That sucker is open just about to the end. At least to the one hour before closing mark. Probably later, but I try to stay away from the entrance and get precious short wait rides in before I have to leave. -

Although at that point there isn't that much path left before you get right back to 1904. Is American Thunder just not possible in the cold? It seems Dollywood and Hershey both run GCIs for Christmas events. Is SFSL prepared to use heaters under stations? -

Has there been any thought on making the weather phase system public? I was in the park yesterday and it would have helped a lot of people if they had an easy way to identify which rides would be open and to know why the order of events transpired in the way that it did. All it'd take is a PA announcement of the level and to have the phase level printed on the site and in maps. Then again how often is this needed? -
Wait you guys want to eliminate Demon? SFSL home park here - I'd kill to have our Arrow feel like yours. Ninja makes you feel like you went a couple rounds with Bruce Lee. It may be an Arrow, but it is a really well done Arrow. I felt pretty good about Raging Bull's airtime. Then again this is coming from someone that has a park with basically zero steel airtime.

thanks for the info - i presumed it would be relatively slower on Sunday. but it was really pretty crowded... For the real reason as to why the park was busy, you can check this webpage. You'll see that Sunday, September 11th was the last Season Pass Bring-a-Friend Free days of the 2016 season. I still would suggest everyone checking that page before planning a trip to the park, because even Bring-a-Friend coupons with just discounted admission can greatly increase attendance. For a very short period (I was listening to the park radio and enjoying the MODOT traffic cams online), the Six Flags traffic was actually backed up onto the highway. For the love of all that is holy, why can't people understand that both lanes of the exit will get you to Six Flags, so use the left lane too....but anyway, the park, under Pete's direction, reduced the traffic significantly by opening the toll plaza, allowing cars to go through without stopping, temporarily. To make sure the Holiday Inn shuttle could get through without waiting 20 minutes they also redirected that into the employee lot, past HR, the train shed, and down a special gate into the parking lot. The riders got some great behind-the-scenes views including a couple cars of the Boomerang train. Thanks Pete. -

Sure does!!!! That little thing is way more fun than you'd expect for its size. Yes, yes. That's what she said. Ok, so I feel like someone should point out that American Thunder won't be open for HIP. According to the thematic map & renderings, the path from Moon Cars too Log Flume won't be open. Remember, there is only about two weeks of true turnaround time from Fright Fest to HIP. Blind Fury has to completely come down and be replaced by some light lighting, in addition to the entire graveyard in the palace garden be removed. The logistics of everything is being planned out meticulously. I'm getting pretty excited just to see the transformation. It is definitely going to be challenging and exciting. Last year, with anticipation of HIP coming, they changed a bit on how tear down happens. So FF can almost completely be taken down and at least moved to the back road in a bout one week now. Then properly storing it can happen later. Fury took a little longer but there is a new plan for that as well. As for American Thunder it is my understanding that that section is still in question. The rides wont be operating most likely but they were talking about keeping the path open as another way to first aid. Also if this is anything like the first year of Fight Nights, they have discussed opening "closed" areas of the park just to help relieve pressure from the streets, even if nothing is open in those areas. So you're saying Log Flume won't be open? -

Fowl Ball wasn't open on Saturday, but almost everything else was other than many of the tiny stands. Yes, it would help move lines along if the refill only drink lines were staffed maybe they could consider turning the fountain around and have it be self-service - no need to staff it. Then again how much extra maintenance would that be? -

That makes sense. I mean why would we even bother trying to match SDC's model? -

At least they didn't call it a spinning shuttle coaster...c Hey, there is still time. Don't give them ideas. Every now and then they STILL call Fireball a coaster. -

I know they were doing that for the Demon at Great America but are they changing the VR across all parks? Nothing was said about TNR at Magic Mountain or the 3 Superman ones, so I assume their staying Either way I rode Ninja back to back 4 cycles in a row and the headset NEVER worked the first time I attempted to try it Thursday. I still feel that pain. They need a better solution for VR. I know that even goes above Six Flags' Corp heads though. -

I always get a laugh out of this threat. A membership is less than $6 a month. You know you're not cancelling it. That's why they get away with the things they get away with. I'm paying for 5. I'd cancel all. PS: In the park today. Freeze line is over 40 minutes because they're running one side. Thanks Pete. -

I think that confirms it. Probably canceling my membership and will be taking multiple trips to Holiday World next year. This park has nothing if they don't have great service. -

I had the same thing happen to me on the boss about a month ago. I set my phone down (along with another person's phone) on the loading station and they handed it right back to me. They said I had to hold onto the whole time, and that leaving items on the loading station was not allowed. I explained to them that I had no where to put it (like a pocket or a bag), but they just said to secure it. I worried about my phone falling out the whole ride. One reason that I believe they make you do this is because they don't want to risk anyone's stuff being stolen, therefore making you hold onto it. In my defense, I didn't visit the park for about 3 years prior to last month, so I was unaware of this. Interesting. Because SF Great America had lock boxes on most coasters for loose articles, and pouches attached to seats on Viper in addition to the boxes on the platform. SFSL is literally moving backwards at this point. -

In contrast how do you think lines will be there at Great America this Monday and Tuesday? Because that is when I'll be there. Last time I went was pre-Ragjng Bull. Hope to ride before VR screws up the wait time. -

Hah. Or teenage girls yelling "OMG we're going to die!" My nephew usually likes yelling "THE WHEEL FELL OFF" on coasters - he decided not tofor a while after Boomerang had its senior moment.
