  1. I once rode a Pinfari. Need I say anything more?
  2. Hmmm. Given me a lot to think about. How long should I spend at Port Adventura? How many total hours should I spend at the park?
  3. Vegetarian/10 Quorn
  4. Are the rides at Europa really that good. I thought the shows where meant to be the star, reply is I am wrong. Phantasialand looks epic, especially now with Taron.
  5. I am planning to go to two parks in Eurpoe to get my rollercoaster experience up more than what it is currently and want to go on some INSANELY coasters. I thought Helix was insanely good but Robb does not, so I must be missing out. What park in Europe or near by have the best roller coasters.
  6. Oh boy! This could very well be the RMC near(ish) me I have been waiting for! "A combination of wood and steel" yep sounds like RMC to me!
  7. Hey both give different sensations. I have ridden the swarm with the new harness and it is great. The n harness really enhanced the feeling of flying and the freedom around the first invention is always amazing. I would not want the old ones on the Swarm. However I think the old restraints are also nice. I feel that with more intense coasters the old harness is a better choice however on the less intense but more floaty coasters like wing coasters, the new restraints are great. I say give the new ones less grief!
  8. Depends but in total 7/10
  9. That place looks really fun. I love zip wire things and the 'coaster' is something I would definitely want to try. By the way, do you think 30mph on a zip is fast, I have managed 90mph. My face was almost ripped to shred at the speed.
  10. Just to clarify, I did that on purpose
  11. They could have created a whole new story line around it and a cool paint job. If they did it would have absolutely zero impact on the ride experience unless they put tons of theming around the track which is an entirely unrealistic expectation for Cedar Fair. How many highly themed B&M coasters can you think of in America? Even parks like Universal don't theme their B&M coasters outside of the station and queue area (unless you count the launch tunnel on Hulk which nobody does). If you expect things like that then you'll be disappointed every single time. Try to keep your expectations reasonable. It seriously depends on how much longer the park is planning on having this coaster, but Patriot in my opinion seems to lack in creativity.
  12. They could have created a whole new story line around it and a cool paint job. The name does the job of a new name, and the paint is OK, but again, nothing special.
  13. To be honest, this is how I felt about Helix in general. Don't get me wrong, it's a *GREAT* ride, and I'm not sure if it was possibly over-hyped by other people or it's just not really "my thing" but after riding some REALLY intense looping coasters like Kumba, Maverick, iSpeed, etc or launched coasters with AMAZINGLY FORCEFUL launches like Dodonpa, Formula Rossa, and Top Thrill Dragster, that I just felt a *little* underwhelmed by Helix. It could also be that Balder is in the same park, and I'm more of an airtime person than I am an "inversion" person, and to me most of the inversions on Helix felt very similar and not much variety. It's saving grace was the moments of airtime the ride had, but it still didn't compare to Balder across the park. I think Helix is a fantastic, wonderful ride... but it just didn't "thrill" me as much as I was expecting it to. I think that is very interesting, because I had an exact same experience as you, in the way it is definitely not the most intense coaster out there by any respect, but it is just such an awesome ride. I am more of an inversion person, but the two main air time moments just made the ride so much better. I found the air time on Balder too much and too repetitive as well, especially after a whole day at the park, after the ride had massively warmed up (it was also night) and back row. I felt ill and it never ended, just kept throwing my insides up over and over and over again. It was still awesome though, even on the verge of puke! HELIX for the win!
  14. Still trying to explain what a wing coaster is to one member of the GP for 5 years. Yes, the GP just don't seem to pic up the words like that. So you're saying in 5 years you haven't thought to maybe show them a picture or video so they can grasp what you are talking about? I hate this thread. Obviously I have. I have even taken them on a wing coaster, but when I talk about one, every time they need reminding.
  15. Mind-bender
  16. All I have to say is that with my personal experience of stand up rides, I love them, and think they are really different and cool. It makes me sad to see them going and being turned into a more standard ride. One day, people will be crowding to the closing day of the last ever stand up coaster with tears in their eyes. Maybe not, but for me it is a shame to see this, but from the response from other people on the forum, it must be worth it. I look forward to seeing the reviews.

  18. Clones. Clones everywhere. Of every thing. So...many...clones (shivering in corner) ...they're coming!!!
  19. Monster looks really nice, and it looks to be an excellent improvement on the okay Eurofighter model. Hopefully this park will expand some more and in a few years we will see the addition of a new cool coaster.
  20. ^ Threads courtesy of Henry M. Anyway, another thing I would like to know, which I cannot find on the internet, is why rollercoasters are made of wood instead of steel, or even visa versa. Surely making a coaster out of wood is way more limiting than steel (unless you are part of RMC).
  21. You honestly have no idea how useful your response was. However, I'll give you a clue, not very.
  22. Especially is I came along
  23. Thanks, some people were helpful ... others were not. I have concluded to myself that it is a dueling coaster, I guess the only part when it races is over the air time hill but it duels the majority of the time.
  24. Think about it though, it is as dualing as twisted colossus, in the way the trains go through two parts and race each other each time. Look, they race! Sometimes the cars are even head to head on the airtime hill.
  25. I would like to see an exact view or one straight down the track to see if it has changed. I hope it has.
