On another topic. Anyone have any 2018 ride predictions? My guess is the new ride will be a dark ride in the old mine and old fun house on the hill. Not sure if it will be a new version of the flooded mine or some new type dark ride. Anyone else have an idea on what may be up Dolly's sleeve for 2018?

I want to believe they aren’t putting it TC to jerk anyone’s chains.. They are doing the best they can to try and get it up and running. Maybe they are waiting on a ride inspector to check the 2nd train and it’s taking longer then they wanted it to.

Well the moose out front finally says CD for LR today.

Update to the island in Pigeon Forge Wave Rider accident. Looks like they are taking it out. Witness said the door opened while the ride was operating. Sound like equipment issue could be the issue. I would buy in advance. They do sell out on the unlimited. I would take the chance for an extra 10, especially on a Saturday. Also if it is this Saturday temps will be very hot. Heat index around 105. If you have a good pass it’s only 40.

It might feel the que, but I have a feeling due to the fast pass getting seats on each train that it’s really slow in the standby line with one train running. Park can’t be that crowded with the other waits being low.

Great to see LR opened with park! But in 55 minutes it’s already over 2 hour wait. They gotta get the 2nd train running soon.

Dollywood needs to invest in a moose out front to let people know that Lightning Rod is not open today.

Dollywood is my home park, but I might make a trip over to the Ozarks for this ride.

The ride maintenance staff is great at Dollywood. Sometimes TC could be adding or taking off a train or a protein spill. Also with the change In temps they change the wheels more often. I don’t think the maintenance should be blam3d for LR as RMC gave it to them running at under 50% uptime from the start.

In 2017 every park should be all over social media. That is an easy way to connect with guest. Come on Dolly I know you can tweet!

Dollywood always seems to rotate big years. Last year was a huge and this year is down. A lot of families buy season pass every other year. Also I think the new kids coaster and drop line was a last minute add to this year to try and help season pass sales. I have a feeling they will do something huge for 2018 to try and get those folks back.

The story has the first hand account that the whole town is on fire. Some folks from around the country hear that and think it worse than it actually is. The whole fake news line was just a joke. Sorry for any confusion.

The national Park Service doesn't want to lose funding or staffing and need to keep numbers high.

I also got the survey yesterday and the Lightning Rod question was strange.

Checkout the time differences on a Friday at 350p. What ride wait time is not like the other. They need to get that 2nd train up bad. Also lines barley move due to the fast pass and disability lines always staying full.

If it's a short TC yes. If they feel it will be take some time then no.

I went yesterday and after a few rides I feel it does seem to let off just a little towards the top. It was ripping me out the first hump, but now seems to be a little more gentle. I can say after that it's is still balls to the walls crazy awesome. It's not being braked at the top, but it does seem to let off a little early now. Please don't let my opinion dampen your excitement at all because it still is the best coaster all around. It still is having some TC time throughout the day, but not as much as before. Still only one train.
