  1. Depends on what you want. KI is open an hour later and has more Haunt mazes and better Haunt mazes. Didn't see any shows at Halloweekends when we went but the shows at KI are great. Also: Beast, Diamondback, Timbers, Banshee, Bat, Adventure Express,... are all amazing at night during Haunt. Personally, I think KI has a better atmosphere during Haunt than Cedar Point does. Of course, you don't get Maverick, MF, and the others (except Dragster) but you can go on a summer night during ERT (or CoasterMania!) for the night ride experiences if that's what you're after. But yeah.... after going to Halloweekends once last year and once this year and KI Haunt many more times, I highly recommend KI Haunt over Halloweekends. Of the few mazes at CP, there are only a couple I'd really say are worth waiting a long time for, if any. Let me just +1 all of that, as somebody who is a lifelong CP fan, and die-hard! When it comes to Haunt, or Halloweekends, whatever you want to call it, KI wins easily, in my opinion! RAWKIN gave you a great run down of the reasons why, and I put my money where my mouth is, getting my Platinum Pass for next near through KI, so I got my free visit there this year! I'll be going down this Friday night, and enjoying Haunt for the third straight year. It's SO great! Depending on what you expect from the park, they both have their perks. Kings Island is definitely stronger for the Haunt-related attractions, and doesn't suffer as dramatically from staffing shortages when school starts. However, Fridays and Sundays also seem to be much busier at KI than at CP. Cedar Point is weaker for the Haunt, but as I typically go on Friday, it's basically ERT all night. The Haunt atmosphere is a nice bonus. I rarely go through the mazes.
  2. Oh wow I totally forgot about that. Having that tower in the middle of the park makes changes through the years so much easier to spot.
  3. There used to be props and story elements from Top Gun on the walk back.
  4. I'll stick to my weekdays, thank you!
  5. The Bat currently has the "best" path from the park to the ride, it's the location of the ride that is terrible. Going behind Timberwolf and Congo Falls is 200ft longer than the current path, and you lose the visibility of the ride entrance.
  6. Riding The Bat, then going to the restroom, then riding The Bat again is the same walking distance as a full lap of Dinosaurs Alive. Or, the queue for The Bat is the same as walking form the Eiffel Tower to Diamondback. It's really a terrible location for the ride station. The only ride further from the midway is White Water Canyon.
  7. I haven’t updated from the wanted poster and promo images yet.
  8. If you want to continue in PM. Otherwise perhaps notice the parallel between the behavior exhibited in both circumstances. Either way it wasn’t appropriate.
  9. My money is on Vortex having better ridership due to it's location.
  10. I'm sure that wasn't a political statement.
  11. OMFG.... "Why do you feel the need to post such gross, sexual comments constantly? " To be fair, it's not necessary. But I'm sure you found that same thing humorous when Trump was talking about grabbing groupies.
  12. Does anyone else feel this picture?
  13. I don't know who you are anymore.
  14. Those have been in place for quite a while. That picture does give a better view, however.
  15. Seriously, it's such a good deal because of these two teams this year. Get Ohio people excited for Cedar Point next year and encourage people to come to the football game.
  16. Well if there ever was confirmation of a Giga coming to Kings Island, it's right there!
  17. Cincinnati hasn't looked much better this year. This Sunday is going to be like watching a cripple fight. (South Park reference)
  18. Who says this? I almost never bother with the front row.
  19. I noticed quite a few screamsters socializing with each other more than they were "acting" which I would imagine is part of getting to know how things go on the first night. There were a few that were very enthusiastic and active, but the general mood seemed like they were only paying attention to 10-20% of the crowd.
  20. I should be there tomorrow evening as well. May not get there until 8pm though.
  21. The concert starts in the afternoon and goes well into the evening. The headline bands are usually on stage around 10pm or later. This does draw some of the crowd away from the haunt attractions inside the park. You would have liked when my Bible study group took a trip to Mansfield Haunted Reformatory. You know, Christians are allowed to enjoy various types of entertainment.
  22. This weekend is PointFest, so there will be extra business Saturday for the concert.
  23. It will probably still cost high 6-figure to low 7-figure for teardown, transport, and install.
  24. The tower slide complex has been listed for sale.
  25. How many of these kids bash their heads because they duck trying to avoid getting splashed?
