Are you ready to see the view from the top of drop line at Dollywood??? I got permission from one of the folks at Dollywood that took these pictures today from the top! ENJOY! Look at that view!!! I see mountains Is that lightning rod over there!!! Looks like the mine! More wild eagle and mystery mine Look lights! ThunderHead looks a little small Long way down!

Now this is the kinda wait for LR I like!!!!!!!! No downtime so far today that I've seen.

I live in upstate New York and drive 14 hours twice a year to go to Dollywood. Leaving to come down Thursday morning, can't wait! Cades Cove is a must in the GSMNP. The Chimneys and is also awesome place in the park to see the MTN's.

I am taking the family there for 5 days in June and we live in Las Vegas. But there's probably some TPR members that have traveled from Europe or Asia to visit Dollywood. Awesome been to Vegas twice. I have family out there. Red Rock Cannons is so awesome. Enjoy the mountains of East Tennessee.

I'm amazed at how far folks will travel to come to Dollywood. I have lived within 45 minutes of the park for over 38 years and I was wondering what is the longest distance anyone's has traveled to Dollywood?

Dollywood is a special place that everyone needs to come to at least once!

Today was the best day I've had at Dollywood since last year! No lines and a little sunshine made things great! Rode every coaster and a few rides in country fair all within 2 hours. The new setting area is really nice in country fair and the rides all seemed to working well and a couple with new paint. The 2 new rides look like they could be ready to test within the next couple of weeks. The kiddie coaster just needs some theming and a station. Drop tower has a station and just needs some theming!

Pictures of the o crap bars and wait times. Bonus picture of the new drop tower from tramstop A. Both trains running nicely l. Biggest problem is big folks not fitting. Taking 4 minutes plus to dispatch trains.

Noticed the other day Dollywood was talking about the Flooded Mine on FB. Lots of shares and comments.

the Heartsong Theatre will be used for Festival of Nations and SummerFest this year with different shows. The old Sideshow Spin spot will now has a covered shaded place with lots of benches to rest and get out of the sun. They are introducing a new time saver arm band this years as well.

Very interesting... I think they would have plenty of room back on that side of the park for some major redesign. The Magic shop could easily be moved to the other side of the train depot.

It looks like from everything on the website including the height requirement for 2017 that the Sideshow Spin Kiddy Coaster will not be returning for this season. This should help open that part of the park up a little! I do wonder why they are taking it out?

I noticed on SDC twitter they posted a picture of the cinnamon loafs that Dollywood sells at the grist mill. Has SDC always sold them or is this new for this year?

Dollywood had a behind the scenes tour today for media. Should have a full report on the six o'clock news. Bad news for those that like those huge slices of Pizza at Lumber Jack. This year much smaller Personal pan pizzas to help make the lines move faster. Also the backstage is being totally redone to be the front porch cafe. Kinda of farm style restaurant with locally sourced products.. They are going over 225 improvement projects throughout the park during the off season. The low end on a project is 5000 and then it goes up from there. Spending a few million total just on improvements to the park. I will post a video report when it is posted on the news stations. Nothing going vertical yet for the drop tower.
