Actually we don't know if anything will be closed this year. It was November before they released a map for HITP last year. -

I've had a food idea I've been ruminating on for a while now. One that possibly allows for increased throughput without needing extra staff. Take a page out of a what Amazon and UPS are doing - create a 1ocker pickup service, and you place orders on their app. There are already multiple food items prepared in central locations, and there are already people moving food supplies around basically all the time. Some of the infrastructure is basically already there. You just need a 1ocker design and to design the pickup system (I'd recommend using the app and geofencing and/or Bluetooth LE). Pick your food, pick your location. The app gives you a time and you pay in the app. You could also look at vending machines that cook the food on the spot but employees may not like it. It also creates a single point of interaction that can still clog up. -

Indeed the area near Spinsanity smelled like an unflushed toilet. And yes it actually appears that a paid haunted house is missing this year. The hayride. Were the haunted passes actually $27 last year too? I don't remember that price. -

Why do you say Ninja is a trap? Just because you don't like it, or is there something else I should be aware of? I rode it in the past, it was okay I guess, I don't remember anything about it. That's the brain trauma. You can't remember the traumatic experience. We kid mostly. It's just not a compelling layout. Add to that the lack of a real overhaul and the outdated trains and yeah it isn't really worth the headbanging that can happen. -

I took the same survey and I don't mean to sound like a jerk, but the question actually asked your physical activeness from 1-10, not attractiveness, because the whole thing's about seeing what people drink and how healthy they are, and how they use the Drink Bottle system so they can see how they can improve the system and/or possibly expanding their selection of healthy drink options. The information they get from surveys doesn't include e-mails and they don't see who submits them so they wouldn't need to know something personal like that because it doesn't really have nothing to do with what they were surveying for. Dramatically increasing the number of fountains available for refills has already been a need at pretty much all of the parks (although Over Texas has a ton more food locations than SFSL from what could figure out, even if most are smaller stands it meant they have a lot of smaller lines). If they want to expand the healthy drink options then a reasonable suggestion can be massive expansion of the Coke Freestyle machines - as of right now it is pretty much the only way to get anything resembling healthy in the sports bottles. There are only 7 of the machines in the park total, they rarely turn two of them on. The others are essentially in the two largest restaurants in the park. Those need to be in every larger food location and they could strategically install another couple of groups of them in other areas for self-service. These also need to be refilled with new supplies more often than they are now. I mean they could also offer some lemonade & water dispensers or something instead of Freestyle – but those maybe need babysitting to keep them clean and topped up more than a Freestyle does. -

Some of the archive.org snapshots are incomplete. You can in fact view the Fright Fest page on some of the snapshots. I had luck with March 2012. -

Here's why they won't ever expand the station: Screamin' Eagle is the only coaster with zero handicapped accesible access. It's grandfathered in due to its age. However, if they do any construction to it, they would be required to also make it meet ADA standards. Although it'd be nice to finally get to ride it again, I know it'll never happen. I'd imagine if they'd be going through the effort of expanding the platform they wouldn't be worried about the cost of making the exit comply with ADA guidelines -

They could probably expand the station and keep much of the structure if they really wanted to. Remove the last ramp and then double back the other direction, then you have the space where that ramp was to extend the platform. Little late for a change like this though. Are we sure Eagle can't run in HITP temps or did they just want to plan for a smaller workforce last year? -

That actually looks pretty fun. I can't say that I'm not a little bit disappointed that it's not a watercoaster though. -

We could have a B&M Giga announced and some would complain it isn't an Intamin I'm sure they'd actually have room for a Free Spin somewhere without even needing to remove a ride, it looks like you could work with the area behind Mine Train and Tidal Wave without having to touch either. Maybe it'd even be possible to squeeze one in between the Boss' bridge and the railroad tracks, the only closure would be the Go Karts. I agree. I'd call it best since American Thunder. And the park could use another slide to chew up crowds, Big Kahuna's line is far too slow with the glacial dispatch times and unenforced minimum group size. -

Not sure if that is a hint. It does sound like Six Flags will be using the Hurricane Force name for more rides next year so maybe we'll get something with that name? Great America has been using similar language. Corporate has shown they don't mind using the same names for different types of rides. -

Boy you really do need to be in the Tornado queue to see anything around the Speed Slides at all. I'm not sure that small amount means anything at this point. They could just as easily be mapping the lines for a repair. -

Why? Apparently Blue Hawk is amazingly good. It's not that good, it's a definite step up from when it was Ninja, but it's still the worst coaster in the park, and I'm sort of baffled by the love it has gotten since it changed from Ninja to Blue Hawk, imo it went from a 1 to a 5/6 out of 10. Honestly going from a 1 to a 5 with very little expense ain't bad. It'd probably more realistic an expectation than 2 new coasters at this point. And if you can use the Tidal Wave spot instead for a coaster you get to increase coaster count by one and new trains makes Ninja rideable again. If only they'd listen to the people [emoji38] The opinions of enthusiasts do not always represent the opinions of the masses. I'd imagine you'd get a decent consensus on change it or fix it options if the general public was surveyed about doing something about Ninja. -

I don't know if I want to see Ninja go, new trains without the full refurb could make it better for probably not that much in comparison to typical new ride costs. Tidal Wave should be the site of something really new just because it gets no attention anymore and is nearly wasted space. -

New model Vekoma trains would be nice. Doubt it is happening though. And if we get a Wonder Woman ride I'd much prefer the Raptor Only way I see a Fling replacement in 2018 is if we were getting a flat that fits in that footprint already and they just decide to change the location. -

I'm not sure you'd have to survey that far ahead for a clone. I do wonder if SF GAm might get one though, given their hint on Twitter. Thunder -> Storm is a pretty logical guess. -

That could be true. But they're likely warming the wheels up too, don't want a partially loaded train valleying with riders aboard. -

I'm assuming that by "Catwoman" you mean a Zamperla Endeavor like the one at SFOT. Yeah, isn't that the only ride Six Flags has given the Catwoman name? -

Yeah I don't think Shazam would go anywhere. Too easy to keep it running as discussed before. Although moving it to Fling's spot and putting a Catwoman in that location would make thematic sense (Freeze and Catwoman together)
