  1. It was removed because it had major issues with the engine. It's final season it was down more than open. It used to be where Cosmic Coaster (Wacky Worm) is now
  2. 6pm is normal close other than Christmas and Moonlight Madness
  3. Excalibur - 1 Cosmic Coaster - 1 Steel Venom - 1 depends on crowds High Roller ~ 1 (most common) or 2 Corkscrew ~ 1 (most common) or 2 Renegade ~ 1 or 2 (crap shoot - never know) Wild Thing - 2 (rare 3) Mad Mouse (varies) Yeah I'd say "mostly 1 train" is pretty accurate
  4. Chickies and Petes is counter order with table delivery. No tip needed. Honestly unless you've never been there before, the park is really skippable.
  5. So... Do you think the waterpark will get a clone of OOF's slide tower complex too? CGA is one of the only waterparks in the chain without one now
  6. I guess the real question is "what does Dorney need?" Is it time for another slide? Your flat collection is pretty good. The ride side isn't ever really busy enough to warrant a new coaster. Do you need more capacity in Planet Snoopy?
  7. Nah it needs to go on the other side of the park. Maybe where Cornstalkers is. It'll probably interact with a new front gate too as it sounded like a new one was on tap
  8. They already close off that area for Haunt during the day (hence the Haunt version exit for Timber Wolf). Would it make sense to staff games in the area if ThunderHawk is gone? No it wouldn't (and the area is battened up as in when the ride is down). Besides with the area shut off, they could start construction earlier. The fence could have teasers on it. Regarding Clowns, it may be moved this season. Blood on the Bayou could move entrance to near SteelHawk and exit could go through TWolf's haunt exit if the area is already under construction next year's fall
  9. Just the absolute clueless were claiming a coaster was coming in 2016. Those in the know and ones that follow the park knew that would not be the case. The flyers were always on tap for this year. Originally it was going to be just the flyers and a new gate. The new gate coincidentally is already designed and will be coming in the near future. When the park decided that the earmarked funds were not sufficient to do the front gate redesign the way they wanted the money became available to do something else. It was then that the idea to add to Planet Snoopy came into fruition. After seeing the success KI had with adding the flyers to their Planet Snoopy, the plan changed to locating them there along with adding more kiddie rides (which are cheaper than mega thrill rides - more bang for your buck). Also related is that money also had to be budgeted to continue work on the re profiling of Timber Wolf. The plan is to still take two more seasons to finish the project but there is a possibility of that being sped up. Also unless something drastic happens, look for place making and a new Darkride in Bicentennial Square for 2017. This is supposedly the next "area" that will be upgraded (and falls in line with a future coaster plaza in that area rumor). Oh and ThunderHawk *may* be back next year. Its fate is still being decided. If it is removed, I've heard rumor that entire area might be shut off for 2016 and Timber Wolf would use its "Haunt season exit" where it empties by the Cyclone Sam's exit by Planet Snoopy. Again lots can change between now and the start of the 2016 season.
  10. Wow. A few months ago everyone was convinced that VF was getting a coaster for 2016. Now we gave people wandering if VF will get WOF's used TopSpin and now we are hoping for a new toll booth.
  11. I'm sure it was reactive to Silver Dollar City's Fireman's Landing addition this year, no doubt.
  12. The Air Race? It's like an inverted whip ride Pretty sure Zamperla builds them.
  13. No. We believe we are getting a dark ride which seems to be the case
  14. A small part of me is really hoping for a coaster, but I know its futile. I really wish we could get our hands on a wing-coaster. I may be on one of the few on here that really loved Gatekeeper at CP. Then you'll love 2017 at SDC.
  15. for? Park Announcement for 2016 Capital Expenditures
  16. Valleyfair already has a HUSS Top Spin (RipTide), another one isn't necessary. If anything, Thunderhawk's removal means that RipTide might be on its way out sooner or later. You guys might inherit some parts from Thunderhawk but I'd be surprised if any in the chain last too much longer. Apparently the one at KD is starting to show stress fractures on the carriage. KBF's has been down almost all year. Pretty sure that only leaves VF and CGA.
  17. MAMBA really does need the paint job more than Patriot. Regarding Patriot, RED paint tends to fade the fastest of colors. TBQH, Detonator's hat needs the most attention. It looks horrible. Don't get too cocky. You've been wrong more than correct - not to mention that I added validity to your claim by stating that it aligned with the information that I had received myself.
  18. ^Oh poo on you. I've been at school working all day so hadn't had a chance to check things out yet. With that being said, my "inside sources" as you called him said that ThunderHawk is down for the rest of the season and likely forever. Unfortunate as I hate the park losing yet another ride.
  19. Apparently Thunderhawk is not on the park's webpage or app right now.
  20. He doesn't ride a Tidal Wave boat either but that didn't stop SFOT. Your point is moot but we might as well go full Reductio ad absurdum. Superman doesn't ride a drop tower. Batman doesn't ride under the tracks on a ski lift. Joker doesn't use swinging boats.
  21. Somebody's been reading the SDCFan forums... You? I had to Google SDCFan forums to even see what you were talking about.
  22. Sounds like nothing major for 2016, but Grand Expo is going to get some attention - not sure to what depth though. 2017 is sounding like a big year though and that we should keep an eye on the hill over by Wildfire/PowderKeg
  23. Try reading, the reason is already there in my post that you quoted.
  24. Actually for a cohesive theme it would make sense but whatever
