Interesting fun fact... the 2nd Sally Pistolero was installed in Knoxville Tennessee at The Regal Cinema Funscape around 1998. Here is a article about the center and the ride. I rode it once at Media Preview before the place opened to the public. I think it closed in 2000. Dollywood's Media Day Dollywood will open as scheduled Saturday, but it is canceling its Media Day activities Friday "“The exciting economic news we planned to share does not seem appropriate based on what is going on. It doesn’t feel right,” Dolly said. “We need to focus on good health and praying for those who are affected. We know brighter days are ahead.”

Dolly Parton said at the end of her interview the next big thing for Dollywood is adding on to the resort. So expect that to be the big news for next year. Kinda strange to see them selling Time Traveler type hats at Mystery Mind at Dollywood today! (Maybe a hint) jk..... A time traveler type coaster would be nice for the slidewinder location. They could use the train of the mountain to get some huge drops. Also with the next thrill ride being 2021 it would give them time to work on it and even make a connection to the timber part of the park so it doesn’t dead end up there. Just thinking out loud!

Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani enjoyed time with the kids today at Dollywood! Gwen rode all of the rides including The coasters. The only ride I saw Blake ride was Blazing Fury! I feel a new song from Blake coming soon called fire in the hole! Lol

The river rampage at Dollywood was built in-house.

Looks like the pre sale price for next year season passes will be around $126. Last year prices was 108 if you bought them early. They are offering a new 9 month payment plan for those who sign up early to make it only 14 per month per a letter I received in the mail yesterday. Disappointed that they are cutting evening hours next year with the new land being designed to be awesome in the dark with all the cool lighting on the big tree and throughout. Wish they would go back to 10 weekdays and Midnight on Friday and Saturday in the summer. Side note noticed a trend the last 4 days of lightning Rod going TC multiple times throughout the day. Seems to be getting more frequent again. Not a good sign

Tomorrow will mark the one week of LR being back open. As far as I can tell it’s had no downtime to speak of. Are we out of the woods yet?
