Walibi Holland Discussion Thread
JordyC replied to robbalvey's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
This is the renewed Mainstreet of Walibi Holland The Mainstreet of Walibi Holland had a big make-over. Under the title 'Festivalization', the buildings in the themed area have been repainted in recent weeks, with bright colors, cool English terms and trendy symbols. The interior of some buildings was also renewed. A statue of mascot Walibi had to make way for a work of art with colored bicycles. On top of the exit is now the text "It was all a dream". A wall has been refurbished in the Hall of Fame - the covered area at the Xpress: Platform 13 roller coaster. The theme park was inspired by the style of London's Camden Town district. That district is known for colorful facades with large letters. Walibi will open to the public again Friday. Source -

This is how VR should be implemented, not on 50+ meters tall thrill coasters. I would love to give this a try and *maybe* change my mind on VR coasters. Thanks for sharing! -

Gardaland Discussion Thread
JordyC replied to Rockman89's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Project failed: Italian theme park stops with virtual reality The Italian theme park Gardaland announced a virtual reality roller coaster last year, but the novelty only had a short life. This year the virtual reality headsets on Shaman have already disappeared. That is confirmed by a spokesman. The arrival of the virtual reality was accompanied by long wait times and many technical problems. That is why Gardaland has decided to permanently pull the plug out of the project. All references to virtual reality have been removed from the website of the park. The name of the roller coaster, which was changed from Magic Mountain to Shaman last year, remains the same. Source -

Europa Park Discussion Thread

New designs for Moulin Rouge roller coaster in Europa-Park Europa-Park has released new designs for Eurosat - CanCan Coaster. The well-known indoor rollercoaster Eurosat from 1989 is currently being converted into a rollercoaster with a Moulin Rouge theme. Visitors to the German theme park will soon find themselves in the famous Paris nightclub. On new drawings you can see the queue and the richly decorated station of the attraction. Fountains are coming in front of the entrance. In addition, today the appearance of the new trains was unveiled at a press conference. Eurosat, located in the French themed area of Europa-Park, opens this summer. There will be two stations, one for rides with virtual reality. The layout of the 900 meters long roller coaster remains virtually unchanged. The iconic spiral lift with a height of over 25 meters will also remain. Source: Mack Rides & Looopings -
