in japan and features mock coaster track as a play thing. http://www.city.asahikawa.hokkaido.jp/files/asahiyamazoo/zoo/siikunews/tinnpanomitinori2.html http://www.city.asahikawa.hokkaido.jp/files/asahiyamazoo/zoo/siikunews/tinnpanomitinori1.html a few model pictures on this page...
  23. the official site has a (small) webcam up now. Although you'll need to be a night own to catch anything interesting. Ever wanted to see what a coaster in a cage looks like
  24. Heya those links are to the first Happy Valley park. the new park is http://bj.happyvalley.com.cn/ The ride page being here http://bj.happyvalley.com.cn/park/equip/index.asp (the 2 coasters you posted are cloned at this park but with new themes. (see earlier construction pics))
  25. Thanks very much. One thing i have learnt is how to navigate chinese sites That may be the worlds slowest web site from the UK end of things. Some of the news paper pieces are pretty cool. looks like everythings ready to go for next month Is it me or are they getting an Intamin Half-Pipe too? alot of the artwork certainly looks like it. (see attached pics) Edit: after a bit of discussion with Duane at the RCDB we decided for now its a half-pipe theres a small synopsis of the ride calling it "skyscraping slide".
