  1. I was perfectly happy with the Brew & BBQ I experienced on Friday. Considering what the park normally charges for food and beer, it's a great deal. Plus I can stay in Frontiertown between those two pretty nifty coasters near the train station.
  2. If you have two identical days, use FL on the first day to get all the rides, the second day you don't have to worry about anything because you already did all the rides. Just go at your own pace.
  3. Do you recommend us using our FL+ on Monday instead of Sunday then? We bought FL+ when they had the good deal over Christmas, so we will use it one of the two days. As someone who has never used FL on any visit, my advice might not be the best. But in reality, I would decide based on the weather. If both days have similar weather, I would use the FL for the first day, to get all my desired rides in ASAP; then I would be able to relax and pace my day out on the second day.
  4. It's been that way for a while. Sunday (or Monday holiday) tends to be a travel day, so the resort people won't be in the park.
  5. Should have charged him to give his phone back. Maybe then he would have thought twice about riding with it.
  6. It wasn't at Knott's, but the worst line jump I ever saw was about 15 teens cut across the grass and meet their one friend up in the front of the line waiting for X. It was bad enough it was already a 3 hour wait.
  7. Depending on the timing of entering the station, putting the group of 3 with the single in 11 allows another group of 3 to use 10/11 and overlap. Not sure if this is what they were trying to accomplish though.
  8. I wish more parks would allow re-rides if no one is waiting for those seats. Used to happen all the time when I was growing up.
  9. You've put a lot of work into scouting the area. Do you have your notes/map/etc visible online somewhere?
  10. As Leviathan is the king of fishes, so the Ziz is appointed to rule over the birds. His name comes from the variety of tastes his flesh has; it tastes like this, zeh, and like that, zeh. The Ziz is as monstrous of size as Leviathan himself. His ankles rest on the earth, and his head reaches to the very sky. It once happened that travelers on a vessel noticed a bird. As he stood in the water, it merely covered his feet, and his head knocked against the sky. The onlookers thought the water could not have any depth at that point, and they prepared to take a bath there. A heavenly voice warned them: "Alight not here! Once a carpenter's axe slipped from his hand at this spot, and it took it seven years to touch bottom." The bird the travelers saw was none other than the Ziz. His wings are so huge that unfurled they darken the sun. They protect the earth against the storms of the south; without their aid the earth would not be able to resist the winds blowing thence. 11. I think the point being missed is that CP, KI, and CW are all 4-month(+) parks, while Knott's is a 12-month park. So while it has the highest attendance, it also has many year-round operating costs that those other parks do not have.
  12. Who's got the most near the bottom of the list?
  13. That's part of the reason I was curious. I'm sure they could cycle it in the morning before the park opens. But it would be really unfortunate if they're stuck with 2 train op in July.
  14. Out of curiosity, do any of our resident park employees know if they have gotten the parts needed to put Blackjack on the track to start getting cycles?
  15. I was bored today. I used the rankings from the combined results, and only included coasters that had enough riders to be included in the poll. If I screwed something up/missed something, holla! Uh... Vekoma?
  16. I'll buzz past you guys for the shorter line in the 2nd row. I can see over the front anyway.
  17. Okay but if you keep telling people that, I won't be able to sneak in behind the 8-2 people who basically block the 9-2 line so no one ever waits for 9-1.
  18. We're talking about Wildcat right? That thing's been garbage for like 20 years. Wildcat was my #2 wooden coaster before they put MilFlyers on it...
  19. The turn between the first two inversions has the most movement on the ride. But it's also quite isolated from the connecting points, so the movement at the connection is minimal. Unless the ride was causing things to come loose or fracture, there isn't very much to be concerned about.
  20. How is it a terrible name if they already used Behemoth and Leviathan?
  21. Keep in mind this was a few years ago, so I'm not sure if things changed. Just going by how it was handled for me.
  22. Just heard back from CP, their answer was " To redeem your Season Passes, you do have to go to the Season Pass Center. " So, unless I'm told something different at the parking gates, I think I'll drive around to the waterpark, park there then walk to the front gate via the new Boardwalk pathway. The Boardwalk pathway does provide unencumbered access (even before the park opens) from the resort/waterpark area to the front gate, right? I never suggested they would "redeem" your pass anywhere else. Just saying they scanned my receipt at the parking booth and the resort gate. Later in the day I processed my pass (received my card) at the pass center up front. I don't know what they mean by "redeem" in their statement.
  23. You may want to call the park to verify. A few years ago, I let my pass renewal lapse and had to purchase a new pass. They scanned my receipt at the parking booth, scanned my receipt at the resort gate, and then issued a card at the season pass center later in the day when I made it to the front of the park. I'm not sure if this is still an option, but it worked for me between 3-5 years ago.
