  1. A better idea would be to move Cinnabon and Caribou Coffee to the Lift as that'll be at the front gate and would provide more indoor dining/seating for the "morning rush". Sweet Spot can then take over Cinnabon in Front Street and combine with Sally's Sweets into one store (which should happen anyway). The Lift can be downsized and put where Caribou Coffee currently is (or it could be eliminated completely and the current Caribou could stay as a 2nd location with grab and go Cinnabon). With the removal of the Baltic Bazaar shops, they'll need to build another Funnel Cake shop. My suggestion is the old barn shaped shop across from the Scandinavian Coke Freestyle. Hope the new facade/entrance for Tivoli Music Hall happens because it'll have a lot more traffic with the new entrance
  2. Blood on the Bayou at WOF is a maze full of eye candy. It is so well done - very detailed. I'm not sure if I would classify it as scary (well at least to me) - but I was so busy looking at everything. The curse of being a teacher in the fine arts.
  3. Are you saying you think this will be a "plunge" as in maybe going into a pool of water or the drop will be covered like Buss Saw Falls? Plunge as in a drop. There may be thematic elements at the top of the drop. No there will not be water
  4. Well that falls in line with the new front gate rumor. I'm not sure about the Sweet Spot going to Planet Snoopy. Not sure where it would go unless they build a new building. It might be a better idea to put it where The Lift is currently.
  5. I am interested in this new gate and why you think it is needed. Who will use it other than the cabin and RV folks? A gate would require at minimum 3 staff entrance, exit and ticketing and sometimes security. That is a lot of staff for relatively few guests. Sandcastle?
  6. Nope. If you go between now and the 21st expect the park to be packed every day. This is Iowa State Fair time and the "SOP" for most families is to visit the fair and also go to Adventureland while in town. Seriously, the parking lot at Adventureland will be completely full and they'll be parking people over at Adventureland Inn as well. So if you do go, be prepared to wait in lines. You'll get to practice being patient. Thank you so much, I completely forgot about the Iowa State Fair! I'm thinking the last weekend of August, that shouldn't be bad, right? I would think it would be back to normal by then. It'll definitely be less crowded on the Sunday.

  8. Although you're joking, you're absolutely correct lol! You know sometimes my sarcasm is so on point I can't even tell if I'm joking. In this case I do feel it's absolutely true
  9. So I predict Cedar Point will receive 2 more coasters before VF gets their next new coaster. What say you?
  10. I'm not saying a coaster is coming, but the front lawn doesn't really need any clearing to house a coaster. The teaser says 4 things. I doubt one is a huge coaster Yeah I know. I'm out of practice, been on Summer Vacation. Give me a couple of weeks of being back at school teaching and I will be on my "A-game" when it comes to dealing with stupid people
  11. Which wasn't any more exciting than Hurricane Harbor... Which is why I didn't even bother mentioning it. That isn't even a little bit correct. HH has nothing on Splashin Safari! That's like, your opinion man. I wasn't impressed to the point I feel the need to return anytime soon. To be fair, I'm not a big fan of ANY waterpark. Well you are entitled to your own opinion just everyone else is entitled to think you're an idiot for having that opinion. It's pretty obvious you didn't even really experience Splashin Safari. The two water coasters alone are worth the price of admission

  13. WHOAAA..... We are getting an alpine coaster in Misery?! You have just made my day. Granted, it's only 33 minutes into Thursday. It's already open
  14. Pssssst. The love is because of the waterpark.
  15. Can the hand me down be Goliath from SFOG?
  16. I missed your eye roll earlier Vonni. My sentiments exactly. lol
  17. Also keep in mind when looking at his photo that the red only represents the cleared area. The coaster will go over TNT and have a station in the area by Echo Hollow's entrance
  18. Personally, I hope they do something more along the lines of Cobra's Curse with regard to the spinning but it's obvious that it will be a teacup spinner from the concept art. Back-to-back seating on the carts. Looks like 4 carts per train.
  19. You didn't think it would be THAT easy to get a hint, did you?
  20. All three concepts have the same tower and plunge.
  21. There's some refreshing here and there but the number of Haunts is not changing
  22. Well you know it will be a high quality ride regardless as it'll be at SDC
  23. It could be one slide if it's a Tornado.... That was my thought too
