I'd argue that Car Meets are worse because nearly everyone there is literally the "look at me!" type. And heaven forbid the car meet is cross-brands so you end up with some Domestic/Import "discussion" that just devolves into childishness. -

I try to avoid it, but I know that I appear visibly annoyed when I hear people in line fawning over rides and spouting stats and such. I don't mind the general conversation about visiting other parks or other rides, but those excessive types drive me nuts. For the most part, when I wait in line I don't talk to anyone. I just observe the crowd, and watch the ride a bit. Maybe that opinion is driven from the fact I work with crowds of people, and don't enjoy people in general. I do enjoy good rides, though. I'd never go to a Comic Con... yikes. -

Oh good, I'm not completely crazy. Don't get me wrong, SV is an incredible ride, but it's not as easy to marathon. I think that's also the reason Maverick never got very high on my list, even though it's a perfect storm of elements. MF has that general "fun" factor without sacrificing intensity, and stays exciting without sacrificing comfort. -
I see comments like this quite a lot. It makes me wonder if Lucas had made the Han Solo movie before Episode I (like he wanted to), would the response have been as negative? Or is this backlash from too much, too soon? Between Rogue One and Solo, these "A Star Wars Story" titles are allowing people who have only seen the Saga films insight into the universe beyond what was presented to the mass audience. I think it's a great way to push the Star Wars universe films away from the Saga and into the rest of the Far Far Away Galaxy. If they started these with "Old Republic" would the causal fans have been as interested, or is it better to gradually introduce them to these stories? I would argue that making the Han Solo movie makes more sense than making a Bobba Fett movie from the perspective of the casual movie goers. As a side note, after The Force Awakens came out, the fans all complained that it was too similar. Then Last Jedi came out and all the fans complained that it was too different. It just tells me that the fans struggle to agree on what they expect from a Star Wars film. As a studio, you are focused on trying to make a good movie that most people will like. But with a fan base as dedicated as Star Wars, you tend to listen to their response. Unfortunately, when those fans are divided, it causes these mixed reviews which don't give the studio a clear picture of what the fans actually want.

Is Michigan's Adventure his too? Wolverine Wildcat is next on the RMC list. -

I'd like to see them get back to 2 trains without incident first. This ride is full of little headaches. -

1. It's significantly dependent on weather. Memorial Day is usually not very busy considering it's a holiday. On average, Tuesday and Wednesday should not be as busy as Monday, but your mileage may vary. The park may or may not have as many employees working Tuesday and Wednesday as well, so the lower business may not be as noticeable. 2. With the inconsistency of operations and the capacity of the listed rides, that's a good plan. Be prepared to make adjustments based on ride availability. 3. I enjoyed biking around Kelley's Island, and stopping at the winery there. Put-In-Bay is good for a tourist and historic spot. You've got a significant drive to the better areas south of Cleveland for hiking and biking. I have never been asked about driving to the back. I usually just indicate to the lot attendants that I know where I want to go. -
Good to know. I've really enjoyed the space/cosmic type films in 3D (Star Wars, Guardians of the Galaxy, Gravity) because of the expanse they give to those scenes. If this movie is really more grounded and personal, I can see where that value would be lost. Thanks.

Was the promo screening in 3D? The trade screening last week wasn't 3D, so I didn't bother going.

I'm guessing there are a few factors in the favor of those shorter lines. - location - lack of other lines elsewhere - general impatience -

They added a corral behind the Haunt building, next to the final section of bunny hills. The Fast Lane queue uses the original station entrance stairs, and a new set of stairs was built for the main queue line. -

I know Google Maps probably isn't the most accurate source, but those supports are 12 ft apart. One is in the middle of the concrete, and one is on each side. That tunnel would be 20ft wide in that case. -

God help me on my first enthusiast event on Saturday. Seriously though, no one on here has been to Coaster Campout? This really surprises me. I have no desire to participate in enthusiast events. And I've heard of CC but I know nothing else about it past the name. -

Nice pics Phil. I like how MF, even from that angle so close to Corkscrew, still ends up taller. -
One might say.... you dont feel so good?

The Fast Lane queue leads directly into the station, separate from the general queue. It uses the original station entrance stairs, with new stairs built for the main queue. -

But I'm not there, how will I know how long other people are waiting for rides? These seems pretty critical for the Social Media Militia that has nothing better to do. It should be their #1 priority. Who cares if SV is open if they can't broadcast wait times? -

Did you read "bigger model?" It's an upstep from that coaster, plus it's suspended, so it gets young enthusiasts ready for bigger coasters like Raptor. Here's a photo of the model I mentioned: I did read that. I also read "Cedar Fair has these at the other parks" and I was pointing out that Cedar Point already had an equivalent to all the other Cedar Fair parks. -

I was thinking more of a Vekoma suspended family coaster instead since other Cedar Fair parks have them (Carowinds, Kings Island, Canada's Wonderland), but Cedar Point being their big park (I guess?), they get a bigger model like the one shown in the video. Something like Freedom Flyer at Fun Spot or Kvasten at Gröna Lund (which I think the model shown in the video was reflecting). You do realize that Woodstock Express is the exact same course as those suspended versions? It’s just on top of the track instead of under the track. -
