  1. The first airtime hill and stengel style dive are up and the first drop and worlds tallest loop are on the way up now. Source
  2. There are actually 3 operating Maglevs in the world now and I've got to ride 2 out of three so far . The Chinese one between Shanghai and the airport is the crazy highspeed one which R&E have ridden before and now has a view of the Disney resort in the distance. Incheon airport outside of Seoul in South Korea has a low speed maglev system which runs from the airport around the Island. Japan has another low speed maglev in Aichi which operates as urban transport. Both Changsha and Beijing in China also have low speed urban maglev lines due to open before the end of this year or early next year. (I saw the Changsha one last year and it looked pretty cool) Nothing to do with coasters. I just think Maglevs are cool
  3. Looks what we have here Round About is starting to go up at Asian Park in Da Nang (A different park to the B&M but owned by the same company) Source
  4. Mid 2015 Update I have gone through the list and updated it massively. A fair few of the parks are now open including a good chunk of Fantawild's phase 2 parks. In the same time period Happy Valley have announced a load of their phase 2 parks so for the first time in a while there's now more Happy Valley parks than Fantawild parks planned or under construction. Eontime Mall, Romon World and Lewa World are also now all open and have been shifted to the completed section. The first Wanda park in Xishuangbanna is almost complete and due to open in the next couple of months and the Wanda parks in Nanchang. Harbin, Hefei and Wuxi are all now vertical. Interestingly almost all the parks are going up hitch free so far. The 2 exceptions are Huayi Brothers Movie World and Hainan Space World which seem to have stalled. However there's no sign of the boom slowing down yet with even more parks on the horizon so keep an eye out here for more.
  5. The RCDB Premier comment was a mistake and has been fixed.
  6. Nice to see this park up close. Came across it a couple of weeks ago and thought it looks fairly nice for such a small park in China. Those little Golden Horse family coasters seem to be catching on too. Selling fairly well.
  7. Wow... That went up fast and it looks insane. Certainly elements of Sky Rush in there.
  8. This is one of the weirdest things I've ever seen. But a new water park called Amazon Jungle Water Park has opened in Sanya, China. Located on the holiday island of Hainan at the Mangrove Tree resort this slide seems to involve people sitting down while a whole load of water is dumped into their back, thereby firing them into the swimming pool. I can't actually view this video below as Youtube is blocked on the vessel I'm sailing on but apparently it shows the ride in action.
  9. Looks like Flying Aces has gone vertical. First few supports are up. Source
  10. Better image of the new Intamin water coaster at Wanda Xishuangbanna. Looks quite nice actually.
  11. Have we got any turkish speakers on the forum? Theres a loads of news articles which seem to say the project has been cancelled. Such as http://www.radikal.com.tr/cevre/ankaparka_danistaydan_ret-1403179 http://www.ensonhaber.com/ankapark-durduruldu-2015-07-24.html and http://www.sabah.com.tr/gundem/2015/07/24/danistay-ankapark-projesini-iptal-etti# Unfortunately the translations I've read don't really make it clear whats going on. This seems like an odd decision with so much on site and already built including an Intamin 10 looper. Anyone able to shed a little light on this?
  12. So we know where that track went. This is from USJ
  13. Chinese media is reporting Universal Studios will begin construction in October. As mentioned before the park will be built in Tongzhou to the East of Beijing and won't open until 2019 but looking forwards to following construction. Sources News.focus Travel.People
  14. GCI also just announced a new ride for Europe at Plopsaland and its rumoured Holiday Park will get one too the year after. A good year for wooden fans in Europe
  15. This one game out of nowhere http://rcdb.com/12954.htm No news on size of layout but the park has confirmed they are getting a new wooden coaster. With the Irish one and the new Plopsaland GCI its good news for European wooden fans. Edit: oh damn just realised theres already a topic. I searched for one but spelt the park name incorrectly. Please delete
  16. Looks like this is going ahead as we have construction Not much yet. But one for those crazy mud enthusiasts out there. Along with this newer piece of concept art Looks like a god awful render of a Mega lite to me. OCT have history with mega lites as they currently own 2 at Happy Valley in Shanghai and Chengdu so certainly a possible ride for this park.
  17. As has been mentioned. Most coaster manufacturers would produce one if asked I image As for Vekoma. Here's something from way back when, when the Tilt Coaster concept had just come out. It never happened but Vekoma would certainly build hypers if requested.
  18. Funny you should say that. Just found this.
  19. Correct. Jinan opened about a month before this with a different layout. (it can be seen in the fantawild thread here if you wish to compare) There is a third looping woodie planned for Ningbo but it is a clone of the Jinan one. Apparently the Wuhu one is the favorite among M&V employees. Can't wait to get back and try this.
  20. New pic of the Xishuangbanna Flyer. Shows off the layout well. it's pretty short but love the colour scheme
  21. So as DisneySea closes one Storm Chaser ride another opens on the others side of the world. Coincidence? Looks like a good ride. They have done quite a lot with a fairly small ride.
  22. Some more close ups of the Wanda Nanchang Coasters including that incredible looking Intamin hyper coaster and the massive GCI Viper. Source Those are a few weeks old. I found this image of the Intamin with the drop and first overbank done but its tiny. However that drop.
