  1. I don't think anyone disagrees with you, but it doesn't mean it can't happen, unfortunately.
  2. Either way is music to me. I prefer Kingda Ka's hydrallic launch noise more, however.
  3. ? I'm not allowed to talk about the specific pieces shown in the photo? And I acknowledged the transfers in front of the station as always being there, while being rather unique and somewhat odd. I'm struggling to understand what you're getting at. I just felt like if they MOVED the transfers behind the station they would have more room to do something interesting with the pre-lift. Thanks. I am saying that it's not unique, whatsoever. Transfers have been in the front of many stations built before and after Mean Streak. They're probably not moving it to save money on a new transfer house.
  4. Why is this even still being discussed? All the prelift ledgers where in place before even the first straight peices of track showed up. The ledgers clearly showed the elevation changes and shape of the new prelift. Transfers in front of the station and and were never new. I, too, am holding my excitement for this same reason. They could lower the end, raise it, or do something entirely new, like a "Dolly's Humps" style predrop.
  5. This is interesting: their mega coaster advertisement shows vest OTSRs despite their video showing lapbars. see pg. 22 on this thread
  6. I found the math a fun and intriguing read, unlike the last five pages of drinking games and hostile sarcasm.
  7. Did anyone catch that the Vekoma hyper trains have OTS vest restraints? Sorry if this has already been discussed (I haven't been following this thread), but from my skimming back I didn't see this brought up. OTS vest restraints may kill airtime depending on how tight they are.
  8. I am really not sure why everyone seems to think this will be topper track. I highly doubt those track peices we are seeing are for the transfer. I don't think anyone has disagreed with you that the color doesn't make a difference to the ride experience...
  9. A nuetral or naturalistic color adds to authenticity of it being a wooden coaster, albiet high tech. Between Goliath's color and lift structure I have to remind myself it tends more towards wooden than hybrid. While this is the case for a lot of enthusiasts concerning topper track creations in general, Goliath is particuarly subject. I think this is well put. The issue is simply a nuance that RMC has already blurred the lines enough. Orange wooden track and a steel-arched lift structure do not help their case towards topper track rides being instinctively thought of as wooden. I hope I explained the "obsession" as nominal. In the end, both of you see the bigger picture: these characteristics have no effect on the kicka$$ ride expirience an RMC will always deliver.
  10. ^^You are implying you wouldn't like to make it better? I might have made my post misleading. The negativity of my post mostly comes from my negativity towards the Ninja; I have not ridden Demon in a while. Still, either ride would benefit from new trains (if this is even possible).
  11. I would guess iron support at most. My thoughts exactly. Why has everyone oveooked this?
  12. It would be nice to some of the old coat hangers in the chain get the new Vekoma trains. Can / have Vekoma trains ever been used on an Arrow? Also, with this we would no longer need to worry about being defenseless from bracing ourselves while using VR on Demon and the Ninja at Six Flags St. Louis. Jokes on you fools who try VR
  13. ^But Colossus was already a crap-show and uneventful.
  14. I absolutely love how there clearly are railroad tracks in the foreground to compare to. Never change, Tony.
  15. 30+ min? Pff. I was there today and it had atleast a 45 min wait when I rode it mid-afternoon. I passed by it later on the train and saw that the line had effectively doubled, with all switchbacks being used. Yuck. Early afternoon today was fantastic: everything in the back was a 10-15 min station wait up until 3ish.
  16. I doubt we will ever see a yellow RMC as yellow paint fades and wears relatively quickly. If Wicked Cyclone was blue I would have been very satisfied.
  17. I LOVE the color! I find it amusing that even when Cedar Point is finally going to build a brown steel coaster they are going to be the stubbron b*stards they are and include a shade of red to it.
  18. ^I drove by around 6:00 AM, before operating hours. I wouldn't expect it lit up at any time during ir near operating hours, but I would expect the lights possibly still stung up.
  19. I happened to have driven by the park this morning and saw the HITP Christmas tree already lit up. Do they leave it up during the day? I didn't notice it Sunday. I had a pretty decent time at the park last Sunday. Blue Hawk somehow became my first ride of the day. I guess I just needed something to start the day quickly. I was a little pissed that I kept getting assigned the front row on Goliath, being a single rider. On the third time I was able to get the back row and finally was fully able to get my airtime fix on. It might have been my third visit, but I finally rode Monster Mansion. It was pretty cool. Superman in the front is a must-do. From now on, I'll be recommending my friends only bother their time with that ride in the front. And holy god were the ops hauling it on Superman! They were averaging one minute dispatches, even while using the hand lock. Unreal! I didn't know a flyer could even be out of the station that quickly! Funny, I thought about saving Mind Bender until after dark. This visit was my latest stay by far - both times prior I had to leave around before dusk - and I couldn't think of a better way to celebrate my first time at the park in the dark. However, I got bored around 6:00 PM and ended up only riding it then. GASM left me a little disappointed. I took my second lap on it Sunday after somebody here *we all know who* praised it. The drop after the second turnaround (by the waterpark) surprised me with some very sharp ejector - just what I had been looking for. I sympathize for these classic John Allen rides - and it just wasn't right that I could not recall how I felt about the first time. It's a great it's not Screamin' Eagle. It could just be that I have been whoring Eagle in recent years, but tomorrow I am going back to SFSTL to get a final confirmation on the comparison.
  20. ^I'm pretty sure Maverick standing next door still validates his point, as he stated.
  21. Can we please stop with the really long quotes? I'm pretty sure the argument was against continuous themed areas, not individual ride themes...
